So good. Went for our last night in town and while they were out of swordfish, the halibut was delicious.
Fantastic meal and great service. Mauricio was attentive and answered all of our questions. Food and drinks were delicious. Will definitely be back!
Great! I check the reviews here for help picking out places. This one was awesome for our group of 6 with two kids.
Great food and drink and great service, in a great location.
Old Ebbitt Grill never disappoints. From the moment we entered, everyone was friendly and helpful. We were seated immediately a few minutes ahead of our reservations. Lena, our server was amazing and our food was delicious and all our requests were met.
Our server was fantastic. He never rushed us to order and was very attentive. The food was amazing, especially the brioche French toast, which was recommended by the server. Highly recommend! Will definitely be going back!
Great space and service. Was here for brunch and felt that the food was fairly priced but the cocktails were much higher priced (comparatively) so we skipped this time. The breakfast melt was fantastic and the burger was great (perfectly cooked) except for the tomato (bruised and not plump/fresh) and the bread (boring lifeless/worthless bun), and the fries were just right. My suggestion would be to scrap the bun and replace it (and or offer it as an option) with the brioche style bread that they used for the melt because it was considerably more satisfying/elevating.. There's a very nice atrium space further inside but felt like a different restaurant re. the more modern decor et..
Fantastic experience! Superb service, quiet surroundings, and excellent food. Wish this restaurant had a branch in our part of the country!
Alexis was awesome! Ensured our experience was a good one!
Very disappointed. We booked reservations many weeks in advance at Old Ebbitt Grill to close our DC vacation because we wanted our family to experience all the history there. We were extremely disappointed when we were seated in the lobby of the office building next door. This had all the ambience of a high school gym. Food was good but not spectacular. Our server was fine despite the pathetic setting. At least the people we got to walk past on our way in and out of the restaurant seem to be enjoying themselves.
Food was excellent. Great vibe.
Great food, great company and even better service. Will definitely be back!
Our experience was excellent!
We were provided exceptional service by Mike! Will definitely be back.
They didn’t have crab cakes due to Covid, or the blondie cake, but the food we had was delicious and enjoyable.
Great experience all around. Service, food and ambience were perfect. Can't wait to come back!
What an incredible experience! We had a lovely drink and appetizer at bar, good conversation with the bartender (can’t recall his name but wore glasses!) The ambiance was perfect-celebrated my sister’s passing of her nursing boards and he made it very special!
I am glad this place is a success. It is very well managed and it opens late like in Europe. Great to see so many people enjoying this DC mainstay restaurant.
Every time I go here, the experience Is great in Every way.
Always a great place to come; for the food, for the service, for the atmosphere, and for the drinks and the raw bar, especially at happy hour!
Classic restaurant which is very well run. We enjoyed everything especially the oysters! We look forward to visiting again.
Amazing food and service- old ebbitt never fails to impress!
The food was delicious, and we had very attentive service.
Old Ebbitt Grill never lets you down as far as food & service.
Our waitress Jenny was very nice & efficient. I was disappointed in the food . I ordered the Maryland Crab Soup and it was just like minestrone. I have had crab soup in Maryland & I don’t remember it being anything like this one. Jenny graciously took it back & replaced it with clam chowder. I also ordered the shrimp cake and was even more disappointed. The shrimp did not get cooked at all. Having said all this I would still return to the Old Ebitt but stick with their hamburgers which are excellent.
Must stop in DC!
All we can say is WE LOVE OLD EBBITT!!! Food, Service and Fun!! Trout Parmesan A++++!!
Great meals! Great service! We will definitely be back!
Old Ebbitt is reliable for lunch - business or personal. Good range of options on the menu. Excellent service.
Great food and great service, it came highly recommended and did not disappoint, would love to go back and try a few more things on the menu!
Old Ebbitt has a great atmosphere - feels historic and pretty fancy but also laid back. The food was exceptional, and the bill was shockingly small! Highly recommend.
The food was amazing as well as the service. So pleasant and a wonderful place to eat.
Our reservation was honored and we were seated right away. Service was excellent, food was very good in taste, variety and portion size. We enjoyed the dinner and the ambiance in this very busy restaurant.
Old Ebbitts is a place that is a must visit when in DC. It seems like a tourist trap but the food is terrific, the service is remarkable, and the restaurant is wonderful to look around. A must see, must eat location
Excellent food, service & atmosphere, did not disappoint!
Our server whose name I have forgotten shows as Frehiwot T on my receipt. She was totally outstanding; attentive, unobtrusive, efficient and pleasant. Food was good, hearty servings, fresh ingredients. Our booth in the Corner Bar was perfect spot for a very welcomed reunion.
What a fun place to get together with friends, family and even work! Got to see the walrus in the wall. There are several bars and the oysters and crab cake are delicious!!!
While on a family DC trip, we reserved a lunch meal to celebrate a family birthday. Food was excellent, service was prompt and the ambiance is gorgeous and unique!
Everything was delicious, but the Mussells and the oysters we’re the highlight!!
