No 1 The Bank
Lovely food, ambience and service.
Excellent food, excellent service. Convenient location for visitors to Perth.
First time dining here and can not fault it. We took dad out for Father’s Day and the glass of bubbles with the lunch was a real treat. Excellent food.
Celebrated my 64th birthday here with my wife following a piano recital in Perth Concert Hall. Service was prompt, friendly and unobtrusive and we had a window table with a delightful view across South Inch and the Tay. The food was excellent; imaginative and well prepared. The dessert, in particular, was amazing! It was also extremely good value. One of the most enjoyable meals we have had north of the border and the perfect way to end a memorable birthday.
A fabulous place with excellent food & extensive well priced wine list. Can’t wait to go back.
Excellent all in all but maybe quiet background music would add to the atmosphere. Unfortunately there was a noisy table of ladies who spoiled the atmosphere!!
Lovely place, been there twice for dinner already. Quiet, cozy, nice food.
As always the food was excellent and service was wonderful. It’s pricey but tasty!
Dining area has nice views across parkland. Food was excellent, everything cooked to perfection.
Very friendly reception by owner and staff, lovely location, very nice place.
Excellent service and good grub.
Canadian friends very impressed.
The restaurant had no atmosphere whatsoever, it was cold, the lighting was inadequate for dining, there was no background music, which might have helped, we were the only people in the place and it was like a mausoleum. The food wasn't good quality, certainly not for the price charged. We booked as we didn't know the area, but went out into the town afterwards to meet up with a business colleague and realised there's a good range of really good restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. We actually decided to eat out for breakfast as we couldn't face the dining room again, and had a great breakfast at a lovely little Scandi-style cafe in the town.
Food was well prepared.
The attendant may be rude at times, take the meal 2 notches down.
First visit to the Parklands, and what a treat it was )
a perfect setting, on a lovely day
all was just perfect and the welcome great
for sure, a return visit is planned, lunchtime
or for an evening meal - and the rooms?-if as good
as the meal then ...............
Excellent meal - delicious good portions and beautifully cooked. Great Service from friendly staff.
We had Sunday lunch at No. 1 The Bank in Perth, Scotland and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant, which is part of the Parklands hotel, is in a pleasant setting overlooking the park. The park is also handy for that after lunch stroll. We ordered the venison casserole, battered haddock and a burger and all were fine. It is not haute cuisine but it is tasty wholesome food. We also enjoyed the brioche and butter pudding. Cost was £80 for three for food and drinks. The service was quick and friendly.
The monkfish was tough, in parts inedible. When we mentioned this, to two different people it was greeted with indifference. This was a shame as all other aspects of th meal were good.
Good, up to a point. Quiet ambience, pleasant staff, nice touches like fresh-baked bread and good butter. The food is fine but unexceptional, portions on the small side and everything considerably overpriced. At c £20 for a two course lunch, it is little wonder the place was deserted.
No 1 The Bank, Perth. The service, food and location were excellent. The location is overlooks a large park so would probably be very popular in the summer months. I found my seafood risotto starter a little salty, but otherwise it was a delicious and well-presented meal. Portion sizes were hearty so I couldn't finish all my main. The only thing lacking was more diners!
Overall a realy good evening. There was 4 of us and all totally agreed that the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the venison and there New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was really good. Will go back
Visited No 1 The Bank, at Perth on a Sunday night. Busy restaurant so would need to book in advance. The menu covered all cuisine areas of the world. Decor of the restaurant was some what dated, but fitted well with the rest of the hotel. Food was good and everything was cooked well/ as requested- had beef fillet- excellent piece of beef. Service was friendly but they were busy- only had 2 members of staff.
We visited No 1 Bank in Perth last night. The ambience of the place was delightful and the staff were very attentive. The food was presented beautifiully and was well cooked. The range on the menu was more than acceptable and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The only thing I would say is that the prices did not reflect the price information on the site. That being said the food was definitely value for money and we will be going again..

