Really very good all round. The reception was a bit brusque, table not ready and no hint of apology despite rather draconian table timing policy and having rushed to get there on time.
Nevertheless quickly dealt with and forgotten and really very good service indeed after that. Food excellent, which is what you’d expect but nevertheless a memorable experience.
After hearing good things, we expected more. The food was just okay. The two appetizers were both cold and not at all memorable. The Sea Bass as a main course was good, but the crispy polenta with truffle side dish was very unbalanced and overly dominated by the "truffle" flavor.
I went to Nopi for my friend's birthday for lunch.
It was crowded even though it was late afternoon-ish during weekdays
but nevertheless the service was impeccable as well as the food
(the usual you can expect from Ottolenghi)
They also kindly have given the birthday girl a small memorable treat with a candle
which was totally uncalled for. Loved the experience as a whole and will be returning.
They also have a downstairs where you can organise a nice intimate party with the open view of
the active kitchen. It also has a fab bathroom (you will know when you get there)
Good food nice atmosphere shame Yotam wasn’t there to meet!
The place was good, the food also was good, but by all means the staff are not friendly specially if you have children, we came and immediately the waitress told us the kitchen will close in few minutes even though we came on time. So, for sure I won’t recommend it and will not go again. Specially to Soho branch, may be the other branches are better.
Fabulous food loved it . Lovely wine . Great desert
Fantastic food and very helpful staff. Highly recommend.
I loved the evening at NOPI.
The athmosphere is cool and relaxed, making it suitable for an easy casual dinner/lunch, a dinner with friends, a celebration and even a date. The food was tasty but balanced at the same time, well prepared and nicely presented. Differently from other similar places in London, the staff was friendly and ready to help you without resulting oppressing.
I would recommend this restaurant and for sure I'll come back net time I'll be in London!
This is a spectacular restaurant! The waitress was wonderful and the meal was outstanding!
Booked Nopi once more for a celebration with two friends and the food and service did not disappoint. We enjoyed delicious colourful healthy food options mixed in with some naughty but nice desserts.
The only disappointment was the strict 1.5 hour rule for your table, which can make the meal feel a little rushed.
Our waitress truly understood the meaning of what good customer service is about. She was lovely in every way and helped to make our evening celebrating 50 years of friendship a great success. Thank you Nopi!
One of party had a citrus allergy and the team did a great job managing this.
Absolutely London owned restaurant, exquisite cusine, fun and delicious food. A London Gem.
Try Rose wine from Greece, crisp and mastering your taste buds, delicious.
food was amazing as always but they need to be less rushed about. made it feel a tiny bit less special
Great food, great ambience and great staff, especially after I accidentally set the menu on fire 😬😱
Our trip to NOPI far exceded our expectations! The food was fabulous, the staff were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We WILL be back!
Fantastic food and very attentive service, ———————
Excellent vegetable dishes and nibbles, as expected. Both fish mains we ordered (sea bass and, I think, turbot) were tired. Well made dishes, but we both thought that they weren’t totally fresh. Charming and excellent service, and a lovely venue.
The service was very friendly and efficient. I selected this restaurant as was lunching with a vegetarian - the small plates to share were very tasty and unusual. The waitress advised us to order 5 dishes, which was too much for lunch, so would say that 4 is ample. Great atmosphere.
Our first visit. We had four plates to share and a fruit juice each. Bill was £52. Will come back
Met my son & his girlfriend for a pre wedding celebration. Great food, friendly service, light bright & fun.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. The staff and the service amazing, so friendly and professional. We had 6 dishes from the sharing menu plenty for 2 people everything was delish, so many other dishes we wanted to try, I guess we'll just have to go back.
From beginning to end, and every exquisite morsel in between, Nopi was pure heaven. Fresh, exciting food, friendly, knowledgeable service and a table at the window. Perfect.
We had a marvelous evening with our friends and sampled almost 20 dishes. Our waitress Alek had the best suggestions which everyone at the table really liked. All of the dishes were tasty and creative and converted even a conservative eater in to an adventurer.
We spent a great evening. Wonderful food, very friendly staff. When we entered the music was very loud, everybody in the room was talking quite loudly because of it, so noise level was high. But when we asked if they could turn the volume down a bit they did. This was really appreciated, and helped us to have the great evening we had.
Good to excite the taste buds.
Free fizzy and flat water
Wonderful pre theatre menu
Fantastic food (as ever) and excellent service, made for a great celebration meal.
We had a very nice evening at Nopi. The food was really good, very special, different and made from good ingredients.
The only disappointing thing was that during balancing the bill we told the waitress to add a tipp to the credit card and said 120,00 GBP. On the slip there were printed 220,00 GBP which I only noticed by incidence. We told her and she just said that she was misled. That was a bit annoying, no excuse or explanation. Though before she was really nice and we had good conversation.
That left a mixed feeling...
Excellent food and service - wonderful place for a special night out, yet not too fancy. The cheesecake, courgette fritters and chocolate ganache were our favorite sharable plates.
Lovely food and great service but a little loud and difficult to hear people across the table
The service was really good and our waitrose and others were really helpful - knowing hteir stuff. However when I asked for an alternative to the vegetable on my main plate they couldn't do that - lack of flexibility and two of the items on the menu that we wanted were no longer available.
We have been a long time fan of Ottolenghi recipe books and have cooked a large number of the recipes in these books. With high expectations we made the booking as visitors from Australia. However we were greatly disappointed with most of the dishes we ended up selecting. The mains were particularly poor. The halibut was slightly on the "fishy" side, indicative of not being all that fresh! The twice cooked chicken was very dry and some parts chewy, again indicative of either not being fresh or well over-cooked (perhaps more than twice cooked). The starters were better but only just. The best of the 3 we had was the Cumbrian pork belly. The meat was soft and delicate and the cracking the way good crackling should be. Regrettably we will not be recommending this restaurant to our friends in London or elsewhere, but we will be continuing to cook from the Ottolenghi recipe books because we think the recipes are very good.
Amazing meal. Sometimes day-dream about the mutton we had there.
We were disappointed with the food and drinks. The flavors were off. The halibut entree was fishy (not fresh), the polenta fries had an off-putting flavor (truffle oil tasted plasticy), and the nibbles set out for gluten free diners were crudités that had no flavor. The drinks per sub par (the mezcal drink was very bitter, and I love mezcal!) The best part was our server, who was outstanding.
Creative delicious cuisine. Service was excellent. Pricy but well worth it.
Noisy, the music was so loud. Lights too low, we couldn.t read the menu properly.
The food was tasty but the portions were really small and served careless (i.e. chicken with two sauces at the same plate while chicken sauce dirted the sauces' litle bowls). We didn't like the taste of the wines and the waitress looked to as with a bizarre face when we said it (like we do not understand about wines). The service and food were so unpleasant that we decided not to order desserts.
Absolutely and unexpectly dissapointing. We have been at Ottolenghi before and we really love the food but NOPI doesn.t worth the extra prices.
Phenomenal dinner! Creative, delicious and unique. Waited for a long time to get here and so glad we did. We even got to meet Ottolenghi as we were walking out!
I really enjoyed my visit at NOPI. Every dish was a surprise for me. In a pleasant way.
Food was delicious and the small plates were good size portions
The service was a little slow and the room very noisy when full - all those hard surfaces
Possibly a bit expensive but really exceptional food
The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and attentive. I love this restaurant.
I am yet to visit Nopi for lunch or dinner. However, the breakfast is just great. The dishes are fresh and flavour combinations work fantastically. They’re also well portioned and reasonably priced.
