Gin and tonics served with different tonics no explanation. A full drink slid off the waitresses tray narrowly avoiding my partner. Starters average to grim. Main courses a bit better. House wine of average quality £25. Everything overpriced. After we had paid the bill we were told we had paid £22 too little. I had to go through all the money and credit card slips to prove that actually we had paid £5 too much (there were 8 of us). No apology was offered. This is on top of a 12.5% service charge which we were given no option whether we wanted to pay. I know this is central London but this is on the unacceptable end of pricey for what you get. I booked this for family and friends and felt embarrassed as it was such poor value.
Food was really good, excellent service from our waiter. A little expensive for an afternoon meal. Having said that I will be going back.
We booked on line at 10pm so we could eat after a show. When we checked on our way to the show if it was ok if we happened to be a few minutes late if the show ran on. The lady at front of house found our booking on her computer but told us rather rudely that they would be closed if we were after 10pm! So we arrived as quickly as we could (10.03pm!) and were sat down. We quickly got the feeling that they wanted us fed & out ASAP! The food came quickly and was tasty - but no sooner had we finished our last mouthful when they cleared the plates, glasses and took our candle away. After asking us if we wanted anything else (interrupting us several times!) they told us that that would bring the bill as they had to cash up by 11pm. So we had a discussion with them that this was quite rude and that most restaurants wait until the customer is ready for the bill - not the other way round!! And it wasn’t even 11pm yet. So we paid the bill but felt very unwelcome and will not be going back or recommending as we would not like anyone else to have the same experience!
Very cute restaurant with a modern/chic vibe. The mozzarella and focaccia bread were delicious as was the wine. Great for a charcuterie or cheese board/wine type of outing.
Friendly staff and good recommendations. Food delicious.
Lovely restaurant. The service was excellent, as was the food. Very interesting menu. The mozzarella bar must NOT be overlooked, it's delicious.
Lunch service was very slow which was a shame, but the food was great nonetheless.
I was recommended this place due to the amazing burrata and mozarella but main was very average and I believe they were understaff and it took ages to catch the attention of the staff.
My favourite Italian food in London. Best pizza I have ever had and it keeps me coming back for more. Good wine selection as well.
Fabulous as always, the mozzarella is out of this world, and the staff, just wonderful!
We enjoy it
This restaurant is a fantastic find. Quality food with lovely service. Third visit, will return.
Excellent service, very friendly and cheerful staff - gorgeous food!
Great food and lovely waiter.
Unclear information regarding the complimentary pizetta between 5pm & 8pm. This is only available if you sit at the bar!
Great evening at a great place
Booked dinner pre-theatre and was the perfect choice being a stones throw from The Palladium. Our waitress was friendly, service was excellent as was the food and it all arrived quickly. Can't fault the food, staff or the restuarant.
Food good but very quiet
Used to be such a great place but their food standards have definitely dropped. I ordered the burrata burger and the meat was really cheap and so over cooked that I just couldn’t eat it. My friend got a pizza which was fairly average too.
Good place if you’re looking for a catch up with an old friend but somewhere to go if you’re looking to impress someone.
The food is very good but quite pricey for simple dishes like pasta and pizza. We were a group of 6 and the staff struggled to keep up with service for drinks and food.
Love the truffle burrata. I felt that the chicken salad for £16.50 was sparse and not much nicer than some cheap Italian chains. But the wine is good. The other mains were good. Overall would visit again.
The food is amazing as always! The venue is perfect for everyday dining or catching up with families and friends! We are frequent guests of Obica.
Though the last time a number of issues spoilt overall impression: the hostess that met us at the door was very aggressive and snappy, the waiter kept forgetting our orders and left the table unattended for minimum 1.5 hrs. And it was freezing cold because of the aircon.
Looking forward to service improvements!
After about 10 minutes of sitting there, no one came to our table. So we left.
Really nice venue, spacious and very central. Typical Italian restaurant with nice starters and good main courses. I would recommend the pizzas, I think they are their strong suit. Pastas are ok but not exceptional. Staff is generally nice and very helpful. Nice to go with a group of up to 6 people and children friendly.
If you like Mozzarella then this is the place for you! Friendly service and fun pre-theatre.
Great starters and mains with good selection of items for vegetarians
awful service - repeatedly had to get up to find a staff memberto ask for things. repeatedly forgot to bring us items including main course as waiter had forgotten to place order. when main course eventually arrived, the food was sadly cold. not good value for the portion sizes, very plain tasting - i enjoy italian food but this was a disappointment.
Obica is a really good place to chill and have some good italian dishes. The cold and hot starters are very good and the pizza is one of the best I had in London.
The food is nothing to write home about though two of our party said the carbonara was good. Service was OK though about half of their beer selection was unavailable. Good location for a pre-theatre bite before the London Palladium.
They make a really delicious Pizza!! Not our first visit and def not our last. Service very friendly too.
We really really enjoyed our dinner.
Really simple, really delicious food. A decent range of wines. Attentive but not overly intrusive service. I'd definitely rebook.
Nice service and food.
Very good lunchtime meal.
Very good service and food delicious
Food great. Toilets more what you’d expect in a night club than a nice restaurant - broken door handles meant one of our group got stuck in the loo unable to get out. Staff appeared unfazed when told about this - toilet was in the same state an hour later when we left; no sign saying out of order so anyone could get stuck in it again.
But the food was great!
Very nice atmosphere. Good service and very good pizza!
Really enjoyed our lunch at Obicà - the food was delicious, the service excellent (friendly, efficient and know their stuff) and environment is lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely go again - such delicious dishes to try!
Service was fab! Need more vegetarian items on menu.
Great fresh food.
Always good food. Service slower than usual.
Lovely food and great service. I had lasagne which was really different and delicious
Good food but slow service
We had a fab time at Obicà. We arrived slightly late which the restaurant were relaxed about.
We shared a huge mozzarella ball for starters (when in Rome!) which was delightful (the 250g was a good portion between 4), and each enjoyed different mains.
The best part were the serving staff - all super friendly, polite but chatty and attentive but not over bearing.
We would definitely return as we were made to feel so welcome, thank you!
