We had a lovely evening . The staff were very attentive making for a very relaxing evening . The taster menu was special .
Unfortunately the winter terrace was in shambles and not anything like pictured on the website or their instagram. It was a disappointing evening as that was the main reason for us booking the venue
Maybe it doesn't have the commanding views of its new sibling, 14 Hills, but the food is so much better. I had the Tournedos again and the difference was notable. Either side of that the salmon gravlax was beautifully fresh and the cheese board really appealed to my taste buds being predominantly soft cheeses. The main restaurant sits over the Conran shop and is long and slim, so loses a bit of ambience bit it makes conversation easy. Friendly staff and mainly very attentive. For a Tuesday night it was busy so clearly a local favourite. I'd go again.
Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely environment.
We revisited Orrery with friends who had not eaten here before. As usual the food serviette and ambiance were all great. Orrery remains a favourite for elegant dining. We all ate from the a la carte menu and were not disappointed. Highly recommend the Orrery for a sophisticated and civilised evening out.
Lovely food, well served. Nice ambience, though a lot of background noise. First visit. Will be back.
Unfortunately the night we went the service was slow. I dislike having my wine glass constantly topped up which was another issue for me. Food was excellent.
Excellent, as always!! Thank you we very much enjoyed it.
Delightful meal. Small portions but very nice.
Had the tasting menu with wine selection and optional cheese board. Every course very good. The beef Wellington and associated wine outstanding as was the cheese board, 5 star evening to be recommended.
Overall a lovely experience with girl friends. The braised beef is good and chicken tasty. The dessert is slightly on the too sweet side but the coffee balanced it out perfectly. Highly recommended!
Service and food were impeccable
Once again the Orrery delivers. Excellent menu for lunch with a succulent raviolo immersed in wild mushrooms and truffle. The partridge had just the right degree of gaminess. All good!
It was an amazing experience! Very good food, good service! I highly recommend.
Fantástico restaurante con elegancia y unos platos exquisitos. Recomiendo el rissoto de plato principal y la tarta de limón para postre.
El persona es muy amable y trata de hablar el idioma de los comensales.
Great place, cool and sophisticated, for Sunday lunch with friends. Easy location, comfortable, well-spaced tables. We wished the menu had been a little longer as choices were limited but what we had was very good and the hospitality was great.
A hidden gem, with outstanding food and great service. Would recommend to all
Food was tremendous, whether from the atmosphere, service, presentation was reach in its standard and I’m pleased to have a wonderful fine dinning there.
Very odd! We waited at least half an hour in the bar before we could order drinks, there were 6 of us celebrating my daughter’s 21st. Once we had consumed our drinks we were then left waiting to be showed to our table. We asked in the end! Once seated at our table, we asked for the door to the restaurant to be closed as it was very chilly. This was then met with a big sigh by the waiter who was taking our order. My husband and brother in laws chairs were near the waiters station so they were constantly being pushed by them trying to update their iPad system. The waiters then proceeded to chat quite loudly whilst there. Considering we were paying £150 per head this was all a bit annoying!! The food on the other hand though was amazing. Shame the service did not match the same quality.
The third occasion that we have dined at Orrery, it is a very competent restaurant, with a very good menu. The wine list has a good selection of wines across a varied price range. The service is as it should be: considerate, attentive and informed, it is not invasive as it can be in so many restaurants with waiting staff constantly overfilling your glass and interrupting your meal with a barrage of enquiries as to your satisfaction level. The decoration is attractive and the lighting level ideal. All in all Orrery consistently gives the impression of a well run establishment that knows what it is doing and appreciates the reasons why a customer may wish to visit - good food, good wine and served in an environment and by people that understand the dynamic of an enjoyable dining experience.
I have always enjoyed going to Orrery. The service and food are excellent.
Very expensive in evening even with set menu. Better value for lunch. Service not as good as usual
Lovely view even on a wet day
Nice place... good food... excellent service...
Fantastic restaurant! I had a lovely lunch on Sunday (food, service, ambience). However we were sitting close to the entrance and there was a bit of a cold draught
Fabulous as always. Food, service never disappoint.
Excellent service
With special care to pregnant woman
Food was outstanding and amazing
Everything was perfect
And the cheese trolley : no words for it...
we opted for the early dinner offer, which was indeed a great offer! very good food, great service and very nice environment!
The food was exceptional. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The wine was incredible.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be returning again soon!
My favourite London restaurant at present. Wonderful cooking and service.
A very pleasant dinner
Special Place with excellent Service, Cuisine and a great Rooftop!
A hidden Marylebone gem! My friend and I enjoyed drinks on the terrace on likely the very last balmy September evening before heading downstairs for dinner. The Toptable set menu was outstanding, service attentive and considerate and the ambience calm and relaxed. I highly recommend Orrery.
Great food, great service, lovely environment.
I enjoy this restaurant very much. I feel lately that the staff has changed and therefore the training of the new staff is not quite up to standard. The setting , the ambience, the food, the wine is perfect in this restaurant but without the correct training of the staff there will be disappointment. I had a dinner with you during the summer upstairs in the open air and that was when I realised that you had a change of staff and that the training was not quite up to scratch. I just experienced that again the other night.
Simply outstanding!
Lovely, delicious and elegant food wonderful service. The room is light filled and delightful on a sunny day. We had the "Evening Standard" menu offer which was very good value.
The sommelier was one of the most accomplished I have ever spoken with helping us to find a lovely wine within our price range when the one we had chosen was not available. It was excellent, especially as it was something we would not have otherwise tried.
Since it was our wedding anniversary we were moved to a good table next to the windows and given a small chocolate treat at the end. The only flaw was that the lovely peaceful atmosphere was spoiled towards the end of the meal by a wedding party making endless (very loud) speeches. However this is not the fault of Orrery. I would recommend this place to anyone for a special occasion the atmoshere is so joyful and peaceful. This is the third time I have visited over many years and whilst the menu evolves the ambiance, the quality and the service never falters.
Really lovely menu, it was the set choice at £35 pp including a glass of champagne. Really could not fault the food - and the restaurant is bright and airy in a beautiful building.
Food was amazing. Our server was very informative and provided great suggestions when asked. The overall price for a 3 course meal with this quality would be considered cheap. I highly recommend this place
