One of London’s classic curry houses, Noor Jahan 2 is located between Paddington and Lancaster Gate stations. Convenient and popular, this restaurant has attracted high-profile clientele such as Damien Hirst, Jeremy Clarkson and Tony Blair, and the unassuming blue and gold themed restaurant is famous for its punchy curries and friendly service. The lemon walls and slate-blue chairs and plush carpets add the upmarket atmosphere, and Noor Jahan 2 is often host to a number of business dinners and private celebrations. Highlights from the menu include the Tandoori lamb chops marinated in yoghurt, ginger, malt vinegar and royal cumin; the Achari chicken made with lemon juice, fennel, mustard seeds and red chillies; and the classic Goan fish curry made with coconut cream.

This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. If you know of any better please let me know

This was my first time to Noor Jahan II and I was very disappointed with the service. We were a group of 6, taken down to the basement for seating and our waiter was not friendly at all. Felt like we were an imposition. Got our popadums and bottle of wine quickly, but then he was gone. Had to flag him down to place our order. We then waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive. So a full hour from sitting down to dinner. The food was delicious. But the service was very, very poor.

What a sharp contrast to the original Noor Jahan near Gloucester Road where the food and service are outstanding.

A really good and popular local Indian with lots of regulars, good food and great curry. Tables very close together and staff a bit surly but it always delivers and there is a weird charm to their apathy !!

Great curry and every dish excellent. Good menu and decent honest ruby. Good local feel and regulars but you sit really close to the other tables. Fine if you are four or more but if just two of you then you do feel very hemmed in. It is though this popular for good reason.

Perfekte Entscheidung! Ein richtig leckerer Abend, vielen Dank!!!

The food, as always, was good, this is a cut above a standard Indian restaurant. We arrived about twenty minutes early for our meal so we weren't surprised when the servers were a bit slow to take our orders although even getting a few poppadoms was hard work. Unfortunately, the service remained a little inattentive, they are usually better than this but we had to ask twice for extras including the bill.
I'll still go again though, the menu is a bit different and the wine list good and reasonably priced for the location.

Delicious food. Love it. Amazing. You do have to be a little careful with the waiter. Both times being here I've ordered an appetizer or side and he'll quietly ask "2", can't hear the guy and just agree and end up getting more food than the table can eat. But once again since the food is great it's not the worst thing

The food was lovely and the staff were pleasant my only downside was that the restaurant advertises itself as ‘child friendly’ which is one of the main reasons for choosing this restaurant. Was extremely disappointed to find there were no child seats and my 9 month old had to passed around friends and family so people could eat their meals. Great place if you don’t need a high chair.

Always a wonderful meal: authentic, fresh, tasty, skillfully served and appropriately spiced Indian food. The management and staff are genuine and friendly -- but they won't bother you unless you want to speak to them. A super restaurant!

The food is really fabulous at Noor Jahan 2. We had four different dishes from Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Biriyani to Duck. In all cases the dishes were distinctly and beautifully spiced. If I lived near this restaurant I would be there on a weekly basis. A truly memorable meal.

The foods was amazing, there are four of us. My hubby was on business in London and we invited our daughter and husband to join us for dinner. It's our first time here, we all enjoyed our foods as we like our curries spicy hot and we were not disappointed.

The service is like I was in Taj Hotel in Goa, fine dining. We will definitely coming back here! Many thanks.

The restaurant is only a 7 minutes walk from Paddington station. The service is extremely attentive and friendly, though, there are several waiters per table which takes a bit getting used to. Still, you are not left wanting for anything. The food was here very quickly and it was delicious. Served hot and freshly made the chicken was succulent, the vegetables were flavourful, the sauces creamy with a hint of spice, and the fragrant rice was very well made. The prices were affordable particularly considering the restaurant's central location. Overall a great dining experiences and highly recommendable.

We went as a group of 14, for a meal after work. The service was a little slow but that was understandable as the restaurant was very busy and we were a large group. It did not matter as the place has a lively atmosphere and is good fun. There was a good range of spicy and non-spicy choices which suited our group as there was some curry beginners among us.

Great spot for UK indian cuisine. our large party enjoyed the dinner a great deal.
our only issue was that the wine list was inconsistent with wine served - bottle delivered was lower quality than that listed.

The food is not bad even if I have eaten Indian cooked much better. Excellent chiken tikka and nan bread. Bad service, with the waiter incapable of any suggestion about dishes (or unfriendly?) and that autonomly added a portion of the same dish deciding that what we had ordered was not enough. It would be better to ask me if I preferred to add a different dish. Despite having booked we were placed in a basement not too hot. Scruffy decorated. No homely atmosphere at all, as other reviews indicated. Expensive for the portions. In total we had: 2 small Samosa, 6 small chicken pieces (200g in total) 1 beer pint 2 nan breads and one portion of rice 40 pounds.
