The only thing about our visit I would change is the music. I would have a more authentic Mediterranean music to finish off the setting.
I will be going again,
Lovely meal at the olive grove, would definitely return.
The food was delicious and the service was good and prompt , but we felt a bit rushed at times so didn’t feel as relaxing as hoped.
Food was delicious. Cod chunks especially and the salad so fresh. Sirloin steak slices were a definite hit. Will be returning as had a fantastic evening.
Food was FANTASTIC! I highly recommend the octopus! In fact it was so good that after we finished our initial meal - despite being full - we ended up ordering another plate of octopus!
The super friendly and swift service was very impressive. The décor is really nice and just right- cosy but stylish, and the food out of this world! I am a vegan so had some vegan dishes and one was the best I have ever had! ( Courgette balls)
The Staff is very attentive and friendly, and food is served quickly. We love the place and will definitively go back again and again!
Beautiful place to sit and eat in the sunshine, food was amazing and the wine was chilled to perfection.
Food was delicious. Brilliant customer service too. We will visit again.
It is great little restaurant in the middle of the Lanes. Loved tapas, service was great!
Beautiful food, lovely surroundings, great service.
Great food, every dish was delicious, the decor is very disappointing though, which leaves the ambiance lacking.
Very nice Mediterranean ambiance with good service and excellent food.Best Koftas ever.
We had heard good reviews before arriving and were looking forward to our meal with high expectations that weren't met. Mix of different cuisines made it seem random and not authentic. Restaurant was very casual, diners in joggers for example and the deco was rough around the edges. Portion sizes seemed unfair and small for the amount I paid, and there was a lack of choice on the menu. Although the staff were friendly and there was a nice outdoor area.
The food was highly saturated in oil, including the calamari which was over-fried. We complained about this and they still added it to our bill. The plates were expensive for tapas, £12.90 for an octopus tentacle served with tired looking salad. he wine tasted cheap and was £7.50 a glass. Overall not at all impressed with the quality of the food and how expensive it was.
Overall an okay experience, won’t be going again sadly. With the prices that they are asking you don’t get as much as you would hope for, especially to share. Some dishes are a hit or miss and there is lack of selection for a Tapas restaurant.
Truly beautiful food, friendly serving staff, lovely setting in such a central position
Lovely flavours.. nice food.. nice atmosphere.. only critique is that tables would look better laid when you sit down.. thank you 😊
Delicious! Friendly staff - great selection and cocktails were lovely. Recommended.
Excellent service, great place to eat, but inside gets very noisy sadly.
Fantastic food, amazing service and an unforgettable time thank you so much for transporting us to Greece!
Lovely food and would totally recommend the chips. Reasonable prices for the amount of food you got. Waiting staff were all very friendly. We were given a table outside as I had requested. Would definitely go vack
Good food and superb ambience right in the heart of the lanes in Brighton. Shame about the staff being more interested in closing up than serving us. The bruschetta was a let down but the rest of the food was great.
Cold table in the doorway even though we had Pre booked - service was not very good - but the food was very tasty and ok value
Roasted veg turned up after main was half eaten
Portions were small and not value for money
Exceptional food and great service. It was a birthday meal for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely come back and recommend.
It was great for a light lunch, everything was very fresh and great quality.
The staff were very friendly and happy, they made us feel super welcome, especially the girl with dark hair, glasses and beautiful tattoos :)
Wonderful. Just sad that items had been removed from the menu
Gorgeous tapas with good portion size. Menu is small so easy to choose. Service was efficient. Recommend the prawns! Slightly pricey but food was worth it.
Second time I’ve been here this week- my new favourite restaurant! Food is delicious, service is quick and huge choice of wines!!
Lovely food and good value. Really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. Felt like I was abroad. Fabulous
The portions were too small for the price, the food lacked seasoning. We had to look for staff to serve us, they were however very friendly. The tables were very sun damaged, the place needs a bit of tlc. It has potential to be better.
Top quality food - haloumi salad with pommegranite seeds; chicken thighs with honey and sesame seeds; king prawns. Great service all round. Good work Olive Tree!
Really good food, great service and good value. We had a lovely birthday meal
Lovely place to spend a few hours in the evening. Will be back if in the area
Delicious home cooked authentic Mediterranean food, friendly service. Little gem tucked away.
Lovely waiting staff and incredible food- we loved the feta and courgette dumplings and abundant serving of anchovy and bruschetta!
unfortunately there was a lot of noise from a private kiddies party in the room above where we sitting outside at 7.30 pm .
suddenly there where 2 bottles thrown that neat hit members of the public who where dinning.
the owner did come down to apologise but only 1 one table when 5 tables where affected.
now down to the food . it was hot and tasty but as it is al bought up together it's cold by time you finished. just a heads up prawns are served in the shell.
We sat outside in the courtyard - there was a lovely holiday atmosphere. Service was excellent. Toilets clean.
FOOD WAS AMAZING!
We had breads with a rich balsamic and oil dip - very nice indeed...plates arrived as prepped so it wasn't long before our cod arrived. We hadn't planned on the cod but saw another table's - it certainly didn't disappoint with a crushed pea base - thank fully not minted! We also had the courgette dumplings - not quite what I expected as they were crispy (reminded me of a bhaji in style) with a soft scrumptious centre. These were served on a bed of a delicious dip - again lovely! Our final dish was roasted veg - they really made veg incredible with stem broccoli, courgette, peppers etc!
Every dish was hot and full of flavour.
Chardonnay was good and priced well
Next time we are in Brighton, we will be booking here!
went here for a late lunch and the vibe was perfect. very authentic food and very lovely staff. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
