Good, could have been better but disappointed. Reasons; so busy that tables are 15cm apart and when full noise level becomes unpleasant, but so is the queuing at the door, it makes for cold drafts. And entrance is where the uncovered desert trolly is exposed to sneezing from those waiting ( yes , really witnessed). I wasn’t expecting a cover charge from dip and bread already on the table when seated. And I have now discovered the Menu online has pricing that is out of date. Food was good and the place will continue to thrive but could be even better.
Always love it here. Such nice waiters and great food
Very nice and authentic restaurant with lovely food.
A lovely Italian on Nortcote Road. White tablecloths make it a little more special than some of the other restaurants nearby. Food all very homemade including pasta. Old school dessert trolley too.
Nice, expensive for average food but very noisy.
A great neighbourhood restaurant that is always excellent
Really lovely restaurant with excellent service, and received complimentary limoncello at the end - ticks all the boxes !
Food was lovely, but the table next to the toilet is not the best place to have a nice meal.
Just love it there. Food amazing, service great and really fab atmosphere.
Great family style no nonsense Italian Restaurant. Great spot for a Sunday lunch or a get together with friends
Excellent food as always. Our favourite local Italian.
Great all round - lobster linguine is absolutely delicious
Overall the food was excellent I strongly recommend the mushroom ravioli, the staff was attentive meeting all our needs including the little ones. the House red very palatable well worth a try
Our second time back and another great meal. Service is excellent , if a bit dramatic, and the food is solid and tasty!
A favourite of local residents, but perhaps a little less friendly / inconsistent to those who aren't regulars. For example, one of our party is coeliac and she asked the manager whether they have an allergens menu. He simply replied 'no' and walked away. Our table waiter, however was exceptionally good and gave us great service he was easily able to point out which menu items were suitable to our coeliac guest. We booked this for a special family occasion having read the good reviews. It does have the feel of a 'special' place - white table cloths, a sense of formality. Despite the embarrassment we all felt over the manager's treatment of our coeliac guest, we had a nice evening.
Perfect as always!
Great food , and wine . Service was a little off tonight to be honest I had to pour my own water and wine !
Probably the best Italian in town. Great food and atmosphere.
This used to be my go-to Italian in Battersea. Alas things seem to have changed.
We were very surprised on a Bank Holiday Saturday for lunch when the place was almost empty. It used to be difficult to get a booking especially if you booked late.
We got a table outside in the sun - which was great.
However, the prices have gone up, the quality is the same if not as good, and the service only so-so.
The Tiramisu was still a winner - the rest was only ok.
I don’t know what has changed but obviously it’s not for the better which is a shame.
My fiancé and I have been here twice in 3 weeks. It’s our new favorite Italian. Amazing service, fresh food, and great atmosphere.
My favourite Italian in town! Great food and amazing friendly service as usual! Authentic Italian
Lovely dessert trolley and extensive food menu. Good wine.
Attentive, knowledgeable waiting staff, scrumptious food and delicious wine. Perfect!
The atmosphere was fantastic and the food out of this world! Our new favourite place for date night!
Great traditional italian family venue for our family get together. Food was great along with the staff who couldn’t be more helpful. Would defo return next time we are visiting the yougsters in London - great place, great value.
Service, food and ambience were really great. The prawn starter and Charceturie both excellent and of five of us, one pasta m,Aib (rage is lovely), two Milanese veal and two veal with mushroom all very very good.
Truffle ravioli is as good as it gets. And a lovely selection of wines.
Never disappointed with the quality of "home cooked" food & vino (& service with a smile) on offer at one of my favourite restaurants, one is left with ample time to choose, order and enjoy the fantastic ambience that Numero Uno offers. We celebrated the eve the Eve of our father's 90th birthday and could not have asked for a more hospitable experience. Chris B
Birthday dinner with the family - wonderful food & atmosphere. Always a special meal here.
Great food and service. We were late and they still kept the table for us with no fuss. A real Italian charming restaurant.
Went at 6.45 and it was quiet and pleasant. Waiters were very efficient, food came fast and all the pasta dishes were delicious with plenty of seafood. The portions could have been a bit bigger perhaps. Simple starter of antipasti had good quality ingredients. It started to get busy halfway through the meal, so we were glad to come early. Overall a very solid restaurant that deserves all the attention it gets in this neighborhood.
Very good service from the beginning. The waiters were helpful and polite and also had some humour. Food tasted very good.
A fantastic family meal. Great service. Highly recommend!
Fantastic family run restaurant with delicious menu in a vibrant area of Clapham. I went for a catch up with old friends and we got a corner round table which was great for chat. Food was declared excellent by all. One friend is a regular as she lives nearby, so that says it all.
Very much enjoyed Sunday lunch here. Busy but very good service and delicious food.
Numero Uno has hardly changed in the 25 years I have been going and the food and service are as good as ever. You won't find better unfussy Italian food outside of Italy.
Great dinner, great service, great pasta, good portions and not too pricey 👍🏼
Very nice, welcoming atmosphere. Great food! Veil was deliciuos
We stumbled across Numero Uno a few summers ago. Have been back many times since and are always happy with the food and the service. This occasion was our New Years Eve dinner. The vibe was great without being overwhelming- as is the case whenever we go. We had the tuna carpaccio as a starter which was really lovely and fresh. And My Lobster Linguine was divine. Always love the dessert cart with the fruit tart at the end as well. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves an authentic Italian experience.
Good food as always but service was a little patchy. 5 of put into a slightly cramped corner which was a shame as restaurant not full
