We know it is no fun to wear a mask while enjoying a night out, but our staff's safety is no laughing matter.
We require all guests to wear a mask while moving about the restaurant, and when speaking to Clyde's employees.
Masks have been a hot topic, with passionate views on all sides. With our team and their families' health at stake, we must err on the side of caution. We hope you will understand and look forward to the day, hopefully soon, when we can all throw our masks in the trash.

Great upscale spot in Washington. Great service, food, ambiance. Great location.
Had a great dinner with my Daughter. Our Waiter was attentive, prompt and the food was divine! Definitely a must do spot when we visit in the future!
Food was great and service was wonderful.
My lunch mate and I both got the same salad, but mine came without the beets. Both salads came with the most unripe avocado slices I’ve ever been served in a restaurant.
Thank you Nohemi for fabulous service! Chicken sandwich and chicken salad bowl were both outstanding, as was the crab and artichoke dip.
Loved the ambiance
, food and wait staff! Had Walters Favorite with clam chowder and my daughter had a bacon cheeseburger. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had. The French fries were perfectly cooked which sounds weird but they were so good. Will definitely go back if I’m the DC area again.
excellent food and service
The food was delicious and the waiter was excellent!!!!
This place always does it right. Very professional staff serving really good food. Truly a must of you are going to be in town for dinner. Prices are very fair given the quality of the food and overall dining experience.
Steak Fritz was way over seasoned! Too
Much salt and pepper - difficult to eat. Server was very goo, though. Won’t be going back soon.
Loved it, as always. Our server, I’m almost sure it was Stephanie, was fantastic…she’s great at her job;)!
Delicious food; Tutu was exceptional — very personable, excellent!
We have enjoyed lunch here several times and have never been disappointed! Our food is always prepared exactly the way we like it and the flavor is superb! My Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl was the best salad I have ever had anywhere. We love the inside decor and the booth is very comfortable with a velvet cushion. To top it all off, the prices are good, maybe a little higher than some places, but not much, and the quality of food is always better than other restaurants. I would highly recommend Old Ebbitt Grill.
Another fine evening at Bobby Vans! We will be back
This place was recommended to my friends and I by an uber driver as a great restaurant. I have to say, it definitely lived up to being a great restaurant but it far surpassed great. Here I tried my first ever filet mignon and it was amazing!! We also got a starter which was the humus and pita chip starter and I had never tasted such great humus before. The humus I had tried tended to always be salty but this humus was amazing and so flavorful. We had dessert as well and I had the key lime pie. I was a bit surprised by it because it was sour but I soon realized that it was because this key lime pie specifically, did have genuine lime flavor. Rather than sugar dominating the key lime pie, the lime flavor was what dominated. I 100% recommend eating here and I look forward to coming again!
All was great
Service was very good and the food was excellent and a good value. We were seated in a part of the restaurant we had not been in before and the atmosphere was not great, but still a very good experience.
Awesome place to go when visiting DC
Old Ebbitt Grill never disappoints. The service is attentive, but not intrusive and the food is consistently outstanding.
Our waiter Saad made our dining experience extra special.
The removal of crab cakes from the menu was a surprise and a disappointment. Eastern Market cafe still has cakes.
The receptionist was not friendly. A guest next to my table spoke loudly over the phone with turning on speaker phone. It was noisy but the staff did not take any measures to keep peaceful environment. I was disappointed.
First time here. Will be back in July as we enjoyed that much!
Our experience was fantastic, Leah was our server and she was super knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t wait to return.
This visit, like every past visit, was very enjoyable living up to our expectations. We introduced another couple to the OEG experience. They too plan to visit on every trip to DC.
We were in DC for 4 days, and visited this restaurant 4 times! Two dinners and two breakfasts-different days/times and consistently delicious with great service. The chef must be the best, because the food combinations and presentation were fantastic. I thought the prices were reasonable considering the caliber of food and service.
Old Ebbitt Grill was great for brunch. They don’t offer a lot of egg dishes, but what they do offer is very well made and tastes excellent.
The service, food and location were excellent! I highly recommend Old Ebbitt Grill.
I ordered my 4-year-old grandson a Shirley Temple and I don't think the bartender knew how to make it. It tasted awful. It also should have been in a see-through glass.
I had asked what the 'boy' version was of the Shirley Temple and waiter didn't know. Later I remembered - the "Roy Rogers."
We have been wanting to eat there for many years, and finally got there for the first time, celebrating with family we had not seen in two years. The food was really great, the dessert was out of this world magnificent, and the staff was personable and well trained. We couldn't be happier, and look forward to visiting again.
Perfect celebration dinner for our mother’s 80th birthday!
Took a friend here for his bday celebration. We both enjoyed our food and the staff. Reservations are a must as this place is very popular.
This place is amazing the food and service were fantastic. Highly recommend!
Consistently Outstanding service and food. We were early for our reservation, but we’re seated without any problem. We’re always glad to support this staple of DC restaurants!
You can't make a wrong selection fthe menu. There's something for everyone
Lovely place. Good food and nice environment. Excellent selection for both kids and adults.
Tutu is the best per usual!!! Miss the crab cakes of course, but the shrimp cakes were a nice substitute. Wonderful as always!
Really disappointing food. Chipotle serves a better meal. Appetizers were good but the main course was just awful. Definitely wouldn’t waste my time again.
We love this restaurant and visit every trip to DC. We had a small issue but the Manager went above and beyond handling it! We will continue visiting every trip! We recommend ♥️
We have eaten here before when we visit Washington DC. It is a institution in Washington and if you have never been you should try it.
