About Noor Jahan 2
One of London’s classic curry houses, Noor Jahan 2 is located between Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations. Convenient and popular, this restaurant has attracted high-profile clientele such as Damien Hirst, Jeremy Clarkson and Tony Blair, and the unassuming blue and gold themed restaurant is famous for its punchy curries and friendly service. The lemon walls and slate-blue chairs and plush carpets add the upmarket atmosphere, and Noor Jahan 2 is often host to a number of business dinners and private celebrations. Highlights from the menu include the Tandoori lamb chops marinated in yoghurt, ginger, malt vinegar and royal cumin; the Achari chicken made with lemon juice, fennel, mustard seeds and red chillies; and the classic Goan fish curry made with coconut cream.

Noor Jahan 2 Ratings and Reviews
Perfekte Entscheidung! Ein richtig leckerer Abend, vielen Dank!!!
The food is really fabulous at Noor Jahan 2. We had four different dishes from Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Biriyani to Duck. In all cases the dishes were distinctly and beautifully spiced. If I lived near this restaurant I would be there on a weekly basis. A truly memorable meal.
The foods was amazing, there are four of us. My hubby was on business in London and we invited our daughter and husband to join us for dinner. It's our first time here, we all enjoyed our foods as we like our curries spicy hot and we were not disappointed.
The service is like I was in Taj Hotel in Goa, fine dining. We will definitely coming back here! Many thanks.
We went as a group of 14, for a meal after work. The service was a little slow but that was understandable as the restaurant was very busy and we were a large group. It did not matter as the place has a lively atmosphere and is good fun. There was a good range of spicy and non-spicy choices which suited our group as there was some curry beginners among us.
Expertly prepared meals in an inviting environment. The dishes were expertly spiced to add some heat without over shadowing the complexity of the dishes. The space is well sound proofed so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. If you like Indian food, I'd highly recommend this venue.
We have eaten here many times, always excellent food. On this occasion there was a bit of a problem and the food took longer than usual to arrive. Not the end of the world but they still brought a couple of complimentary beers and offered to waive the service charge. In all fairness we did not feel it was right to not pay the service but we really appreciated the offer.
This is a great estuary the and we will be back!
The only other comment is that downstairs, despite appearances, is a great experience!
I have been to this restaurant about 50 times, and I continue to believe that they have the best authentic Indian food in London. I only eat Indian food here and at Tamarind in Mayfair. It never disappoints. And the continuity in the staff is great, they have been there for years and are so welcoming.
As always, I seek our Noor Jahan 2 for the amazing food, even though the service is lackluster at best. We had made reservations, were sat, and then asked to move! Have had similar experiences there before, too. Oh well, can overlook the poor service for amazing dishes. Try the saag, always a fragrant, fresh dish.
Noor Jahan 2 in Paddington is the restaurant where you take your mother-in-law who is visiting from Bangalore. Your esteem will immediately rise fifteen points in her eyes. The myriad dishes from the whole spectrum of India are executed with brilliance. The staff is most attentive and eager to make recommendations based upon your tastes. The starters are a mix of original and standard dishes. The lamb and vegetarian mains are impeccable.
I realize that we have many Indian restaurants in California, however, I have never had King Prawn Bhuna until visiting Noor near Paddington. That was almost a year ago and it was the first thing that came to mind when we visited again. The service is always superb and the ambience is warm and welcoming.
Noorjahan brand supposedly one of the oldest Indian restaurants in London delicious, superb Food and excellent service it dose lives up to its Reputation.
Well worth a visit to this Indian restaurant, Bit on the expensive side but If you like authentic Indian food this is a must try, you get what you pay for.
Noor Jahan 2, London.
Great food and excellent service. Group of 15 was very well accomodated despite the fact I had to change the booking time at short notice and a few of us were late arriving. Would reccommend and will definitely visit again when eating in the area.
First time at the Noor Jahan 2 in W2, we were greeted by polite and friendly staff and shown to our table by the window, their best or one of their best tables, perhaps as we had booked through Top Table. The food was excellent, delicious and refreshingly different from other Indian food we have had. The tandoori lamb chops are great and the Achari chicken well spiced and succulent. A nice touch after we had finished, the owner asked if we liked the food, we did and will go back with our friends
A high quality Indian food experience. The food was very good. The waitstaff were genuinely attentive, and the ambience was notably more refined than one would expect given the pricing. One small point of note, the wine pricing does not really match the food pricing, and hence the purchase of a bottle of wine will significantly increase the final bill. Despite this, the restaurant was chosen based on its good reviews, and we were certainly not disappointed.
