We had an amazing experience from the service, to the food and even the music played by the pianist. I would highly recommend afternoon tea at the Langham’s. The staff truly go above and beyond to make it a special experience.
My First Afternoon tea experience at age 35 and I was thoroughly impressed staff were top quality the Barman in the cocktail bar was full of knowledge and was very friendly. The only downside to my experience was the drilling during tea but apart from that I enjoyed myself and I will be back!
Excellent service, disappointing afternoon tea....shame! The ambiance is lovely
I went to The Langham about 18 months ago and it was amazing - great food, great atmosphere and great staff. I was disappointed this time. The lady serving us was lovely but there was no ambience (it was half empty) and the food was a bit of a let-down compared to previously. Certainly not worth the price tag. And the champagne by the glass was massively over-priced. Not sure I’d go for afternoon tea there again in the near future.
The food was great. The service was excellent. The jazz music was fantastic, a brilliant evening
While the food and the setting are lovely, the service could not have been worse. The pace of the service was glacial; taking over 3.5 hours before being able to get the attention of a server to ask for the cheque. The staff were inattentive; more unforgivable as the restaurant was more than half empty. As afternoon tea’s go in London, this experience rates as the worst.
Just perfect in every way. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. Will be back.
A very special experience. I took my almost 7 year old for the children’s afternoon tea. She was treated like a princess and absolutely loved the whole experience.
I am so glad I chose to come to the Langham on my latest trip to London. Everything was exquisite and wonderful! They didn’t rush you at all and they paid attention to every detail. It was a beautiful experience and I would definitely come back again.
A very enjoyable afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings
Incredible service, wonderful food and comfortable atmosphere. I went with my 7-year-old daughter and the whole staff made us feel welcome. Thank you for a delicious and memorable experience!
Charming waitress but seated at a table next to the wall, moved on request. Service rather slow the waiters did not pay attention to the state of our tea cups and top up when needed.
Bits of sinew or gristle in my smoked chicken. Desserts unremarkable and small.
Scones very light and good if small.
It took 4 attempts to retrieve all our belongings from the "cloakroom" in the bar area. We could have wished for a better experience overall.
we had the fillet nothing special, although nice atmosphere and service.
We had a lovely experience at High Tea at the Palm! The staff was so friendly and they were very accommodating with our allergies.
Excellent- thanks !
The host/tea concierge we had was terrific / she was very attentive and considerate of allergies and requests.
We booked for the afternoon experience at the Langham for a birthday occasion.
All the staff were excellent and very friendly.
Service was a little slow on occasion and we felt slightly overlooked. Trying to pay at the end took ages.
Only slight disappointment was in how the tea was presented. Although the restaurant had lots of lovely cake stands these were not used. Would have much preferred to have been given the selection of sandwiches and cakes on shared plates, so that we could pick and choose ourselves.
The most perfect afternoon tea in ALL of London!! Wonderful attentive staff, amazing flavour packed sweet treats with 5star luxury throughout.
Stunning venue, polite and friendly staff, who were incredibly keen to please.
The overall experience was super but the waitress did seem to try and hurry us along quite quickly and even cleared some people’s plates whilst others were still eating.
For the price we paid I would not expect this.
Everything else was outstanding.
This was the first time I dined here and it was well worth it. From the decor to the greeting to the delicious hot food which had not been left on the pass to go cold. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend. The only critical feedback I have is make sure the seating had been cleared of the food crumbs of the previous diners. Also for the waiting staff to be a little more tentative so that diners don’t have to ask to have their orders taken. Other than that it was amazing.
A fantastic afternoon tea made even better by the great welcome and wonderful service!
I go to a lot of afternoon teas and this one is probably the best one I have ever been to.
The food is absolutely superb. Beautiful sandwiches on fresh bread. The cakes look sensational and taste amazing and the scones are jam are beautiful.
My daughter who is 7 came with me and her afternoon tea was gorgeous. So much attention to detail.
The service is impeccable and you are offered more sandwiches if you would like.
Absolutely love it at the langham and will definitely be returning very soon
Absolutely lovely evening! Service was fantastic start to finish, the food was excellent and the music was splendid.
Beautiful venue and dining to match. The service is first class from walking into to the moment you leave. The food and fixtures were incredible and even little touches like the pianist playing the frozen songs for the children attending make this a special occasion must.
Given the price point the food disappointed. Service was attentive and the ambience nice (live music, enough space btw tables).
We had such a lovely evening at the restaurant. Great ambience and live jazz. Very romantic, relaxing, and conversation friendly.
Love this place. Only been for afternoon tea three times never dinner and think it's amazing. The room is lovely, the music is fitting and the food was lovely.
I brought the special price of 39pounds and was charged over 69pounds. Very expensive for a tea and I was was very upset-I didn’t want to make a fuss. So I paid-I want a refund for the misleading in the reservation and I’ll never use you again-I was taken to the cleaners.
A wonderful place for afternoon tea. Welcoming staff, not stuffy or pretentious. So much food—and delicious food at that. Plus, after sandwiches, pastries, champagne & scones, they send you home with a mini pistachio cake.
Amazing place with very professional, welcoming staff, very clean and the service overall outstanding, I'm a happy customer and looking forward to coming back and enjoy the delicious food and the lovely live music.
Excellent service, sandwiches were very good, some of the cakes were a little soap tasting. Carpet needs a clean but we thoroughly enjoyed it and will visit again.
Pastries not good
Furniture and fixtures not good. Staines on chairs?
Elegant atmosphere, exquisite delicacies, but extremely overpriced for a place that hires only foreign waiters who are unable to speak proper English.
The deserts were great but the sandwiches not so much
Overpriced, but overall an “ok” experience. Wont be going back
Had a fabulous day everything as expected although having sat next to the piano because I have hearing problems needed to be moved but you did accommodate us very well so thank you for that
Amazing experience from the food ambience and service.
A super experience, our waitress was superb. Highly recommend
