Lovely food from choosing our own starters, main was beautiful the beef was so tender. Pudding though! Well if your like me and have a sweet tooth you will very much appreciate the choices you can have! Great meal and not bad for the price either. Only thing I would say that spoilt it a little was that where we got sat there was a big group of people and it was very noisy.
OXBO was a great find set minutes away from the Southbank! Set in the Hilton it was a great atmosphere! Service was on point with a warm and friendly greeting and care and attention taken in seating! Waiting staff were knowledgable and not over pushy. Very efficient. Food was full of flavour and presentation was great! Dishes were hot and cooked well. Had a great evening with a lovely warm ambience and feel very private and cosy ! Exceptional value for the quality of the food would definitely visit again !
Outstanding value for sunday roast, for £29 you get a glass of champagne, an amazing starter buffet, one choice of roast (beef, chicket, fish or vegetarian), and an equally yummy dessert buffet. Very nice setting and efficient service. Didn't expect this from a hotel restaurant, will come back when in the vicinity of Tate Modern!!
First visit was a success and having read some reviews before booking they are all correct in the quality and service and value , will definitely be going again and recommended. If you like your steak there are very good options available. Ambience is very good too.
Another great find near Tate Modern and far enough from Borough Market to not be too touristy.
The food was excellent, first class ingredients cooked really well. The service was friendly but easy to confuse them if you didn't want everything in the right order. Will recommend and look forward to another visist
We were celebrating a birthday and so started in the Distillery Bar - Andy and his mixologist team were brilliant, very friendly and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant next door has a fun decor, menu had good range while portions are significant! Everyone very much enjoyed and while we celebrated, the wine list had some decent budgetary options. Would recommend for both business or social, definitely be going back. Great fun.
A friendly new local, OXBO has really settled itself into the neighborhood. rather than feeling like a big impersonal hotel restaurant, this place feels more like a boutique hotel dining, where people are friendly and warm. Food is generally better in the restaurant than the bar, very good drinks!
this is a big restaurant with lots of tables and prices to match. but the 3-course set menu booked via opentable for 25quid was a decent value I think. overall, the service is what makes this place standout. unusual for a large hotel restaurant, but the staff really aim to please. well worth a visit for a special night out in the neighborhood.
We went on a Friday night to OXBO and had a great evening, the service was spot on, the food was great and good portion size, I had the ribeye and partner had the salmon. The bar next door looks amazing a the gin and tonic to match.
If you are staying at the Hilton or near by you should pay OXBO a visit, even if it's just for a drink.
Took my daughter here for lunch on Saturday. Interesting decor, very large restaurant but unfortunately not many diners. We had the three course special with a glass of Prosecco and enjoyed it all, with some unusual and innovative dishes on the menu.The staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful.
The four course meal was well designed, served wel and very good. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was good, with decent space between tables. A couple of things we were not sure was the speed that the food came to our tables despite a couple of requests to slow it down. It ended up quite a filling meal and therefore not quite romantic. Altogether though, it was worth coming to considering everything.

Headed up by executive chef Paul Bates who creates unique cuisine utilising spices, herbs, garnishes and exotic flavours, using supplies from specialist producers and local traders at neighbouring Borough Market.
Having pre book the 3 course set Menu which included glass of Fizz for £21, I wasn't expecting much from this hotel restaurant..But boy was I surprised!
From the friendly welcome, informative staff to the excellent unobtrusive service this placed surpassed my expectations.
I opted for the duck, chicory and orange salad. This dish was packed with complimentary flavours of citrus balanced by the sweetness of the dates and crispness of the chicory perfectly complimented by the glass of Champagne
Toms starter, Fennel marinated salmon, with mussels and crisp bread look like a work of art and I am reliably informed that it tasted just as amazing.
The main course
We both opted for the Rump of Gloucestershire lamb, onion soubise, Cretan potato, marjoram jus washed down with a Spanish Tempranillo.
Art on the plate perfectly cooked lamb, nice and pink on the inside and melt in the mouth morsels of meat.
"however I found the dish slightly salty for my palette and sadly mine was slight charred on the outside, which meant that every second bite ended with acrid taste of carbon"
We opted for the Caerphilly cheese with quince chutney and wheat wafers.
This simple pairing of cheese and wafers went down a treat.
Great ambience and faultless service the only negative of the evening was the charred exterior of mylamb
Considering we booked a set menu our total spend for the evening was £82,33 for the 2 set menus, 2 sides, and the bottle of wine plus service.
Will I go back, absolutely .This place gets 4 stars
Word of warning read the wine list carefully as the prices quoted at the front are for 500ml and not the bottle
The dishes lack a little finesse, however the OT deal is very good value. Prosecco is nice and food plentiful. I can recommend the colrabi salad with lobster and grapes as a starter. The mains are slightly on the basic side. Still a beautiful restaurant with amazing staff that will ensure you having a great night out.
Restaurant marked us as a no-show, even though we gave our name to the hostess. Corn soup was nice, but could have done without the garnishes - popcorn, corn nuts and baby corn cob. Bread was stale, drink order - a bottle of ginger beer - ordered at the beginning didn't arrive until before entree, had to inquire about it a couple of times. A very large portion of pork belly was served, but left nearly 2/3 uneaten because it was overdone and ate more like pork jerky than pork belly. Server was nice enough to comp some of our sparkling water consumption for the inconvenience.
I left this review for a while in order to reflect as I dont like giving bad reviews.
After taking my team here, I was hoping it would be good as they deserved a good meal. Unfortunately it was marred by the service. It was simply awful. It's sad as there were a coupe of people working there that were very friendly and knew what service was, but there were some that just ruined it.
We ordered steaks of different cooked levels (Rare/Medium/Well Done etc.). When they came to serve the steaks, they started putting them down on the table and didn't care about which steak anyone got (as long as it was the right type of meat). I asked which steaks were which and they didn't know. Afterwards another person came and started to serve the same plates again without knowing which ones were which. Again I said that we needed to know how the steaks had been prepared, the response I got was a dirty look and attitude. After more people came they then started to try and work it out. Then someone came who knew which ones were cooked correctly. Unfortunately not all the meals were correct as some medium rares were cooked more than the mediums.
The service was very slow and trying to find someone to take drinks orders during the meal or ask for the missing sauces for the food, was near impossible. In the end I had to get out of my seat and go and chase.
The food itself was fine but with so much choice in London for somewhere to go, thiis place will not be somewhere I will return to. I didn'tt thing I cared about service so much until I was letting my whole team down.
I suppose if you are dining in smaller groups it will be a better experience. That'll be up to you to decide.
