Good cocktails to have as an aperitif. The NOPI Negroni was very good.
The starters are great for sharing with really creative and delicious versions of some classic Greek/Mediterranean dishes.
The offers dedicated gluten free menu and
The main dishes were the absolute highlight. The grilled sea bass came with red curry paste, cucumber sambal and pineapple - a very unique Thai twist that worked out brilliantly.
For dessert I had a key lime pie which I can definitely recommend too!
- the added perk: all of my dishes were gluten free and they had provided a gluten free menu
- just be aware that they make everything in an open kitchen. The waitress said that they try very hard to be careful but obviously can’t guarantee anything.
Absolutely delicious! I was very impressed. Highly recommended.
Ausgezeichnet, beginnend mit dem Cocktail, den spicy nuts bis hin zum Dessert
Being looked after by Amy and Jack, nothing could ever go wrong. The dinner was, once again, way better than the play we went to see. Lots of love! ❤
Absolutely fantastic food! They mixed very unusual ingredients and created wonderful dishes.
The food was superb (although a little over-priced) and the service was good. However, the noise levels were very high, including background music that was unnecessary and added to the noise level.
One thing that I thought was unacceptable was that we had to stand waiting for ten minutes for our 1pm table. This wouldn't have bothered me much except that at 2:20, as we were about to order post-lunch cocktails, we were told we weren't allowed them because the table was booked out at 2:20! So we had the table for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was therefore a rushed lunch. Not on, for lunch at about £50 per person...
Very expensive (2 slices of bread at the price of a full loaf of bread, the profit margin must be huge just on the slice of bread), hipster extorsion with small plates. Some of the plates are good and well executed but at what price.
As always, delicious, freshly cooked dishes (sea bass, fritters, savoury beetroot cheesecake). Friendly and prompt service. Good wine selection.
Extrem laut, Essen zu teuer, Service gut, Weine (Naturweine) ziemlich sonderbar.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Very welcoming hosts and servers, who talked us through the menu and gave recommendations after enquiring on any dietary requirements.
A perfect lunch within a short timeframe at the bar! Nice people who enjoy their job combined with Outstanding service ! The food was delicious, above our expectations!
I was expecting the food to be as appealing as we see on pictures, with a big buffet.
But I think I might chose the wrong Ottolenghi.
Plates are small, the price is high, for not to much of a work.
Everything is about decoration and Instagram picture but what about the taste ??
The roasted eggplant wasn't that roasted
The beetroots had no taste at all
And worse of all, the waiters keep on coming to our table to refill our glass of water.
As soon as we had a sip of water, someone was coming to refill our glass.
We couldn't have a conversation without being interrupted.
Just a delicious meal - fantastic flavours and fresh unusual combinations. My Thai basil salad and gnocchi were outstanding. Superb service.
The food is good but some of the tapas plates feel a little small and some of the ingredients could do with more life in them. Otto Lenghi has a huge reputaion especially for his amazing blends of flavours and ingridients and when you have to wait 3 month to get a table you want it to be absolutley mind blowing and not like his Cafes (Some of the dishes were on the same level and they should be better for the money). The wine is very expensive.
Loved the flexibility of the menu and the relaxed, helpful, efficiency of the restaurant team. Chestnut/clementine meringue best dessert ever!
Wonderful tasting food, gorgeous combination of flavours.
Food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was having to wait for 35 minutes for our table as the previous booking lingered after settling the bill. This was a bit frustrating and the staff were apologetic but not ideal
There was no electricity and therefore no hot drink other than filter coffee available and no fruit juices.
They had also run out of croissants by the time we arrived at 11am on a Sunday.
This is all pretty bad but even worse: no real attempt to apologise or compensate us - a free drink for example? - for the inconvenience we faced.
Very disappointing that such a restaurant should face a crisis like this and expect customers just to like it or lump it.
The tastes werd exquisite. Definitely worth a visit!!
The food is amazing, great atmosphere. Our wait staff were awesome and very knowledgable, only reason we gave 4 stars for the service was because we had an interaction with the manager and she was a bit grouchy that we asked for ice cream with the chocolate ganache (which they should definitely be including as it made it so much better)... Definitely recommend!!!
Great food and service that went the extra mile. Love Nopi!
Just the best in the world. Second visit and even better than the first.
This is somewhere a little different (food-wise). We had the shawarma, love rice and some sides, this was a lovely combination of flavours however, the portions are not too large but the wines reasonably priced and the recommended Sicilian @£53 a bottle was outstanding (exceptionally smooth, hint of spice and very drinkable). The stark white walls may not be to everyone's liking and personally the white tiles look more in keeping in a public convenience rather than high-end restaurant (but maybe that's just me)
Very good service and lovely ambience. Food was superb.
Perfect in every way. Staff and food exceptional. We had sharing plates and would totally recommend this way of dining as an opportunity to sample the amazing dishes. We had a Catalan white to accompany our food a great lunchtime wine
NOPI is one of my favourite restaurants. It has got it all, amazing food, lovely staff, great ambience and fabulous toilets!
The dining experience met all of my expectations and more. Highly recommended.
Ottolenghi's bizarro-world evil twin. Everything was weird in a bad way instead of his Upper Street good way. Sea bass was overcooked and mushy, with a smear of hot Thai red pepper sauce across it that killed whatever was beneath it. Cauliflower discs were pankoed so heavily that no cauliflower could be discerned beneath the breading. Tasty polenta chips covered with parmesan were served with a bizarre mustard sauce when they were crying out for something tomato based. A beautiful salad made of only red leaves came with a dressing so meager and so lacking in oil and acid that leaves were essentially undressed. Cod was inappropriately flavoured with god-knows-what that killed the fish. No bread. The desserts were marvelous. The two of us had a chocolate ball of ice cream sauced with red currants. Divine! And chocolate ice cream with caramelized pasta-looking wafers and--probably not a good idea--a sauce containing whiskey. Brandy would have been better. The staff attention was outstanding and made a miserable meal better. Terrible aggressive pounding music.
Nopi gnocchi will be now my favourite gnocchi. Delicious as always. Looking forward to coming back!
Excellent flavours and attentive service in crisp modern surroundings
Food was absolutely excellent. Burrata was incredible.
Service was very good at the bar. We also had the duck which was delicious.
Really great restaurant
As always, first class service and food. Vegetarian options always a stand out, but the soft shell crab was excellent. Brilliant again.
I'm a big fan of Ottolenghi food and I was very impressed.
Beautifully curated menu, delicate presentation, and delicious bites from beginning to end.
Delicious, innovative take on an ancient cuisine served in a cozy, modern environment alongside truly fantastic drinks. Highly recommend.
The service was amazing, staff so friendly and attentive. However food was mediocre
The dinner was absolutely exquisite and the staff was amazing! We had a great experience!
Delicuous! And familiar! Absolutly friendly and very well curated interior! But i did not like the paper blankets. ;)
Fantastic food, exceptional staff and a fantastic setting for an evening out