Great spot. Food was fantastic. Staff very nice but could have been a bit better trained.
Had a very tasty meal. Would recommend.
We had the Valentine's menu. Starters of red mullet in Thai broth were tast. Mains of lamb and beef were excellent. We found the service friendly and attentive. They clearly take cooking very seriously here, and we'd recommend highly.
Enjoyed a great meal here and use the offer on the wine so it made for a good night. We had drinks is the small bar, where our order was taken and then moved throught to No 1 The Bank for or meal. The food was just right, with plenty of local/Scottish things on the menu. Presentation and flavours were excellent and we managed 3 courses without feeling over full. Apart from our bottle of Sauvingnon Blanc we had a 1/2 bottle of Cotes du Rhone from the extensive wine list. Excellent evening.
No 1 The Bank, Perth
good menu with plenty of choice. food was delicious and beautifully presented but on balance we felt that the main course was a bit small and for the men in particular it wasn't filling enough. for four of us with the wine deal and extra drinks it was £40 a head including tip.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal the food and presentation was excellent..
Four of us visited No 1 The Bank for dinner recently in the bistro. Reception was warm and helpful, table service efficient. Food was of good quality and enjoyed by all. Cost including pre-dinner drinks, wine and tip came to £37 per person. I would recommend to others.
first time at No.1 The Bank, Perth and can't praise the food enough. An anniversary treat with my wife we both enjoyed the offer menu at £17.50 for three courses. Everything tasted lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.
It may have been our first time here but it won't be our last.
No 1 The Bank Perth
Made very welcome, nice room, with good menu.Service was excellent and the food was well cooked, presentation was good, and very tasty.
Only minor criticism -they had run out of Dijon mustard and also strawberry icecream!
Would certainly go back.
No 1 The Bank, Perth, Scotland
Had booked lunch for a party of 8, unfortunately 2 had to cancel. This was no problem for the staff; the table was quietly relaid as we perused the menus in the bar. We had opted for the summer menu which offered a good and balanced choice of starters, mains and desserts. Between us we selected the main food options - meat, fish and vegetarian - all were deemed to be excellent. Service was effortlessly efficient and seemed to happen without us noticing. Great.
We had a great value meal at No 1 The Bank in Perth. No complaints. Fully booked the night we were there so obviously popular.
I visited No 1 The Bank in Perth on Friday 4th Sept. 2009 and had a thoroughly enjoybale lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy, but we had a lovely, bright table looking out the window. The food was excellent Scottish fayre at a reasonable price, and the service was what we wanted - attentive without being intrusive or over zealous. Would definitely return.
No 1 The Bank in Perth. Excellent meal and great service, will definately book again.
Excellent meal. Fantastic food and very good value for money. Leave room for the great desserts. Decent wine list at reasonable prices too.
No 1 The Bank was busy when we went but the service was spot on with a nice welcome drink in the bar whilst ordering and coffees in the lounge afterwards. The food was seasonal, good value an excellently prepared by the chef. I will return as it was a great evening for us both.
No 1 The Bank: The Food was excellent but service very slow; to be fair the waitress was new & it was a Monday night, they had 6 covers booked in (us) & they had more than 20 on the night - they couldn't cope with the staff they had rota'd on; we expected far better from a very highly rated restaurant regardless of the staff issues they encountered.
Food & wine was excellent & well presented; which is a truer measure of how good it could have bave been. I would go back because the food was good
The No1 Bank was a real exception find and has great views from bistro over the garden with lots of parking, its easy to locate, food was delicious with great choice on menu and very good service provided. Relaxed atmosphere which made the day more special.
no. 1 the bank Pirth is a smart restaurant attached to a small hotel. it offers fine dining in a conservatory. Good selection of dishes, seared scollops a little salty but the other dishes excellent.
The food was excellent. Interesting flavours and well presented. Ambience is average but may improve with a window seat. Coffee in Catetiere woul be preferable to single cups.
