North End American Grill
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Great prices. Can't wait to go back!
The server was awesome and our oysters came out immediately each time we ordered them. He even noticed the dipping sauce wasn’t what my mom wanted so he brought regular ketchup over. Awesome food and service!
Even though they were super busy and probably understaffed, the food was great and the service was prompt and friendly.
Dinner with friends
highly recommended! nice atmosphere, food and service great!
Wow! 1st time up to the Olde New Jersey Avenue district. Terrific vibe! Not surprised that North End delivered as we’d enjoyed Marie Nicole’s at Diamond Beach, a former effort by the owners.
North End has an easygoing atmosphere, terrific quality, great service!
The food was inconsistent. 2 of our entrees were delicious and 2 of them were just ok. The outdoor seating was good and there was a live singer when we went, that was enjoyable.
The variety of entrees was poor 4?!…and one of those was unavailable, making the variety of entrées three! The food we did get was very good quality but the variety was not acceptable.. the service and drinks were excellent
The food was very good. Our waitress, Victoria, was very attentive & was able to accommodate specific preferences for dishes. They were busy when we got there, so the noise level was a little high & it took a while to get our entrees. The food was hot when we got it, so the delay was clearly on the kitchen end. Also, once things died down, the noise level was a lot better. All in all a good experience.
Drinks barely had alcohol in them. Had to send mojito back. Food was mediocre at best. Took forever to get someone to take our order. Disappointing.
Food was ok. Wanted the salmon which I believe was listed on this menu, not available. 2nd choice was crab cakes, no crab cakes. Went with option #3, fish tacos. Took an extremely long time to get our food. Asked for plain mayo on chicken club, came without any. Took at least 10 minutes to get the mayo after finally finding our server to ask for it. Lemonade had zero flavor. Been there, done that. Won't be on my list to return.
Menu was disappointing and food was so so. I recommend a menu upgrade.
Friendly, quick service. Live music on the outside patio. Food was good.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. The roast beef sandwich was very good. Will be going back again
Great food, great waiter and the jazz duet was fantastic!
The food, as always, was very good. We waited 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation. The kitchen was slow and service was lacking. The tables around use turned over twice before we got our dinner. Over 2 hours for a dinner of sandwiches and apps.
Cold memorial weekend so the clam chowder was a fabulous selection to warm my cold bones. It was so tasty but there could have been more “substance”.
I got the Caesar which was the small and was a perfect filling size. They told me the dressing was homemade. I might debate that. Nicely shaved Parmesan and boxed croutons.
My husband had the caprese pizza/flatbread. Ask for it well done.
No coffee. No tea! What??
Lastly-you may want to make sure the menu prices match your bill.
Our waitress was fabulous. So nice and accommodating. We have to give grace to these restaurant as many are working w half staff and doing the best they can.
Give it a try.
My favorite restaurant on the island!! Always the best service along with great food!!
Totally fun and entertaining for a beach meal!
Delicious simple food
Wonderful wait staff
I’m giving it one star because it wasn’t even open. They are on OpenTable and never took themselves off. Maybe they’re closed because of Covid or because they are seasonal but they should not be on OpenTable. Showed up in the frigid cold just to walk up to a door bolted up on a Friday night at 7pm Take yourself off of OpenTable please.
We never got to try anything they were closed, it would have been nice to know they weren’t going to be open the date that was selected we will not select that place again nothing is more frustrating than making reservation and the place is not open.
Friendly staff. Food and drinks were good!
We have never had a bad meal at North End, that is until last Friday. We were very disappointed in the roast beef sandwich. We were expecting home made roast beef but it was a processed lunch meat. We didn’t care for it.
Menu has fewer items than desired. Last time I was at north end they had a good selection.
horrible dinner <extremly over priced drinks that were tiny amounts, never again
We had a decent meal. Beer selection was weak. Mostly lights and lagers with one or two IPA's. Not interesting. Crab Cake BLT was excellent. Seafood Caesar was was a good portion but the dressing was bland and there were no peppers or pickles to pick it up and nothing with crunch. Horseradish, croutons and lemon wedges would have helped. Outdoor dining was nice except for competing music from other venues and motorcycle noise.
Food was terrible. Oysters smelled really bad I didn’t even eat them. Ordered a burger medium done came to table extra well done and dry. Just told them I’m leaving.
First time they’re enjoyed sitting outside and people watching food was decent service was great
Place was cute and Street was closed for outdoor dining. The day we went they were only offering bbq, nothing off their regular menu.
Both my husband and I were served cold food, which is strange because if they were grilling fresh food should have been steaming hot since we were 5 tables from the outdoor kitchen. Also no kids menu so my daughter got Mac and cheese side and that was never brought to us. Server was nice and we never voiced our concerns which maybe we should have. So we walked across the street and got pizza.
The food is low grade and not worth your money. Mahi fish tacos are not fresh and frozen fish sticks. The crab cake is dry and under seasoned. The roast beef sandwich comes with mayo that claims to be horseradish sauce. You can go to Russo's down the street and get more fresh roast beef.
We decided to try this place because we saw an ad on the beach for $1 oysters during happy hour. Unfortunately they were out of oysters when we got there but we ordered other items off the happy hour menu and regular menu. I ordered the turkey burger which was delicious and made up for missing the oysters. Overall, great experience and great service.
Unfortunately the menu on line did not match the very limited menu we received, it was much more casual than we expected. The entree I received was missing cole slaw,
which was on the menu,, the waiter made no attempt to apologize or notify the manager that we were unhappy.
Won't go again
A dollar Oyster? What?? No way!!!
Ordered a dozen with happy hour drinks and fries with buffalo sauce and blue cheese? Say no moreee!!
Completely satisfied and pleasured.
ILL BE BACK AGAIN!!!! Today.
Nothing listed on their online menu was available. The site made it look relaxing but the crowds were chaotic and good ambience was not existent.
I was upset as I was looking for good food and all they had was fried bar foods. Not at all what was advertised. We ended up leaving and it was very difficult to find a new place on a Saturday after 7p
Coconut shrimp was delicious burger borderline mediocre
Very good food. You need to clear the tables quicker because the seagulls “attack” the table creating chaos in the neighboring tables.
I was expecting a little better menu it was just wrapS and sandwiches better for lunch
The outside dining (due to COVID) was less than ideal. The music from all outside restaurants in the area combined so that you could not actually hear any one musician but heard them all together. The food was ok, not great and the menu was not as indicated on the website. The service was good. All drinks (even martinis) are served in disposable cups, not ideal. I would avoid at least until it opens for inside dining.
The venue was set up nicely for the distancing and being outside. The service was very good. The BBQ ribs and wings were very good. The clam bake was not good. A lot of the clams shells were empty and very small clams. The crab legs, corn and shrimp were over cooked and soggy. The sausage was good. The drinks were expensive and served in small plastic cups.
