Service was excellent and food very tasty as usual. Lovely burrata and pasta.
Delicious food and we really enjoyed the reasonably priced Sardinian white wine, nice place to meet friends for a relaxed meal
Mattia the service manager was really nice and Professional.
Fun, family friendly spot in the center of South Kensington. Great service, staff was very attentive and helped make some lovely choices on the Italian wine. Food was fresh and balanced with a diverse choice.
Lovely Italian - charming and friendly staff, excellent menu, drinks menu spot on - an excellent experience.
Very nice indeed, thank you.
Great sharing dishes (we ordered two of the truffle burrata between the two of us, because it was so delicious), lovely wine, friendly staff and nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Fast service too and decent value for the area.
The food was ok but nothing special. The service was not great and the place was uncomfortably hot. Having visited the Milan obica I was looking forward to a similar experience I was rather disappointed
Lazania were clearly microwaved
Wasnt expecting that, as everything else was very nice
We really enjoyed the restaurant. We had an early evening reservation so it was quite quiet. The weather was lovely so the bifold doors were open making the restaurant feel light and airy.
The food was delicious and was value for money.
Having been to the original Obica in Firenze, I was expecting the same, if not, close to the same quality. Regrettably, this was not the case.
I ordered a tuna carpaccio, but received what was essentially tuna fish similar to that found in a can. I returned the dish which was replaced with three slices of smoked tuna.
My wife and our guest ordered a chicken salad plate that lacked any attempt to present it in an appetizing manner, and was tasteless.
The only thing that made the lunch tolerable was manager. He was accommodating and very pleasant. But, I would either replace the “chef” or send him for refresher training. And, he was Italian
Happy to have stumbled across this lovely little place, good food and great selection of wines.
Excellent! The food was absolutely delicious!
Great atmosphere- love the food and great service - would come again
This restaurant is in a great location and has so much potential but is seriously let down by the menu, food quality and service.
Nice experience. Good food.
I was really hoping for a bit more from the food. The ambiance is really nice, service was on par but the food was just average and also very expensive. A shame as it’s a good location and close to home we were really hoping to add another resteraunt into our rotation but I don’t think we will be back.
Excellent, food, service, value for money and atmosphere!
Worst service in a long time.
Staff is friendly and helpful. We had a tight schedule and they managed to serve us on time to accomodate us. Food is also very good. Good value for your money.
Unlucky. The frier broke — apparently after we had ordered— so no arancini and no croquettes either— two crucial parts of what we wanted to eat. A restaurant so reliant on a frier needs a reserve machine— not impressed. Remaining food good—pastas excellent. No real apology.
Excellent food and service
Just an average Italian restaurant, food is okay, service is a bit slow. First we tried the one in Los Angeles and it was very nice the one in South Kensington is just okay
Great food and service. Nothing to fault
Great food, wine and cocktails. The smoked burrata and the burrata with truffle were my favourites!
I didn't like the restaurant at all mainly because of the very poor food that they offer. Mozzarella was awful - this was genuinely the worst mozzarella I've had in years (and I eat it regularly). Pasta was OK.
Lovely pasta n prawns!
Nice and good service.
Great staff and food!
Enjoyed the whole experience!
The starters are good. Burrata and Mozzarella is good. But they do not know how to make any kind of pasta for sure.
A traditional slightly out of the way Italian restaurant in Kensington it was quiet when I visited. Good range of usual Pasta and Pizza. Specialty is Mozzarella..Good as a sharing dish
Burrata was amazing, but once we got onto the pizza's, 13 pound for a parmigiana, exclusive tax and 12.5% service charge is not value for money. Very basic dough and no wood fire oven. Go for the starters not for the pizza's
Very original and varied menu, with a speciality in mozzarella (if you don't like that, then this is probably not a restaurant for you). Good and attentive service, in a nice quiet neighbourhood.
Really enjoyed the food and service. Great experience.
From arrival to departure, we were disappointed with this restaurant. Our group of 6 book but 7 decided to join the fun for a 50th birthday celebration. We were not welcomed but rather told to wait and rudely told we should've called to change the number. We should have, yes, but we shouldn't have been treated rudely. We were given a table, it wasn't set for 7 even after the way. Things were pushed around at the table after sat down. The service was poor and inattentive. One friend is a vegan and was told by our waiter, "Well, you've come to the wrong place." In the end, her nutritional needs were accommodated. The service was slow. Some of the food was cold when it arrived. We made a pretty big deal out of the birthday celebration but still the waiter didn't put a candle on even one of the many desserts we ordered until we asked him to take one back and light candle. The restaurant is not cheap and should offer decent service for the prices they charged. When the birthday girl asked the waiter if he was happy we were there, he didn't even take the time to answer. It was just one big disappointing event. Sad way to celebrate 50 years of life.
Relatively nice Italian - not sure I’d go there the second time round due to the value
