Noor Jahan 2
Brilliant food served by great staff, who really know how to deliver wonderful service.
One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever visited. Outstanding food and extremely friendly service. This was our second visit and the food and service have been impeccable on both occasions
Food was plated to you which I didn’t want as my friend and I couldn’t share dishes. Quality of chicken poor, king prawns more like cheap prawns from Iceland and popodum sauces which are my fav lacking in flavour and portion size!
The food was good but far to sweet! All dishes were sweet.
Excellent food. Slightly over attentive service. Good wine list.
Twice in three days! Need I say more? Definitely sit downstairs or outside patio. Every dish is spectacular! Gluten free dishes too!! Will always return whenever visiting London! See you soon gentlemen!!
Our family travels to London from Canada at least once a year. Every visit includes at least one dinner at Noor Jahan 2. The food is spectacular! The service is amusing, and adds to the fun of the evening. Would highly recommend this to everyone. The downstairs level has a fabulous atmosphere - arched doorways and up one step to some levels, and down a step to others. Main floor dining is not our preference. And on a nice evening dining at the tables outside is absolutely lovely! Able to order mild, medium, hot or deadly spice levels lol. Their butter chicken is awesome and GLUTEN FREE for me (as are many other dishes) and is a fave of the young children also. You should make reservations as it is very popular and worth the visit!!
We had high expectations after reading reviews. Service cannot be faulted. The onion bajis were mushy and the veggie samosas lacked flavor. My chicken tikka and sheesh kebab starter was good. I decided to order only a veg after the other starters were disappointing. My partner ordered the special house lamb, which was far too creamy, and not very flavorful, even though he asked for it spicy. Spicy does not always mean HOT. I suppose our four years of living in Singapore got us used to real Indian cuisine, with no brakes on full flavor. Not horrible, but we'd never go back. Sad, because the waiters are spot on and very welcoming. Order grilled dishes, if you go. They seem to have a handle on those, as well as garlic naan.
This food and atmosphere is outstanding. The prices are excellent given the quality. This lovely little restaurant is a well kept secret. We go there again and again.it is difficult to find such a place in London that delivers quality food and atmosphere for an awesome price.
Excellent good good service very nice ambiance
Great food at good pricing and lots of quantity along with very good service.
I ask you this. How is it I could book a table for 5 people at 7.30 on a Thursday and have it confirmed by Open Table, on the day before my visit I get a second confirmation, yet when I get to the restaurant they have no record of my booking? How can this happen.?
I should add the restaurant managed a table for my party and were attentive and the food was very good, but it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence regarding Open Table. Luckily I live nearby and managed to sort this out before my guests arrived, but I was rather perplexed.
Very nice food. Good friendly and professional service. We will come back again soon!
My favorite Indian restaurant in London. It is located fairly close to the Lancaster Gate tube station. The service and the food are superb. I have never had a bad meal here in all the years I've been going! Keep up the great work!
Food was slow to come, staff took our plates when our food was not finished, could tell the staff were disinterested and to add insult to injury pretty sure they inflated the bill as was a lot more than what we'd ordered. Would recommend avoiding
Excellent menu choice
Food tasted excellent
Service not rushed
Great food and the taste great ..so go there
The local service was great also you can book a table down stairs .
Just brilliant. Best Jalfrezi I’ve ever had. A must try
Very attentive staff👍🏽
The experience of my party and I surpassed our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious - authentic recipe,s where you could taste the unique blend of herbs and spices. I could not fault the service : the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant surroundings were pleasant and the toilets were immaculate. We would highly recommend the Noor Jahan 2 restaurant to others!
Always an excellent night .. great food and service
Always a super experience. Food is authentic in its spices. Service is superb. I come here every time I am in London.
Food was amazing and a great value!!!!! We sat downstairs which was a tad claustrophobic but staff was very very nice! Highly recommend!
Great little Indian restaurant. I've been looking for a quiet and authentic spot for great food from India. This will surely be a perfect find promising delicious cuisine and tasty sauces. Try the chicken tikka masala with a lassi - include it with an order of plain naan. Spectacular.
Simply the best Indian food in London! I have been coming since my grandfather took me to the original on Bina Gardens in 1972.
Good service in a tucked away neighborhood in Kensington. We lo rd it and the food was great. I would definitely return.
Very welcoming and waiters were very kind and patient to explain about the dishes . Taste was wonderful and completely changed my mood to happiness and joy . Will go again .
I have yet to have a meal here that was less than excellent. The service is superb -- and Abdul is an excellent manager. I eat here every time I come to London and love it!
Wonderful as always.
The food was really nice but the service was very rude. The waiters kept hanging around our table and checked on us every few minutes which was quite distracting. It seemed they were trying to hurry us out. When we asked for a menu to work out how to split the bill they rolled their eyes and then very rudely pointed out when we were 2 quid off paying the full tip that they had added (though it said it is optional on the menu). Would not recommend or go back.
Always a winner! The food, service, and setting are quite pleasing every time.
Great tasting food, excellent service. Very attentive and curteous waiters.
Noor Jahan 2 has been my number 1 Indian choice in London for a very long time. I live in the neighbourhood so regular take aways are a part of our week. But when i have guests visiting London we go to the restaurant and it is always such a hit. The food is delicious, fresh and special. Not at all the typical curries that you can find anywhere. The staff are very attentive. Service is quick but you are never rushed. So all in all, it is a lovely night out.
What I really loved about the restaurant was 1) the food and 2) the attendant service. This was the most flavorful indian food I have ever tried! Everything was perfect and in balance. The portions were more than generous. And I loved how the waiters served everything in a formal way, yet gave us our privacy. For such a small space, they do a wonderful job, and I felt almost as if in NYC with the vibe. The neighborhood is awesome and it was great to walk around and duck in a couple of pubs afterwards for a pint and to check out football on the telly. Many thanks!
The restaurant was a recommendation and we loved every dish. The food was spectacular and flavorful. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Definitely will return next time we are in the UK.
We were 5 persons sitting at a table for 4 so it was crowded and the service was not terribly friendly. The food was pretty good.
I eat in this superb Indian restaurant every time I am in London -- and I have never been disappointed. The maître d' and the waitstaff are extremely attentive and professional. The food is super. The lamb chop hors d'oeuvres are always tender and tasty. The spicing of the main dishes is excellent as well.
The food is excellent, the revive good and the prices very fair for the location. BUT, my pet hate, they add a 12.5% service charge and then leave the card machine open to leave a tip. I think this is simply a deceit for the inattentive diner.
So, we go back for the food but get annoyed by the duplication!
Hi Noor Jahan was near our hotel and had good reviews so we tried it. While crowded they held our reseved outside table when others with no reservation were insisting on it and that impressed me.
It was very crowded with a few larger parties downstairs which slowed service but the food was worth the wait. Top Indian restaurant in Paddington area.
This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. If you know of any better please let me know
First trip to London.
