About

One Sixty Smokehouse restaurant and bar is now open in West Hampstead. We use locally sourced produce to create Smokehouse classics with an English flair.

8 hour smoked Pork ribs, 12 hour smoked ox cheeks and 8 hour smoked lamb breast are some of our signature dishes. All sourced from free-range suppliers.

Alongside the food sits a selection of over 50 craft beers from all around the world and a cocktail list made up of old school classics

Why One Sixty? When the meat heats at 160˚F in the imported smoker from the US the magic really begins. The tissues within the meat break down and melt like butter adding even more flavour to our specially chosen cuts.

Good American style BBQ restaurant in the heart of West Hampstead. Was very busy even on a weekday evening but this didn't detract from the food which is the highlight. Good place to come if you like American style BBQ, whilst vegetarian options are there, probably a place for the meat eaters. Really good selection of beers on tap and bottle too.

I didn't know what to expect, I was in the lap of the open table gods. The friendly and relaxed service was slow to get attention at times, but when the Smoked Sunday roast arrived - WOW. Juicy meat, bonemarrow, cauliflower cheese, good roasties..... and the burger looked amazing too.... super happy with food, price and the sunday lunch we enjoyed. OneSixty I look forward to coming back for a visit soon. thank you x

I was meeting a friend in West Hampstead and there are so many restaurants to choose from so this choice was based on reviews which were pretty positive. The food and wine (we did not go for the beers although people have raved about the beer selection !) were good but the atmosphere was non existent and the dining area was less than half full but outside, being a decent evening was completely full whether for eating or just drinking. No real complaints but would have been nice to have a good atmosphere whilst eating. Service was good and food above average but not sure whether we would re-visit ?

The meal was okay, but didn't really have a lot of punch. Our order got lost in the kitchen so we had to wait. When we inquired, nobody seemed to notice, even though people who arrived after us received theirs.

It could be great, but the service and the food were a let down, which is a shame as the reviews were quite good.

The starters were fantastic. Mains pretty good. Nice beer selection too. What let this place down a was service. Not being served quickly, staff standing around chatting instead was a shame. I'd expect that at a fast food burger diner not a well priced establishment.

Having spent time in Texas, the food can't compare, but the food was enjoyable and I'd recommend eating here. The waitress was a little awkward and therefore the atmosphere wasn't the best, but maybe it was just a bad day. Would definitely return, but there are better BBQ places.

Good evening at the Smokehouse with friends. The place was busy with locals and very warm up the back where we were sat. Had the ribs - a very generous serving. I had to take half of it home! Overall food was good but didn't wow.

In London's West Hampstead area, this is perhaps one of the very few restaurants that offers very good ribs and american style food.
Quality is good but not great.

I know One Sixty Smokehouse really well - it's just round the corner from where I live so I go there often for the excellent ribs and burgers. I booked for this Monday evening after receiving an email about the £15 for 2 courses deal- I thought it sounded like an exciting concept and looked forward to trying some new dishes.

The food was tasty as expected! We were seated at 7 and the food came out swiftly. We ordered cocktails and 2 courses.

However, having just finished our mains the waitress came over and asked us to leave- as apparently the next cover for our table had arrived. It was 8.30pm- an hour and a half after we arrived. This was really disappointing we would have liked to stay for some more drinks and dessert but instead were forced to pay our bill immediately and hurry out unceremoniously. This would have been fine had we been warned when we were seated or indeed when we booked that we would have to leave by 8.30 but this was not the case and unfortunately soured the whole experience for us! A real shame!

Decided to go here for my husbands birthday. Unfortunately, we didn't realise it was a small restaurant in the back of a bar. Both the bar and restaurant were very noisy. The service was poor and on the slow side. The wine although expensive was poor quality. The food was poor to average. My son couldn't even eat his burger as they had put so much red cabbage in it that it made the bread bun go soggy. The chairs were uncomfortable and we were seated at a table for 2 even though there were 3 of us in our party. This meant my husband had to sit with the leg of the table between his legs for the duration of the meal as the table was not wide enough for him to get his chair under. Overall, wouldn't recommend.

We ate here at Easter Weekend and thought the ribs were as good as our favourite places in the USA.

We returned with our daughter last week and, apart from the noise, we could have been in a different restaurant.

