Italian
Italian Restaurant The Italian Restaurant has a modern but elegant feel, complete with an imposing wood-fired oven, suede wall panelling, handmade Moroccan tiles, mirrors in solid oak frames and chandeliers with candles. Complex, state-of-the-art lighting systems can change the atmosphere from sunrise to sunset, from season to season. It offers regional Italian fare with a contemporary twist. Created by Marco Torri, the menu comprises a superb assortment of antipasti, Tartare di Salmone o Tonno and Carpaccio di Manzo among them, followed by a selection of homemade pasta. Fish dishes are of the calibre of Branzino Arrosto con Caponata (Roasted Wild Sea Bass Fillet served with Sweet & Sour Sicilian Vegetables), whilst meat includes Piccione al Forno con Cavolo Nero (Oven-roasted Pigeon with Sautéed Cavolo Nero).

Fine dining! lovely delicious food in a light and airy setting. I was very impressed with the service every waiter that served us kept the same standard and treated us well.

Quite pricey but the food, service and atmosphere was worth it.

this has been my favorite restaurant for years and I have never been treated the way I was treated on Saturday. I don't know if its current restriction has made the server under pressure however, the service was quite unsettling.

Had the fixed lunch with two friends. We were impressed by ambience and the service. The wine recommendation was particularly good.

The greek sald starters were mixed. One had ripe tomatoes as expected the other had watery and tasteless tomatoes.

The roast chicken and potatoes were good but the chicken was not corn fed or organic. You would expect similar quality in many London restaurants.

The pasta dish was as expected but nothing special.

Overall the food was nothing special but the ambience good but not spectacular. The restaurant is good for large groups. We intend to try the Asian restaurant.

I took my best friend for her 24th birthday and it was amazing! The waiters and other service staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and I had a great time. It was just a shame that the curfew is 10pm but obviously that can’t be helped. Considering the circumstances it was a great night out.

I had previously only ever been here for drinks, my friend and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner for our regular mums night out. This was the only restaurant that had availability in Mayfair and we booked early so we could go to the bar downstairs for cocktails. We asked upon entry to reserve a table and were told ‘maybe it will be possible’-not impressive.

We ordered a glass each of Prosecco and in most up class restaurants I’ve been to they give you time to enjoy your aperitif before dinner but not here. I ordered the sea bass carpaccio which came within 5 minutes of ordering, making it clear they just wanted to rush us out and that it wasn’t freshly prepared. It was tasteless and completely congealed in a thick layer, so god knows how long it had been sitting in the fridge and I was expecting for £19.50 for a starter that it would be fresh.
My friend had a ‘seasonal salad’ to start which again for £18 I was shocked that it was just very basic salad leaves, not even organic salad and overcooked butternut squash.

The wine I wanted had sold out but they did however have the bottle that was £15 more expensive. I wasn’t impressed and a £60 bottle of red was totally basic and lacking quality.

I asked about the Porchetta on the menu and the waiter didn’t have much to say other than recommending I go for the much more expensive option of Sucking Pig slow cooked in wood oven at £59. As a food lover I don’t mind paying for good food, this was not good. The cracking on the top of the joint was soggy and slimy not crispy and 3/4 of the joint was slimy fat, the meat on the inside was dry. It said that it came with cooked Apple, which was one slice of dried apple ring.

My friends lamb chops were ok, for £45 I was expecting a much better quality of lamb and again the chops did not taste freshly cooked.

After spending over £300 on dinner we asked to go downstairs to the bar but were abruptly told no. When we asked to speak to the manager he was unbelievably

We had a reservation for 8pm. When we arrived we waited outside for 10 minutes. Then when we went inside we were not sure what to do and there was a line for what we thought was to be seated but after some time we discovered we had to cut the line to give our name and then wait. We didn’t get seated until 9pm, a full hour after we arrived and then had to leave at 10pm. The food was overall fine but for the price we are paying, waiting an hour when we had a reservation is not acceptable. We understand that because of corona certain precautions must happen (and we did appreciate the hostess enforcing everyone to wear masks) but the system for seating people needs to be improved. At a certain point we were going to leave because we didn’t want to rush through our meal.

With what is going on with Covid 19, all I can say is that you make a booking and now you secure with a credit card.
If you dont turn up with this restaurant you will be charged £50 per person for not turning up, £100 per couple!
We sat down at 6.00pm and all you are allowed is 1 hour 30 minutes for dinner.
The ambience of the Restaurant was great with the music playing.
We where given a table by the wall, which I still don't understand as they where not full, so I did ask to be moved, which they did, into the centre of the Restaurant.
The service was pretty slow, a bottle of water was quick, but the wine taking 40 minutes to come to the table, Starters were great, nice and hot, portion sizes of the main dishes was poor and warm with items missing.
We ran out of drinks on the table and wasnt even asked if we wanted any more!
Finally we ran out of time and left at 7.25pm with no Desert or coffee!
Our Bill was £169.00 for this experince.

Awful experience for a restaurant with a good reputation.
Badly managed. Even with reservations it was chaos at the front door.
The blind leading the blind.
And to top it off once we was eventually sat down we waited 20 plus minutes to order food and that’s because we asked.
Decided to leave at that point as it was so overrated so can’t comment on the food

I feel as though they are managing ver well with current circumstances and would have loved to order some desert but the time restrictions made me feel I had to hurry to eat and leave.
