Very good balance between good food, cosy but hip venue and interior, with nice interactions with staff. The small extra attention for my birthday was also very nice!
Definately would go there again and recommend to my friends!
We had a perfect evening - our first visit to Glasgow and what a superb introduction into the wonderful food and hospitality on offer.
Lovely meal, and excellent Gluten free options. Would definitely eat there again.
As always, never fails. Great food served by great people.
Our second visit to number 16, after a superb meal the last time and the questions was "Could they keep it up?". The answer - a very positive yes. There are a number of good restaurants in Glasgow but, in our experience, consistency is always an issue. It begins to look to us as if number 16 has cracked this and would in our book make it not only one of the best restaurants here but also one of the most reliable. We will be back!
Went to N16 for my 40th. Lovely little restaurant, friendly & knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere and lovely food. Will definitely be going here again.
Nice, helpful waitress. Very nice food and choice on set menu. Glad I finally got around to going.
What a fantastic experience. Food and service was excellent. Will definitely return and also recommend to others. Thank you to the team for a great lunch !!
Came here for our anniversary. Great food, friendly service, and a good selection of whiskies too.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the excellent service. The food was outstanding good. We eachad different dishes and all agreed that every single morsel we delicious. I had the beef which was perfectly rare and had really been looking forward to the Roscoff onion and Hen of the woods mushrooms. They were superb and certainly enhanced the dish. The Mullet and Lamb mains were equally well received.
We'd a lovely 35th anniversary lunch here. Service & food both first class - as always, you get what you pay for in this world. Except the 2 free glasses of prosecco which were a nice surprise!
Will definitely go again.
Small restaurant, food was excellent, the table service was a perfect balance of efficient, friendly and not intrusive. Highly recommend .
Superb food and service we would definitely recommend.
Really lovely! Booked here for a post graduation treat and everyone really enjoyed their food. There were enough vegetarian options for those who wanted them and a lot of care had gone into each dish. I particularly enjoyed the beef.
No. 16 is a reliable favourite, always a crowd pleaser. Everyone I bring here leaves raving!
Service was great from a very smiley and genuine waitress. She served every table on her own with food and drink and nice to every person - Credit to your establishment! Food was excellent too, keep up the good work guys!
Excellent food from a small but very adequate menu. Service was efficient and funny at the same time.
Had a great meal here. Great ambience and friendly service.
Excellent food, service & value for money as always. Only downside is slightly cramped space. Will return soon😊
Some nice elements to our dishes, but inconsistent - over/under-cooking a problem.
Restaurant was full, maybe too full.
Very pleasant wait staff.
Absolutely amazing food and service. I’ve been here a few times and still one of my favourite restaurants. Well done
Pigeon was under-seasoned, and/or underwhelming.
Service could have been better.
Awful, overpriced beer selection
Weird disgusting marshmallow to finish
Beef, carrots and fried potato sides all perfect.
Cramped, uncomfortable seating
We went for my dad’s birthday. The staff and food were amazing. Will definitely be back!
Lovely small intimate restaurant with really contemporary Scottish food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our meals but have to say that the lamb main course was outstanding. Would not hesitate to recommend this little gem!
Excellent yet again!
Number Sixteen is absolutely amazing! The service was impeccable, the staff were helpful and kind, the atmosphere is charming and comfortable and the food is outstanding! I am so happy that I made the smart decision to take my friends here for their wedding gift and a wonderful evening in the West End. The food was out of this world - the best cured Scottish salmon of my life! Truly a treasure, thank you so much! I will be back the next time I’m in Glasgow.
We chose to eat at Number 16 for a birthday celebration because we liked the choice on the set lunch menu and thought the price point was just right. This is a charming little restaurant with just a few tables which gives it a relaxed atmosphere. We were welcomed by an absolutely lovely young woman who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We all loved everything we chose, the particular favourites being the leek and spinach soup, the perfectly cooked hake and the passion fruit and coconut torte. The kitchen team did a great job!
Fantastic service, lovely food. Will definitely be back
Excellent from beginning to end, service and food. Couldnt fault anything.
Great little place amazing food. Great attention to dietary requirements. My partner an I have a mixed bag of allergies and the chef just modified the dishes slightly to suit.
Had a lovely evening in No 16. Friendly service and great food. A wee hidden gem. Made our celebrations more special.
Excellent small restaurant for those who love their food. We will be back!
Delicious food, great service. Don’t skip dessert!
This is an amazing restaurant, the food has always been good, never failed. The service is always amazing and very friendly staff. This is my wife's favorite restaurant and will certainly be returning.
Great restaurant. Interesting menu, great food, delicious wine and outstandingly helpful and lovely staff.
Amazing atmosphere and the best food we’ve ever had at a restaurant
First visit and won’t be our last ... marvellous food, prepared and served perfectly, with a decent enough choice! Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and made our party feel great! Only slight niggle is the size of the tiny bathroom. Our bigger rugby guy had difficulty turning around! Would definitely recommend and will be back soon.
Love this restaurant and food, service and ambience are always fab.
Excellent choices of food, with considered wine choices.
Dessert was excellent with tasting of lots of small samples.
Overall excellent highly recomented
Chose this place after reading about it in the good food guide and it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous food and great service from friendly staff in this pretty neighbourhood restaurant that I would highly recommend. The food was interesting and very tasty and the friendliness of both our waitress and the owner who I spoke to as we left reminded me why I love independent restaurants and why they are far superior to chain places. Give this place a try and I think you will love it too. I know I will be heading back next time I visit Glasgow. Top tip - make sure to leave room for the homemade chocolate at the end of the meal - order them regardless of if you are having a coffee or tea!