My wife's half-rack was tough & my full-rack was so salty I couldn't finish it. The chips were great.

My daughter decided she just wanted some plain pasta, so they agree to cook mac & cheese without the cheese (!). This took so long to arrive that my wife and I had finished eating.

When the waitress returned and asked if everything was OK, I told her that the ribs were tough and too salty to eat. She replied that they're rubbed with salt so that's why they're salty! And did we want a dessert?

We said 'no' and asked for the bill.

Not only was there no account taken for the fact we couldn't finish the food, but they had charged £10 (TEN POUNDS!!!) for a small pan of macaroni.

It was the kind of disappointing experience that shouldn't happen in any restaurant.

Frankly, it was a disgrace.

If Pied a Terre or L'Autre Pied behaved like this, their Michelin Stars would be removed pronto. Casual dining shouldn't mean poor quality.

The pulled pork was very mushy, although on my first visit it was delicious. I will probably not rush back due to the inconsistency and the fact that there are other bbq places to try.

The restaurant was so noisy, none of our party could hear each other. Eventually we got to move tables! The food was ok but nothing special. When it came to ordering coffee the restaurant said they don't have any sweetener, only sugar. In this day and age I find that indefensible.

This is a great local of ours. With one of us originating from The American South this place had a lot to live up to. It did. The ribs were top notch and falling off he bone with a good BBQ and spice taste. Salad and chips also great. Good negroni too. Good value.

In short in was good, the food was high quality (had pork, ribs, beefburger, crab burger), the meat tender, squid delicious. Great drinks selection. It was a touch expensive, but that was primarily due to the drinks. Some members of our party commented that the meat could have had a more distinctive smokey taste. I would say it wasn't outstanding or distinctive. You can get that at this price point. However don't let that put you off, I would go there again.

I like the ambience and what's on the menu. I had pork rib and it was off the bone tender, however, I'd find their food very salty and not enough BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce itself could be sweeter too. Their Eaton mess was cream (texture of cheesecake) and lemon sorbet, without meringue or any crunch, which was disappointing but my husband found it ok. I did enjoy Hawkes alcoholic ginger beer they served.

We went to OneSixty for date night. We had a really nice meal - red meat for my partner, and smoked chicken salad plus the special of cod goujons for me as a non red meat eater. I was impressed that OneSixty had even more non red meat options in-house compared to what I found on the website. After we shared a gorgeous banoffee desert. In terms of the ambience, it was rather noisy, more so with the sound of the floorboards, and a few noisy children and so I would call definitely call it a bar restaurant. Sound really travelled. It was also fairly dimly lit - but with a glowing tv in the corner showing sports - that certainly took away the 'romantic' edge we were looking for. But overall I had a great date and went home very happy indeed.

If you're looking for BBQ foods, or just like meaty dishes, then you HAVE to come to 160. The meat is insanely tender, you can just look at it and it falls apart, with rich flavours in every single bite. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Absolutely love the food at one sixty, their pork ribs are second to none in London. The meat literally falls off the bone and is accompanied by deliciously tart pickles and slaw. We also tried the beef ribs this time, also delicious, although a lot more fatty than the pork ribs. Our friend also tried the pulled pork bun which she said was delicious.

Unfortunately this is really where the good news stops. We have been on 5 occasions and every time the service is terrible. Its not that they are not nice (on the contrary, really friendly) but the staff seem to be ridiculously unorganised! There seem to be a huge number of people working (I counted 5 on the floor and two on the bar) which is frankly a lot for a restaurant and bar of this size; and unfortunately people don't seem to know what they are meant to be doing. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come take our drinks order, and she made a point of saying this wasn't her section and ran off before we could order our food. Our actual waitress then arrived to take our order 5 minutes later and tried to badger us into ordering broccoli for the table...
Sadly the beers (Gamma Ray) were sub par (Over carbonated and ashy after taste). Luckily the food always makes up for it. Take away for us next time!

We love this place and as always, it was very delicious and fun. Today we had a lovely dessert- Eton mess (lemon sorbet with cream and berries). I have a really picky sweet tooth and often find most desserts too boring, heavy or not good enough. This one was one of the best desserts I had in the last 3 years we've been living in London. Don't stop, One-sixty, keep up the great work!
