As always, a reliable option for lunch. Tables are a little to close to have conversations without feeling overhead but good value and worth a visit
£30 for one pizza and one glass of prosecco was excessive even for Canary Wharf. The pizza was tasty but toppings were not overly generous.
Great food, especially the mozzarella, and wonderful fresh salad and vegetables. I was pleased I was warned that the tuna in the salad came from a tin. What a surprise in a restaurant where freshness and Italian quality food is so important! Overall though, a great lunch.
Mixed starter plate was fantastic. Nice atmosphere.
While it sits in this middle passway of commuters - it’s a great spot. Views of Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs. Good food for the money. Friendly staff. Will eat there again.
this time the service was a little slow, but the food was as good as ever (that's why we come back) and I really like the wine selection.
Great food but it is a bit chilly (need to wrap up).
Lasanha is delicious
It’s fine. I do have to compliment the service. They were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming, especially as I arrived near closing. The pizza was as expected. The wine overpriced. There are equally good places a short walk away that are less expensive, but this is not a bad choice.
Location is perfect and easy to find from Canary Wharf underground station.
Good for a business lunch, but its very busy at during lunch service as you expect.
The service was very "business like".
The food was a little basic for my liking
The food was fine, however, the service was terrible. They forgot items and offered no apology.
The service was a little sloppy but the food was delicious
For lunch the tables area little close together and it’s not easy to have a conversation. But it’s good value and possible to do a lunch in 45 mins
Food was great, and our waitress was superb and smiley - though when she was elsewhere difficult to get others' attention when needed and where we were located it was freezing which impacted on the enjoyment of the evening a little bit, that said excellent food and fab in the spring/summer months
Unfortunately they had no knowledge of the free glass of wine with a main course offer but luckily I had the confirmation email on my phone so they had to comply. My husband and I chose a simple pasta dish which was of poor quality -pasta was all rubbery as if been hanging around for some time and the topping was really minuscule. My nephew chose a pizza which was much better. The waitress was very friendly but very busy. Not a very good experience food wise.
Overall the service and the food was pleasant, however we asked for a topping of mushrooms on the pizza and when we got the bill we were charged £12 for the topping on a £11 pizza.
When we questioned this we were told Puccini mushrooms were a premium and that we had been charged the same price as a starter of these mushrooms - as a topping (the other topping we ordered was £2). We were never informed that the extra topping would be so extortionate when we ordered. If we knew we would simply have gone for a different topping. The manager was extremely rude when we questioned the bill at the end, and raised her voice towards us. This ruined what had been a nice evening celebrating my mother's birthday.
Great italian restaurant a little off the main C/W area, good food, quick service
Pre-cooked, reheated pasta?! Come on, that went out in the 80s! And such a miserly portion! What restaurant is proud to announce they "don't use onion or garlic" in their cooking (and no salt, apparently)? The only saving grace was the good quality mozzarella and courteous service.
Very good lunch - I gave the waitress a cash tip as I don't like 'Service Charges' going to Management!
Very good food and service
Lasagna portions are a little bit small when compared with the pasta con ragu dishes.
Fantastic italian food and great, swift service!!!
Besides the mozzarella which was good, the pizza was totally uninspiring: dry and with a very thin layer of tomato sauce.
Desserts were good.
This is my boss's favorite restaurant in Canary Wharf for casual business lunches. The food quality is consistently good (his go-to dish is the Tuna salad /Insalata Tonno) and the service quick and courteous.
The quality of food deteriorated significantly, we ordered three different pastas and they were not great at all . Service is good as usual, but food is not anymore.
Lovely pizza but the service was quite slow for a lunchtime. Slightly better in the evening. I will still come here as the food is good as is the wine menu
Great service and food, definitely reccomend.
The prices are more affordable for the location!
well looked after and great choice of special dishes
Lovely fresh salads - good choice of food . Wine a little pricey by the glass but a good selection. Prices possibly reflect the Canary Wharf location. Great service , nice buzz to place . Busy but service quick ,
Fast service, tasty food.
The food was good but not exceptional. Especially the starter could have been better prepared (Truffle Burrarta) as only one tiny slice of truffle and loads of oil don’t justify 4 GBP more compared to a normal Burrata. The Pizza was good.
The service was very stereotype close to unfriendly and the knives for the Pizza need to be sharpened.
Obicà is one of my go-to places in Canary Wharf but the poor attitude of the manager, David, really put me off today. Rude and obnoxious from the start. When I pointed out that one of the goods on our table was off, his response was “really” before he walked off. Highly disgusted and disappointed. Rest of the staff are terrific; perhaps they can teach their boss some manners and etiquette.
Four of us spent Friday evening at Obica Canary Wharf. We had a lovely pizza and some prosecco and all was well until the waitress didn't bring my change (after we'd been charged a ten pound tip). I had to ask her for it (out of principle as it wasn't much) and she made it very clear that she was unimpressed. Not a great last impression of what was a lovely evening up until that point.
First time here and really liked it . This was a lunch catching up with a friend but needed to be kept close to an hour as we both had to get back to work .
It was busy and we probably could have ordered a few minutes earlier if we had attracted anyone’s attention but other than that it was perfect for a hot summers day . Food wonderfully fresh and tasty. Salads a good size , quite filling .
Nice selection of food . Good selection of non alcoholic drinks as well as wine etc .
Nice venue to chat - despite being busy the noise of others didn’t intrude .
I thought the price was decent for a Canary Wharf location and will definitely return there next time I need a lunch location in the area .
Does the job without anything in particular to be impressed by
Would prefer options for Pizza base not just white bread which seemed a bit thick. Would also prefer a thin base like the traditional Italian ones. Location good but no views.
Great service & variety drinks & food to share within people. Reasonable price.
Lovely place for a quick lunch. Pasta was fresh and very tasty. Service just right. Would def go back
Attentive service without being intrusive. Good for business meetings
Nice food, great taste. Some pasta portions a bit small but otherwise had a great time.
