We look forward to seeing you very soon
Great birthday celebration helped by friendly efficient service and fabulous food and drinks.
The Tasting Menu was absolutely fantastic, beautiful attention to detail and every course was delicious. Excellent customer service and made our anniversary celebration extra special.
First visit and it won't be our last. Exceptional food, well presented, great service, highly recommended.
As good as any one star Michelin I've frequented.
My table was poorly lit, but that's my beef with most restaurants.
A place for special occasions.
Unusual choice of background music.
Definitely better than McDonalds.
Lovely ambience and excellent service for Sunday lunch. The menu had interesting choices, with something for all the party, from wood pigeon to fish. The amuse bouche was tasty and the popcorn a nice touch! The chef was able to accommodate our dietary requirements, which was much appreciated.
Nice restaurant with friendly service.
Food choices were a little limited so we both had sea bass that was excellently cooked and presented,
Faultless from start to finish. Great welcome, food and service were excellent even though it was the first service for one of the watrons you would never have known. Finished off with a round of expresso martinis. Good value and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. We were the last to leave!
Really good food and good staff. We had the full taster menu which was well prepared and presented. A couple of the dishes were a little on the cold side but overall really good.
Great food and great service. Sunday roast was the best I have ever eaten
Had the 5 course taster menu with the wine accompaniment on a Saturday night. 3 normal, 1 no red meat (no big deal). Everything was superb. Honestly couldn’t find fault with any of the dishes or wines. Highly recommend a Orwells though it is expensive - so a real treat. Will be back but going to need to wait another year to afford another taster menu. The three course midweek dinner looks great value.
Incredibly tasty food with interesting flavours. I couldn’t fault the service and the wines on the prestige pairing where excellent, we plan to visit again!
Great food and great service, this was my second visit and I will definitely be back
Our first visit. Ate from the set menu. What a discovery. Exceptional food and service in a nice environment. Can't recommend highly enough.
Orwells is fantastic. The welcome, service and quality of food is top notch. More than just a meal, it's an experience!
Outstanding from start to finish. We had the five course
Excellent food and dining experience as always. Our guests were also impressed and want to return sometime for a special occasion
Great Saturday lunch in the Orwells. The quality and style of the food was fantastic. The complimentary bread and hand churned butter was very well received:-) We were thinking of a 3 course sample menu but we were so full after 2 courses! Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious food! We love going to Orwells as you’re always made welcome, are looked after very well and experience innovative and creative food.
You have to go to this restaurant twice, just to make sure it really was as good as you thought the first time round. Everything about this place, from the service, the amazing bread and hand churned butter and every course was fabulous. The desserts really were as delicious as they were spectacular. The chef, Ryan, was extremely friendly and took his time to tell me how he got such great results with his bread, down to which flour he used. I will definitely be going back. It was my first visit but definitely not my last. Many thanks for such a great experience all round. Belinda
Absolutely stunning cooking and a wonderful setting and vibe. The whole team at Orwell's ooze passion and commitment and it shows in the really amazing and innovative dishes which they roll out. I cannot recommend this place highly enough !!!!
Always amazing food and brilliant friendly service, we dont get to go as often as we would like but when we do its always guaranteed a lovely few hours of indulgence
This restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. Excellent choice for our anniversary celebration.
This would have been a first class meal but service was very slow. We were booked for 7.30 and by 10.30 we were only half way through the tasting menu. We were the last to leave the restaurant. We don’t know why this happened but we were looking at our watches and wondering if we would be out by midnight.
As you would expect, the courses were exquisite and I particularly enjoyed the desserts. Rhubarb and meringue is a great combination.
I would highly recommend this restaurant but hopefully service could be a bit quicker!
As always it was great, really well received and served. The food was just amazing! Have been a few times and will certainly go back again.
Wonderful food, lovely setting. Service fantastic.
We have been a few times and certainly intend to be back soon.
Incredible as always, thanks so much to whole team! Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Amazing tasting menu, beautiful use of the best seasonal ingredients.
Very welcoming, attentive & professional staff. Lovely surroundings and most importantly fabulous food. We have been a few times now for special occasions. I would highly recommend Orwells.
My husband and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at Orwells. It was amazing. Everything was just perfect. The drinks, the service and above all, the food. Just amazing. I’ll definitely go back soon!
Another outstanding dining experience at Orwell's. Great food and excellent service. If you haven't eaten at Orwell's yet I strongly recommend that you do.
Very skilful cooking of meat. The charred vegetables were heavenly. The food was of an excellent quality and the friendly and efficient service made us feel welcome. Prices were suitable for a special occasion rather than every day eating.
My second time here with my eldest son and it was as good as my last trip. I doubt you can better the food or experience the fact they grow lots of the veg and have there own bee hive its a place with its feet and soul in all the right ethical places with style
We went to Orwell’s to celebrate my husband’s birthday and were extremely impressed with the food, service, ambience and attitude towards our 7 month old Grandson (who was provided with a high chair while he had his own lunch.) The restaurant was pleasantly quiet and we felt very comfortable from start to finish. Our daughter- in -law commented that the lamb was the best she had ever tasted (high praise indeed!) We all enjoyed our food and drinks immensely and would definitely return and recommend this wonderful restaurant to others.
Perfect except the gravy was a little salty and a bit odd to charge for extra gravy
We had the tasting menu to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary with some beautiful wine. It was a lovely meal - the potatoes and tomato were delicious. Really high standard, lovely wine waiter who's love for his job was obvious and great ambiance. Will definitely go again and try out the a la carte menu
We had a fantastic night, with great food and wonderful hosts. Highly recommend xx
Everything about this meal was good. Delicious chilled drinks and amuses bouches. Super food. Great service. The setting, with countryside all around, is really beautiful and the restaurant itself has a really nice atmosphere. Expensive, but a real treat.
We had a lovely dining experience at Orwell’s. The food was excellent, in fact the best lamb I have ever had in any restaurant and it was clear that the food was prepared and cooked “with love”. The ambience was very pleasant and the service provided by the host, Arnaud and his team was outstanding. An experience not to be missed.
First time to Orwell’s, really enjoyed it. Cannot fault anything and suggest you give it a try.
One of the best places I have been to for some years beat many Michelin star places into a cocked hat
Great to sit in a perfect cottage garden and look over fields of poopy seed heads a delight
Great background music
Went for the 5 course taster with wine all great would go again in a trice
