Everything was perfect as usual. We made a booking in advance and we got the table we wanted. The menu was different from than last time we visited but everything was delicious.
The service is very polite and helpful. The staff at Olive Grove has always been kind and nice so far.
Amazing food and service, great wine , lovely seating and good value
Blank walls, no artwork makes it look like a school dining hall. Menu is limited but not in a good way. It wasn’t bad by any means, but defo nothing special or interesting. The staff were friendly though. I wouldn’t go again.
Was pleasantly surprised by the good service and quality food. The food was excellent and we did not wait long either. The menu is also straightforward
We visited Olive Grove for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was surprisingly quiet given its central location in Brighton's Lanes. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food super tasty. I'll be going back and would happily recommend to others.
Lovely little restaurant in a beautiful area. Great service fantastic food - will definitely return x
We had a very nice meal here. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty, the prawns and octopus were very good.
Another great meal with you always a great service and good food well done and keep on going we will be back again when we are in Brighton
Basically a good friendly place if a little pricey. But rent in that area is expensive
Great service, tasty food at Brighton prices! Worth a visit
I don't think the prices for the size of the portions could be justified in the centre of London, let alone in Brighton's lanes. The bill was easily 40% more than I would have expected. Very nice place, but way too expensive for what it is.
Prawns, lamb and courgette/feta croquettes all excellent. Particularly good Greek wine (Kenpua 2016 nemea). Definitely going to visit again
The Olive Grove has a laid back style but with attentive service and delicious food. A great option in the Lanes.
Delicious dinner and excellent service. Good social distancing measures in place but still a very good atmosphere.
Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff!
Amazing food, great service. Would definitely go again.
I first visited the Olive Grove on the Eat out to help out scheme and was really impressed. My second visit did not disappoint. The service is fantastic and the staff really friendly. The food is delicious and the restaurant has a welcoming ambience. Highly recommended!!
Really good food, service was a bit slow initially and no hanging around once we'd finished, they wanted us gone! Would go back though because the food was so nice....
Greeted immediately on arrival, had a table booked and soon after we sat down we were offered another table ( which was nicer… nice touch) service was attentive and quick and the food was very good. Wine was expensive (especially based on quality ) however food Portion sizes are quite large for a tapas style menu so be aware. overall really good food and great service.
Overall very positive experience, food lovely and waiter attentive and also gave good advise. The foid has a resl tapas feel to it, quite relaxed and informal. The bill however was quite high for 3 people. Based on value for money not sure if I would go back soon.
Very good food and service
Would definitely rebook
We booked Olive Grove as we have previously been several times and enjoy the fact that the food is good and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately this time we found that although the food is still good, you have increased your prices considerably and due to this big mistake on your part, sadly we will not be returning.
Loved this evening out from the moment we entered to the moment we left.
Food was really good and was delivered quickly. It was a bit of a lottery with regard to what order we ate in since dishes were delivered as they were cooked. Not to everyone's taste but it wax a joy for us
On sunny, warm days, it is great to sit outside in the shade, where it is hard to believe that such a peaceful place is right in the busy heart of Brighton. But it is also very pleasant inside, where it feels very spacious and comfortable,
Food and service were good but we felt that the dishes were rather small for the price that was being charged.
Deceived N H S customer’s do not actually support the discount they advertise in their website to customer’s who hold Blue Light emergency services cards. Outrageous they would not honour discount card as advertised when bill was delivered to table. Limited choices on menu and very expensive for portion sizes. Far better restaurants in Brighton offering better value for food and drink.
First time visiting Olive Grove since pandemic. They’ve changed their menu significantly- it’s all small plates now, but with large plate prices. Everything is over £8 each & some small plates are over £15! My partner used to love their steak & chips but it’s now a steak with nothing. There isn’t even an option for chips as a side. My veggie moussaka & courgette fritter dishes were very tasty but not worth £20 altogether. The drinks are small & expensive too. Not sure I’ve ever seen such a small bottle of Coke. Also, the room was chilly - it was a cold night & we did not warm up at all. We won’t be coming back sadly. The staff were nice & friendly, the restaurant is pretty but they couldn’t make up for the small & expensive food.
A very nice experience, a good choice of wines, a small cheese board would be a good addition to the menu (albeit, probably not very Greek!).
Great food, lots to choose from, nice chilled vibe but with an authentic feel.
Great service - really attentive.
Food choices were good, simple.
Quality great - good, honest home cooked food.
Slightly on the pricey side for what were reasonable portions.
The service was absolutely fine and overall we enjoyed the experience. However, the food was a massive let down. For a tapas restaurant and the prices you have a certain level of expectations, you expect great over good. The food was a little bland, dry, and tasteless. In particular, the calamari was dry and tasteless, the lamb was dry and dull placed on top of a flatbread. Some dishes were okay, but okay I’d not good enough for the prices. I would urge the owners and chef to really challenge themselves and ask “is just being okay good enough?” and to go and have dinner at Nostos for example and compare their offerings side by side. Nostos is exceptional Greek cuisine packed with flavour and screams quality and being great. All I see here is an opportunity to get better and improve their food. I’m not sure whether the problem is a produce quality issue or quite simply the chef isn’t good enough. Either way change needs to occur and I hope they are honest with themselves from reading this feedback. Strive to be great on the plate because right now you’re just okay.
Had a very nice meal. Good service. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Tasty, well presented food, tapas style plates. Friendly with good service.
It was noisy, the wooden floors and limited furnishings means there is nothing to deaden the sound. We ate early but it was busy and so glad we had booked. Seemed expensive for what we had but everything was qood quality.
Loved my meal at Olive Grove. Delicious food, attentive service. Will return and recommend
The staff were lovely and the service was great. Could have been a few more. People to create an atmosphere.
Food was delicious, would maybe order a little differently as the food was rich, added some more salad. Would definitely return
We arrived at 12:30 and despite being the only people in the service was quite slow to begin with. A few items on the quote limited menu also were not available.
Lovely food, atmosphere and very friendly staff. Great location.
Really lovely evening. Friendly and helpful staff, attentive without being intrusive. Delicious food with good portions. Worried initially that 4 plates and a dessert wouldn’t be enough for two but left quite happily stuffed. Would love to come back.
Staffs are so kind to us, and I had a great dinner there
Really nice food, fast friendly service…all in all a lovely evening!
