The service was poor. We were not greeted for 15minutes. The server never came by, we had to flag random ones from across the room. The seemingly new server also grated Parmesan cheese onto my pasta on the rind side and not the cheese. This grated rind got everywhere- in my lap, on the table on my belongings etc. The food was overpriced for the quality. Would expect more from a thanksgiving prix fixe as well. The one redeeming quality was that the turkey was well cooked and the wine was tasty
Server took awhile and forgot my daughters refill. But that was the only negative about this place. We all had something different and every dish was delicious! The wine on special was perfect and dessert was spot on. Would totally recommend this to the foodies out there
Loved it. Great food, Thanksgiving dinner selections wonderful. Our destination for Thanksgiving dinner next year!
We went for the Thanksgiving special seating. Sorry, but we expected more from an O&B restaurant than the bland, uninspired, cafeteria fare we received. (For this we could have gone to Fran's or Niblets, paid 1/3 the price, and likely got something twice as tasty and better executed.) Is the Cafe now only for undiscerning tourists?
Our dinner was very well but please give us more time to eat between each plate. Between entree and main course 3 peoples came to take my plate but I didn’t finish...
Unfortunately despite the pleasant atmosphere and service I was served a beef burger instead of the plant based burger that I ordered. Even after a conversation with the server it wasn’t until after I finished my meal that the server and manager came over to inform me that I had eaten a beef burger. I have chosen not to eat beef for the last 40 years of my life so you can understand why my overall experience was quite unpleasant and upsetting.
From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed by everyone. Wait staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. It was Friday night so lots of after work diners as well as the theatre crowd. A nice casual restaurant with a good buzz in the air, which I like and good jazz playing in the background. It’s a lovely restaurant and I just love the classy individual powder rooms
We ate here several years ago and enjoyed it, however, this time we did not a have good experience. I couldn’t even eat half of my Rueben sandwich (it was not good!), and wasn’t asked if it was ok or if there was a problem. It was extremely loud, and they kept turning the music up louder. I don’t usually expect such loud music at 5:00 pm. The cocktails and appetizers were great, but that’s it. I don’t think we’ll be back.
Ok if u are in a hurry and can't leave the immediate Union Station area. Like an up-priced Montana's/ Olive Garden.
Our party of 4 was more than impressed with everything about this restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated very quickly. Our server, Ajay, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and funny. Another server, Daniel, added to the experience by helping us decide on food dishes and touching base with us every so often. He joked with us and made sure we always had what we needed. The food was delicious beyond our expectations. We highly recommend the Mac and Cheese!! Yes it was creamy, creamy!! and tasted even better with the REAL bacon I requested. We did not feel rushed and were able to have one of the best dining experiences. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend Oliver & Bonacini!!
This choice suited our needs perfectly. Your location between the subway and the St.Lawrence Centre was ideal. The Menu offered choices both large and small so we could suit our appetites. The waiter was absolutely perfect, attentive, friendly and aware of the timing because we were going to the theatre.
yes we will come again.
One of our favourite place to stop in when we come to torronto. We had the nicest waiter. The meal was wellnpaced with very tasty food. Menu seems to change often so it's always new things to try.
Our party of five dined here before attending a show at the Meridian hall which is conveniently located across the street but chose this restaurant based on its reputation for excellent food. One of our party members inquired about a pre-show special which apparently some restaurants in the area have but our server informed us that instead of a pre-show special, they have a smaller menu. He mentioned that if we came back on a different day, the menu would be much bigger. This seemed a bit disappointing to be honest. I didn't realize coming on a show night would mean that we wouldn't receive the full O&B experience and felt slightly jilted. Although, I will add that everyone was pleased with the entrées they ordered.
The food and service was very very good.Unfortunately the NOISE level was VERY VERY LOUD . You need to have noise absorbing materials on the walls and ceiling .
Always a good experience
Difficult to find great value this time. Eggs were not cooked properly and overall not a meal to remember. After being a patron for so many years, it was less than impressive.
It was great and our server was fantastic! We would definitely return.
We ordered our drinks and main course at the same time, and found it very odd that our good came out before our drinks. The food was enjoyable and presented well. The service was not good from there, second drinks took a long time and we sat with our dirty plates in front of us for quite awhile. The restaurant is nice and in a great location.
Service was off tonight. Server was pretty flippant about a food sensitivity and he also brought a dish that I didn't order. Been here 3 other times and the service was spot on so I'll give them a pass this once. Food was perfect, as always.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable, and gave us his recommendation when asked. The food and service were both excellent. We will definitely return.
Our service was subpar. I had a glass of water and it had a fly in it and our server did not apologize or provide any concessions for this mishap. He was doting on a table next to us who were spending a lot of money on drinks and food and we did not order drinks or a lot of food
The food was amazing and we received impeccable service overall :)
Fantastic food and attentive service, as always! Went before a show at Sony Centre and timing was perfect.
Was okay. Had higher expectations of the food. Bathrooms were disgusting. Very surprising.
I have been here a few times recently because of Just for Laughs. Every time all staff members are polite, friendly, and made sure it was a great experience. The recent reservation on Friday was with a friend who had never been. Had a great time and fantastic meal.
Food was OK, service wasn't great. Even had to ask for water.
Danielle our server was excellent. She gave us plenty of time to order, made good suggestions that were correct. A very pleasant meal on one of the last days of summer. Comments on the food were all positive: pad thai was good, salmon was good and the cauliflower starter got good reviews too.
Ok for a casual meal with options that are closer to a roadhouse than a grill.
Enjoyed our pre theatre dinner. Appetizers ( meatballs were tasty as was the edamame). Enjoyed sashimi and salmon bowl. Good selection of wines
The tuna tataki was disgusting. Tasted like it was pre-prepared and sitting in a fridge. I should’ve sent it back. The cocktails were decent, other appetizers okay.
Good for a bite to eat before a show. Food was good but pricy for what you got (as expected for the location). Disappointed in the size and large amount of ice in the cocktail. Disappointed in that the only gluten free options were salads, I was still quite hungry after my $26 salmon piece with a green salad I will probably try another restaurant next time, but depending on the circumstance and group would be willing to go back.
The location and patio are fantastic but unfortunately the dining experience the last two times I’ve been there have been poor. And multiple items were ordered on the menu and almost all were sub standard. Even though the location is great, if they don’t do something about the quality of their food, they will lose clientele (for dining).
Amazing dinner and great waiter and staff, we will be back for more!
The ambience and service was great, as were the coctails! A couple of the bowls were so so, hamburger rare, but the chicken was a winner.
Restaurant was beautiful in how it was decorated, very clean. Washrooms were private. Staff was very friendly and our server was probably one of the nicest and most helpful servers I have ever encountered. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very quiet when we got there, but got busy quickly. Did not feel at all rushed and was able to enjoy my dining experience. I would definately return there and recommend to others.
Our food was a little underwhelming. Service was great though.
Had the fish and chips, excellent, portion size perfect, was there for happy hour, great price for a 9 ounce wine. That made me happy. Atmosphere was lively and vibrant for that early time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the O&B Grill. Food was plentiful and tasty. Our server, Tarren, was so accommodating and very knowledgeable about the food offerings and wine pairings. He provided marvelous recommendations given our personal likes/dislikes. He couldn't have been more helpful. All and all a great experience!
A bit noisy but we were seated in an open area, I'm sure the booth seats would be fine. We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. The bathrooms are spotless, lovely decor but there was no hand soap. All in all a great location to meet up with friends as it is near all public transportation.
We had a pleasant supper, good service, very tasty food. We had lots of time so lingered after. Very nice environment.
