The waiter was excellent. He quickly realized we did not want to eat and run, but enjoy drinks before dinner, and chat. Food came out promoptly. Food was good. We were surprised by the nachos. Not like any we had seen before. Interesting, but probably won't order again. The flatbreads were wonderful. The staff is friendly and seem to work as a team, helping each other when needed. The break served before the meal is GREAT.
Server was extra patient with our big party. We had a great time!
We have had some good meals here at NYAJs but also have been disappointed.
We've dined at Not Your Average Joe's several times and enjoy the food very much. Love the bread and olive oil mix they bring to the table right away. We are always escorted to a table that is in an area behind a type of barrier. I don't like to sit back there so will ask to sit in the main area next time. I like to watch the games on the big screens and you cannot see them from that back area. Otherwise, perfect dining experience.
Great food and superior service (thanks Missy). We invited some old friends we had not seen in a long time and enjoyed a leisurely 2.5 hour lunch. Salads were very popular and very good. A great time was had by all.
Oktoberfest foods to try out!!
Just came in got happy hour. It's always a pleasure. This was the first time to try the gluten free chicken quesadilla, it was DELICIOUS!
The food was good and the noise level did not impede conversation. However it was not too crowded so it might be a problem on a Friday or Saturday evening
Our server was very professional and helpful. Excellent service by the young lad. The date was made special with a free dessert as well. Thank you very much for a wonderful time.
The quality and variety of the food was far better than we expected. But don't waste your time on the Bloody Mary (worst I have ever had!) Bloody Mary had no flavor except the pile of pepper at the bottom, although the presentation was beautiful. The Bagel Everything Flatbread, deviled eggs and Huervous Rancheros was delicious! We will be back.
Anthony Gall was an excellent server! Very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to the details!!
NYAJ's is a local favorite and we dine there almost every week. The food, the staff and the ambiance are all excellent. Of course we have our favorite servers who treat us like family but on this occasion none of them were working but now we have a new server to add to our small list of favorites--John--he took exceptional care of us.
It was just fine. We all felt the quality of the food was mediocre. I had to send back my burger over temp and then felt I had to debate manager over the Rare vs Med Rare.
We have been supporters of NYAJ's since opening...when we arrived, they had the last minutes of a buffet ongoing and only a small portion of the regular menu was available and the buffet had no gluten free options. That's fine, we adapted. However, when we ordered Bloody Marys, our glasses were served absent any lemon or lime wedge, celery, green olives et cetera, neither was the rim salted or Old Bay nor was it even offered...it was a glass of ice, vodka and a touch of mix. When asked about the lack of vegetables et cetra, I was told that's extra, an upcharge. So I ordered a second Bloody and received three small olives on a toothpick and a sliver of celery.
Yes, I am for Bloody's adorned with vegetables, but the airlines offers more than NYAJ's so called Bloody Mary. What has happened?
I'm sorry NYAJ's, I'm not asking for a Bloody Mary "meal", but come on... I forgot to look at my check and see how much the ice cost in my Bloody. Additionally, our friend ordered a Cobb salad and was offered hot grill chicken in lieu of cold chicken that normally comes standard for the Cobb. She agreed and was looking forward to it but it arrived, a cold Cobb salad. She was disappointed but too hungry to send it back. The waiter was good, but our guess is that the NYAJ's was understaffed. There was more people breaking down the buffet, than taking care of tables. Try again and try better NYAJ's, there's no need for an upcharge for a standard Bloody Mary. Even the discount airlines beat you!
Yummy food and waitress was very helpful with good food recommendations!
This was my first time eating at Not Your Average Joe’s so I didn’t know what to expect. I was blown away. I loved the low calorie options!
We will definitely dine here again.
Excellent food. Timing of food could have been better. Salads came out after a long while, then entrees came out while we were still eating salad.
Service was slow.
I went there for their first all you can eat Sunday Brunch.
The items were varied and very tasty. I particularly liked the Eggs Benedict (eggs cooked to perfection, although the hollandaise was so so) and the jambalaya. Fresh fruit at the end really topped it off. They also give you one drink...Mimosa or Bloody Mary (they may have been one more option). I chose the Bloody Mary, which was good, but would have been better if it had less horseradish. All in all a solid start.
Great allergen menu and gluten free selections. Items were clearly marked, with a few surprises that I couldn’t have, like the marinated steak bites.
Delicious! But it was truly the service that will have me coming back. Very good!
We were very disappointed with this visit. The manager told our waiter we could not have the dipping oil without the red pepper flakes. That seems like a strange policy and not one we’ve experienced before. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive either and our drinks were never refilled.
Great service and excellent food!
Excellent service and good food.
Hostess was horrible...Appeared to be totally disinterested in what she was doing. Our. Server,Ron, made up for it, though! He was Iurstanding! Professional, friendly, courteous. Did a fabulous job!
Great service and good food!
Great wait staff as they are able to understand my dairy allergies & make sure my food is safe. Also, make suggestions to what else I could have with minor adjustments. Lots of double checking of my/our food. We use 2 staff members, John & Jazmine on a regular basis. Both are fabulous. Management does a great job checking on patrons & staff. Our resturant of choice!🤩
Great service and unique menu compared to other chains
My wife and I went with our son, his wife and their toddler on our granddaughter’s for birthday. We we seated immediately, received excellent service and delicious food. It was noisy enough that occasional outbursts from our little one didn’t seem to bother other diners. We’ve been there many times before and will definitely return.
Great time dining
Another great lunch at NYAJ’s!
Wonderful food, terrific service and nice ambiance—a favorite spot!
Great food and service...as usual!! One of our go to places for family events.
I went to the restaurant for Restaurant Week. The Maine ‘d was great. The server seemed to be new but did keep us informed on status. The food was pretty good until I got to desert (sherbet). The decorative fruit was molded.
Our group of girlfriends ate lunch here after an early movie. Three of us participated in the Washington Restaurant Week menu for the $22 3-course lunch. The others had items from the regular menu. I was tempted to do the three-wine sample flight they offered but decided to resist since I was driving. My meal was fried chicken and there was plenty of it! Four generous pieces of crispy fried chicken with french fries and a side of spinach. I passed on the corn on the cob. Several others who had the chicken thought it was too salty. I thought it had one unidentified spice that I could have done without. But I generally enjoyed my meal and considered it a bargain since I'm getting two meals out of it. Our server, John, was very helpful and a very attentive server. Yes I would recommend this place to a friend.
For a Wednesday night when they weren't extremely busy, service from the kitchen was VERY slow. The server apologized, said new kitchen help was slow, kept checking on us but to be honest if we didn't have a $15 off birthday coupon I would have looked for a comp'd dessert or SOMETHING. Food was exceptional as always but skip the Peach praline dessert, too many other fantastic choices.
Took some visiting out of town friends to NYAJ’s because it is our favorite local restaurant. As usual, great food and great service.
Waitress took forever to take our drink orders, never came with bread at the outset of the meal. Our appetizer came with our entree, and it was not even the correct item we had ordered. The food on our most recent trip was barely mediocre (avoid the fried chicken from their summer menu, it was poorly seasoned, bland, and came unceremoniously dumped on a pile of fries in a paper bucket with no sauce, garnish, etc.). The waitress for the next table over tried to pick up the slack left by our waitress, but this seemed to cause more confusion. There are better places to eat in Stonebridge.
Server,Service, Food, Ambiance was Excellent !!!!
I have been coming here for years and have accepted that it is beve
Our server was the BEST especially with his suggestions and making our order perfect
