This gem located close to Hyde Park and in the Royal Lancaster London Hotel, was a culinary delight. My wife who is Thai by birth, also thought we found the best Thai food in London, and for me maybe best outside Thailand. The flavors were intricately developed and blended to petfection. The crab salad was perfectly fried n lightly breaded in a "panko" style. The green curry and pork dish was outstanding and delightful. I eould highly recommend this restaurant for all who like asian food or any first timers. Five stars here.
Good food but wide tables!
The food was tasty and well presented, the staff were very friendly & helpful.
The staff were lovely, the food was great and would definitely go back there.
Went there for a friend’s birthday. They forget the birthday treat at the end but brought out something later once they realised. Great food and service.
Very stylish restaurant, good dishes and a wide range of gluten free choices. Excellent curry. Very attentive service.
Every dishes that we ordered were delicious. Excellent service.
I really enjoy Thai food and this location is good. Lovely attentive staff and lovely decor. Very well presented however for the price of the food I was expecting to be amazed and I wasn't. Tasted as good as other Thai places I had been and much cheaper.
I would recommend going there but only as a one off occassion.
Good food, bar not so good though- I couldn’t have a cocktail ! However, the food was very good.
Always a pleasure to come to Nipa Thai. Location is perfect - a short walk from the Lancaster Gate tube station (Central Line). Wonderful, tasty food in a pleasant and elegant environment. Super taff and great service. We will keep coming back
Amazing food and a really relaxed dinning experience.
Good customer service, the food was very tasty authentic Thai flavours. The steamed seabass was very delicious. My partner and I absolutely loved this restaurant
We went to the restaurant for Valentine’s Day. Quick service but food wasn’t that amazing. We ordered some fish cakes that was very chewy and tasted like frozen supermarket fish cakes. We were hoping for freshly made one so very disappointed. Main course wasn’t too bad but again not impressive. It took us a long time from home with an expensive cab fare to get there so honestly not worth the time & money from our experience.
Thai is my favourite cuisine, I have literally been to about 15 different Thai restaurants in London and this is by far the best Thai restaurant. The food was well cooked and seasoned, the service is wonderful. Top top restaurant, will be coming back here again for sure!
The food at Nipa Thai is excellent, tasty and beautifully presented and there is a very nice relaxed ambience but the service towards the 2nd half of the evening was very slow and that spoiled an otherwise good experience.
Sorry to say was disappointed with the whole experience. Hotel itself feels very old and dated, and not ideal that they had us down for 6:30pm not 8:30pm as per email. Plenty of food and wasnt bad, but not as good as i had expected. Table stuck in the corner and 'Happy Birthday' sung every 10 mins. Was girlfriends birthday also though, but defo not worth the time or effort to get there.
Having ordered a bottle of wine they brought one that had already been opened and was missing about a glass worth of wine. At the end of the meal despite this they did not bring our change despite having charged us 12.5% service charge. Would not return
We always enjoy this restaurant : the food is outstanding and the staff is really nice. The Chandra menu is a must and you will sure take a doggy bag home :-)
Decent sized portions. Good service. Very good flavours. Quite enjoyed the experience here.
Comfortable seating. Convenient location to meet a Business Colleague who had to catch the Heathrow Express from Paddington after dinner.
Top Thai en super bediening
Had a marvellous birthday meal with friends. Scrumptious and extremely filling plus it was great value for money. Definitely recommend and will be back during the warmer months as it over looks Kensington gardens. So happy we found this gem!
Lovely ambience and great food. The service is incredible too.
Great food, nice restaurant but a little expensive.
Good food and intimate experience
Top quality food. Great ambience and attentive service.
Good Thai food, but the real charm is the service and ambience.
Great for a special occasion, but a bit pricey for general dining.
The ambiance was very nice as was the service....couldn't do enough for us. The two of us had a small bottle of sparkling water, one glass of Sauvignon Blanc (shared), one Papaya Salad, one chef's noodles, one chicken cashew nuts (fair), a fried rice with vegetables. The cost for the two of us was about $91.00...a bit on the high side, but the atmosphere and service were outstanding so all in all a pleasant experience. We would return.
The service at this restaurant was exceptional. The food was tasty. We opted for the early bird menu which was very good value.
We are becoming regulars at Nipa Thai and each time we go it just gets better and better. I had the pleasure of meeting the Head Chef Sanguan Parr, a lovely and supremely talented chef who is maintaining the Thai tradition where the kitchen is a female domain! I cannot praise Nipa Thai enough - anyone who wants to know what proper Thai food should taste like – and to experience what it would be like to east in restaurant in Bangkok - then this is the place to go. We will be back very soon…..
The Food, ambience and service were great 👍🏽
Very good service and nice food. Loved the tasting starter! And the wine from Thailand.
Very good restaurant, more specifically the food, the service and the ambiance were all excellent.
Very cosy atmosphere with dim lights and elegant decor. Suitable for most occasions that are not intended to be boisterous Next time in England we will return.
Met up with our daughter and son-in-law to celebrate her birthday. Chatted with the maitre de on our arrival and mentioned our daughter's birthday. She was presented with a helium balloon and brought a special dessert with a candle. Food was fantastic. We chose the set menu - I have to avoid gluten and the only thing I had to avoid was the spring rolls. We opted for the wines paired with the different courses but I think another time we would choose to share a bottle of wine. Would definitely recommend.
The food was lovely and the staff were very sweet
Superb food served in a cosy atmosphere. The view over the park from the front tables is beautiful.
Fantastic food and very friendly and helpful service. Beautiful restaurant - would definitely go back.
We came back a second time this week and were so very glad we did. Ordered off the ala carte menu this time for 5 people. All delicious. Highly recommend the phad Thai with Prawns (I've sampled phad Thai throughout the US and even in Europe and I've never had better). My husband raved about his spicy sea bass dish. Even the desserts. Most of all, the attentive staff gave impeccable and polite service. Pretty views of Kensington Gardens/ Hyde Park too.
Hands down the best Thai food we have ever eaten! We did the tasting menu and were pleasantly surprised from start to finish. Great attentive staff. Overlooking the park. If you travel before the construction is done (summer 2017), ask for directions as the way in is through another restaurant. Anyhow, we've already booked it again and bringing family and friends!
Best Thai in London! It is also our neighbourhood favourite!
Celebrated my wife's 50th birthday with family.
Excellent service and food - knowledgeable head waiter who suggested alterations to dishes to suit us (vegetarians).
Good setting for a quieter meal.
Not very easy to find as part of hotel.
