Not a problem at this East Village café where locally grown produce and artisan ingredients make up dishes like black-bean-and-corn quesadilla with a cherry-tomato salsa. Even the coffee is organic and shade-grown.”
This is such a neighborhood gem. The owner and staff are so friendly and always happy to make recommendations. Food is excellent and there's a really upbeat vibe. Start with the cauliflower pops and save room for one of their delicious desserts!
Delicious food, wonderful service - great experience overall
It was great, first time meeting a friend and the food was on point! Loved everything and I can’t wait to take my mum back with me next time! Gotta try the oysters with waffles next! Thanks a bunch!!
A very down to earth and cozy place. Food was ok. I had waffles and my friend had omelette. She really like hers. I think mine was good. Tasted very clean and healthy, LOL! That's what I expect from organic? I would try again for dinner.
Very hot inside restaurant; nothing special about food and extremely overpriced for little amount of food!
Great Gluten free and organic choices ! Delicious food!
The green machine was delicious. Very flavorful
Great gluten free vegetarian options. Amazing burgers!
Great selection of tasty vegan food and friendly lovely staff.
Wonderful! Would recommend and I plan to return. Food was delicious, service was great, server was knowledgeable and friendly. The star loss for ambience was for some construction going on outside that made the restaurant rather loud—not really their fault.
Another outstanding meal, this coming from a meat lover lol.
Owner and waiter nice
As a non vegan, I still felt like everything was super tasty and satisfying and filling. I had only one complaint which was that fries to me sound like French fries and hey ended up being more like home fries - still tasty though!
Also service was fantastic - even when we were running so late for our reservation!
Fantastic service and very fresh veggie food. Would recommend this restaurant especially to vegetarians.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Cauliflower pops were great!
Excellent vegan restaurant. We put it in the “come back” list!
By far the best Vegetarian/Vegan spot in NYC!
Took a while to be seen by our waiter but he was very courteous and willing to answer any questions we had. Also took a bit longer than expected to get our food but it was awesome! What I assume was the owner was very friendly and happy to have people in the restaurant :) I will definitely be back!
Amazing place! Definitely coming back
I had the cauliflower parm, absolutely amazing!!
Delicious brunch and Matcha cake. Service was awesome. Will go again.
The best burgers in all of NYC!!!!
So many healthy vegan/vegetarian choices
Always a good time
Best vegan food hands down! Owner and staff were super friendly and very attentive. I will be going back here on Tuesday. The vegan cashew cheese was the best I’ve ever had. The cheese is made in house so it’s super fresh. My wife and I had a valentines prefixed meal. Everything was delicious and healthy. When I woke up the next morning I felt energized and light on my feet. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
We went back to order the same dish we had last week. We ordered the identical dish from the menu and it tasted nothing like the week before. It was almost tasteless compared to the last time and the quantity of specific ingredients was changed.
We were disappointed. There was only one server there tonight and things seemed a bit frenetic.
Food was delicious!
Wonderful service, delicious food!
This east village place is as real as it gets. The anti macdonald said.
Funky. Surprisingly tasty. Healthy. And goooood.
They have a way with kale. Love it.
A most unassuming little place. Rustic in a simplistic sort of way. They care about their customers, and prepare their selection of food in a most thoughtful way. This will be one of my many go to places in the East Village.
Very good service. Food very good.
The food was delicious - overall a great experience. Service was not the best, but that didn't diminish the experience. We really enjoyed all of the food we ordered and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dinner.
I've been a regular at the Organic Grill for over ten years. The food is healthy and deliciously
prepared. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. This is my go to place for brunch to meet friends in a charming, unpretentious atmosphere. It feels cozy and no one rushes you so that you can savor your meal. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for organically prepared, wholesome food.
I made a reservation via opentable and when I showed up, the restaurant said they were closed for an event/that they weren't listed on opentable that night. They were very dismissive when I tried to show them my reservation. I understand there was nothing they could do to accommodate me, but I'm disappointed they disagreed with me/said I didn't make a res. They could just have admitted the mistake, that somehow the restaurant was listed (and at 10x points!) even when they weren't free, but instead they told me I was wrong.
I'm a nice gal, have worked in food service and am generally very sympathetic to waiters, but when I make a reservation for a date I expect to be able to eat there OR in dire circumstances be listened to and respectfully turned away. Maybe y'all need to communicate better with opentable.
The green machine burger was amazing
This is a little gem of a place with a great menu for the vegetarian/vegan palate. This is a small, cafe' type place - nothing fancy - but cozy and casual. The burgers and sides we got were delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely recommend this to any vegetarian/vegan who wants a satisfying meal.
The place is small- (cramped and I'm not a large person)menu is fantastic, food is fantastic BUT the kitchen is SLOW and they had only 1 server doing everything. Even though the place is small- this girl needed help. Was no fault of her own but we waited 25 minutes for our food...that's a pretty long wait for a super casual small place. I'd go again but probably for take out. The vegan red velvet cake was heaven! So were the charred brussel sprouts and their famous veggie burger. Loved the food.
Great restaurant. Amazing food. Noisy dish clearing behind counter. Load difficult to hear sometimes when dishes cleared
Wonderful, nice serving staff too. Very helpful and fun.
Good cozy spot for vegetarians, vegans and pescaterians as well as anyone who wants some good food.
Try the tofu omelette. It's really interesting and delicious.
Very welcoming restaurant that makes you feel good! The Green Machine burger is certainly one of the best ones I've had!
It's not cheap, but you gotta pay for good, organic food - so go ahead and do it!
