   I've liked this restaurant - in the past. On this occasion, after a decent first course, the fish main was a highly over-salted piece of cod. Normally, I'd have sent it back. But I had a guest to deal with and didn't make a fuss as I was also under time pressure to get away. When after typing her, and politely asking the chef be made aware, the waitress said she was sorry other it but the fish was smoked. Yes, well. I do know the difference between smoked and far too salty. Service was pleasant and obliging. I can't now recommend No. 16 - to my regret, as in the past it's been a really pleasant eating experience there.

   2 courses 20 3 courses 25 If you don’t fancy the menu you can have « a la carte » Everything was good, fresh and very well presented. The place is small but cosy like in a chalet. You can go and enjoy.

   We had such an incredible meal and experience at Number 16. The food was remarkable and the service was great. It’s such a hidden gem in the West End. I would highly recommend Number 16 to anyone looking to have a truly memorable dining experience in Glasgow.

    Excellent set lunch with reasonably priced house wines. My only quibble is that the cheese portion in the cheese course was minuscule!

    Number 16 is an old favourite and it was so lovely to visit after what felt like such a long time. The food was delicious as always, I had sweet potato soup to start and roast chicken to follow. Both were absolutely fab. I am just a bit gutted we didn't have enough time to stay for some dessert because they sounded divine! I would recommend this little gem to anyone.

    Quite a tight space and busy with diners coming and going so not a restful environment. Food good to great and decent wine list. Staff friendly but service a bit erratic.

    The lunchtime menu is great value and as its a selection of the the A la Carte menu it tastes great too. We had a super birthday lunch, thanks guys.

    This was a return visit as we had enjoyed it so much in February. Food was amazing, the menu had changed but the quality of produce so good. Service was great and the waitresses understanding of the menu was excellent. Definitely will be returning

    Wonderful lunch at Number 16. Set menu had great variety of choice and amazing value. Portion sizes were just perfect. Service was excellent and really nice, cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
