Excellent local Italian with very good food and great service
Great food great service attentive staff great menu highly recommended already recommended to clients & friends & family.
Great restaurant for our reunion of schoolfriends at lunchtime. Good fixed-price menu
Best local Italian in the area. When you get to know the staff you want to come back. Fresh white truffles were the order of the day; pasta, butter and truffle.
Really attentive service, great wine list and fresh authentic Italian food. We had a great time. My only commenters I’d like a few more gluten free options for pasta and bread. But that’s not a criticism at all.
Very lively and vibrant local restaurant. Good, solid Italian trattoria food. A lovely end of week treat
Great food and service, yes a bit pricey but worth it
Great food and atmosphere
Great value for money
Loved this place - was recommended by a friend and a bit nervous to take an Italian friend but we all LOVED it. Really great atmosphere, brilliant staff and such good food. Try the truffle pasta - it's amazing. Great desserts too served from authentic trolley.
Lovely little spot at the quieter end of Northcote Road. Food was exceptional - I was thinking about the truffle pasta for about two days after eating there! Would highly recommend for a long catch up dinner over a bottle of wine or a group meal. Friendly, family style, gem of a restaurant
Service very disinterested and patchy. Waiter ran off before we had finished our order. Starters plentiful but charcuterie arrived with no olive oil offered and it was a little dry. Scallops for main course very overcooked and doused in far too much balsamic vinegar, pasta with Italian sausage broccoli and chilli had no chilli not much broccoli and lacked flavour. They brought chilli when requested but no apology. The truffle pasta was very good and the chicken was good too but not enough to make us want to go back.
A lovely local restaurant with good food and nice ambience. Only complaint is the cost of of the starters which are £9.50 plus, going up to £16 which to my mind is way over the top for an appetizer. However, the portions are generous, so we shared two starters between four of us which was just about enough. We had to ask twice for oil and vinegar for the bread and were only given a very small amount which seemed a little mean.
Very enjoyable and staff were patient with our requests.
We weren't disappointed with our spontaneous Thursday night booking for a Friday night. Service was attentive and had a personal touch. The restaurant had a real Italian feel with a free tiramisu to share and limoncello shot at the end - a real crowd-pleaser!
Great little gem...is our new fav local place which we can walk too.
As ever great fun, although on this occasion they did not have my choice of starter or main course. That said, they asked me what else I would like and made it especially. That's 5 star!
Always friendly and great quality simple food.
Great food and service! Nice ambience. Will be back!
Numero Uno has a welcoming continental atmosphere. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The menu was varied and the food tasty. We enjoyed our first visit and will go again.
Old school charm, family-run feel, lovely service and comforting food - had a wonderful evening catching up with an old friend marked by slow drinking and tasty food / drinks.
Delicious food at a fair price but it is obviously very popular and the restaurant has tried to capitalise on this by having far too many tables in there. I would say it tries to squeeze in 30% more covers than an average restaurant of its size (which is a credit to the kitchen and the waiting staff as these elements weren’t compromised) but it does leave you feeling hemmed in, squashed and shouting to be heard.
Food is divine! Fantastic family venue. Friendly efficient service.
Very pleased as always with Numero Uno, we came back here for our 3 year anniversary and was not disappointed. We had the anti pasti, followed by a seafood linguine and cheesecake, such a lovely atmosphere good prices, we each had a drink and a coffee and the whole bill came to £89! Did not feel rushed or pestered at all.
Our neighbourhood favourite although scallops a little chewy on this occasion. Quite quiet for a Saturday which was welcome as noise levels can be a little overpowering.
A superb local restaurant with great food and friendly staff
Friendly family restaurant which serves huge portions. 1 starter served 2 people. Nice and relaxed atmosphere - one did not feel rushed and the service was very efficient.
A very lively experience and good Italian trattoria food. Fun all round. But it is a bit pricey.
Lovely meal at Numero Uno open on a sunday
Night. Good italian food and very nice service
Food is nice but service is very slow. 2 hours for a pasta dish is not right
It was a wedding anniversary dinner and there was no recognition of this special occasion even thought we had advised this when asked when we booked - so why ask! We were put on a table in the middle of every one by the coats so a) trying to have a conversation was impossible and b) we kept be knocked by staff or other customers. Overall it felt like we were being processed and the sooner we eat and leave the better. Not even asked "would you like coffee". Simply here is some Limon Cello and the bill while hovering with the card machine. We arrived at 7.15 and were out by 8.30 charming.
Very good & charming place to go. Take you back to the 80’s
Could do with a upmarket wine by the glass as a 2nd option
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant with exceptional service and very good value for money.
We were Jamed into a corner table for 2. Next to a table for 5 which had 7 people at it. Net result we were unable to be served or leave without the other table moving. Not great for a £100+ meal for two. Food was ok. We won’t be back any time soon.
I booked the table for 2pm for a party of 8 for our xmas lunch - we arrived about 2.10pm (not overly late), and the first thing the waiter said to us was that the kitchen closes at 2.30 ! Why on earth were we not told this at the time of the booking. From there on in everything appeared rushed and a huge damp cloth was placed over our lunch - although the food was good and the service fine, I am afraid the damage had already been down and our festive bubble had already been popped!
Our table was not ready upon arrival and was located in a very cramped area of the restaurant. The staff, however, were very friendly, if not a little slow in their service.
The menu is far too excessive
Amazing food. Helpful staff though service a little slow.
Wonderful food, ambience and service as always. One of my favourite restaurants in London. Thank you all
Very traditional place that clearly hasn't changed for years.. feels pretty outdated but food was ok, service friendly but there are much better options out there
A lively and friendly local restaurant. Delicious food. Super friendly and efficient staff. A most enjoyable evening.
