Nicely curated korean fusion.
Not traditional but good food.
Delicious Korean food. Highly recommend for great food and very helpful folks working there.
LOVED this spot. Never tried Korean, other than bbq. This food was elegant and beautiful as well as tasty and filling! Will be going again and again.
Love this place!!! Been there 6 times, always great.
We ate at OIJI for 2nd time. Instense interesting flavors, just as good the 2nd time! My wishlist: for them to use gluten free soy sauce so I can eat larger portion of menu! That would separate them from all other Korean.
Food was good but a little pricey. Among the 3 of us ladies, we ordered everything to share: Fried chicken, Oiji bowl, Jang jo rim, Ssam platter & the honey butter chips with vanilla ice cream. The Ssam platter was really delicious and the dessert is something that should not be missed. Probably the best dessert I’ve had and I am not a dessert person.
Do note that the place can be very noisy and my friends and I had to shout in order to hear each other. So if you’re looking to have a nice dinner with your other half, it’s not the most romantic place.
Service is impeccable and I really enjoyed my time there despite the noise level.
Great Food + Great Service!!
Really excellent food and cocktails, but not cheap!
Great environment, service and food quality. A little disappointed in the portion sizes for the price, as some of the meals were rather small. 4/5 stars, would definitely revisit
Dishes were very small and expensive. The food was good but not the best. They also charge a 18% gratuity for parties 6+. The service was great.
Incredible! Great flavors.
Great food, good service, honey chips with ice cream was a big hit.
I first came to OIJI when it first opened and it was fantastic then. Today the restaurant has evolved to becoming something truly remarkable. Every dish is so beautifully presented and thoughtfully plated to be considered art on a plate. This in no way compromises for incredible tastes, flavours and imagination which should be deemed worthy of a Michelin star or two!
Simply amazing. Loved the bone marrow, the chili lobster, the Oiji bowl. Interesting and decadent. Great cocktails.
Really nice date spot with an elevated dining experience in terms of complex food and great Asian inspired drinks. Everything was delicious although a bit pricey and smaller dishes
One of my favorite restaurants in the entire city. The quality of the food and cocktails are always superb. Special thanks to Max and our server Sam for making it such a hospitable and wonderful experience. Can't wait to go back.
The food quality is super nice!
Highly recommend try every dish!
Food was great, we like the seafood soup the most. The only issue is too noisy. Customers were arranged to sit pretty close, not much privacy.
Amazing food, friendly service.
Fantastic overall. The lobster ramen was surprisingly flavorful and rich, while being light at the same time. The duck on top of duck confit was mouthwateringly incredible and the ice cream for dessert was the cherry on top. Oh, and the fried chicken is a must. Go to this place if you get the chance. Between 2 people we had 2 apps and 2 entrees and a drink each and dessert and it was 95 a person after tax but there is no need to spend that much at all. Be prepared to spend closer to 70 though - not cheap.
I would never write a review for a place, mostly out of laziness, but Oiji deserves a 5 star review. From the ambiance to the amazing food, this was a great find. Normally, Korean food I would find in New York is mostly hole-in-the-wall, good, and cheap. This, while more expensive, has amazing, colorful and flavorful dishes that you couldn't find at another Korean restaurant. If you haven't gone and you like Korean food, it is a must go.
Not your same old Korean Restaurant! Farm to table ingredients, tasteful mash-up of contemporary cuisine, well soaked in Korean umami, artistically arranged on small plates. Everyone at our table tasted everything and we kept ordering more. Hard surfaces make OIJI a noisy place but it's small, so not deafening.
The food was incredible! Texture nuances, layered flavors and visual appeal. This is the best non-traditional gourmet Korean food I've ever had. Including when I visited Seoul. The calamari is one example! Legs fried and crispy, heads grilled and tender, served over smoked mushrooms with crisp cucumbers and delicious sauce poured table side.
very small portion.
food is good but over priced based on the portion.
We are tourists coming from Israel, was looking to have a romantic meal, after a lot of thought we decided to try this place, one of the dishes hasn’t come after more then 40 minutes!!! And the waiter kept on telling us it will take 3 minutes, we don’t like to be lied
Staff was attentive and considerate, flavors were excellent.
Very disappointed...this was my second time at OIJI. We loved it the first time so decided to come back. On this second visit, the food was simply not good. Octopus was over cooked. Salad was drenched in creamy dressing. It was almost gross. Spending $200 for 2 people on this poor quality was extremely disappointing.
Especially good service. Was also very impressed with the variety, inventiveness and freshness of cocktails/ingredients.
Awesome as always. Always love the ssam platter and oysters. I prob wouldn't order the lobster ramen again...a bit too cheesy flavored for me. But love everything else. Awesome service as well.
Amazing food and service.
A great experience.
Tried the bone marrow and was fantastic.
Food was amazing! So flavorful and tasty. Service was great. Would def recommend.
It was a lovely dinner, It’s great they are already open at 5pm. The food is extraordinary, therefore I came back (was there one year back and the food is still spectacular). the service also great, professional an d very amicable too.
The place is lovely and plays nice music too.
Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely stellar service! The staff was well knowledgeable about both the food and the various cocktails. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience
Every plate we ordered was truly to remember. The flavors were very sublime and well done. Don’t miss out on the dessert. Came out wanting to tell everyone that this place is a must.
I have heard about Oiji for the longest time and was extremely excited to go. I preferred four of their dishes:
1) Scallop Salad: probably the best of the bunch and the only one I liked.
2) Shrimp Uni bowl: this was a VERY small bowl and for the price, it was very mediocre.
3) SSam Wrap- great concept but the pork was very bland and rice extremely mushy
4) Long Island Duck - the biggest disappointment of the bunch. I think the chef forgot to marinate the duck or put salt in it because it was so very bland.
Overall, one of my more disappointing experiences. We didn’t really finish any of the food and had to go somewhere else to eat.
too noisy and crowded
Always great! Oiji bowl was to die for.
Amazing! Love all the dishes! Would definitely come back again
Seated us early. Good food and service. No Pretentious NY rubbish. Authentic people and experience.
