We had the afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday with my husband and my 4 year old daughter. The kids afternoon tea menu was lovely and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches and said the cakes were the best she's ever had! It was also great that they had books that she can borrow to read whilst enjoying the tea. The adult afternoon tea sandwiches were very nice. Had too many sandwiches to properly enjoy the cakes scones that followed. The scones were fresh and soft so I wished I could have had more but I did find the cakes a little too 'complex' in flavour so didn't enjoy it as much as the others. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating but they did seems a little disorganised and at times communication between themselves were not great so we had people asking the same questions or we had to ask again for something we've already asked for. Maybe need more training as a team. Overall we were very happy with our food and the experience and would recommend to anyone.

My family and I enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiter service and they were very attentive without hovering over us. Lovely to hear the piano in the background too.

This is the fifth time I have been - have always recommended to people as best afternoon tea, but really disappointed today. Food not half as good as usual and service so slow - tea not refilled until had asked twice, sat with jam and cream for half an hour but no scones. As service was so slow the children became really bored. won’t be coming or recommending again.

We had an afternoon tea at this restaurant. It's my first time having this in London so I cannot compare with any other hotels. The ambience is definitely perfect. The quality of food and drink are fantastic. However, compared with the price we paid for about 60 pounds per person, it's quite pricey though. With this price, I think they should compliment with a glass of champagne or sparkling wine.

My birthday! Very kind people. Two highly talented musicians were highlighting the ambiance.
Service first class.
My choice for the dish was not the best, but all in all I had a great birthday night!

Remarks:
I didn't think to mention, at the time of booking, that I do not eat chocolate.
It would have been nice to have my chocolate sweets exchanged for non-chocolate sweets.
Further, it would be nice to have the possibility for a second plate of sweets.

This is my 1st afternoon tea experience at the Langham, comparing to Ritz afternoon tea, this venue is so much better in terms of food selection, service and ambience.

One of the best afternoon tea‘s I’ve ever had. Great location, beautiful flower decoration, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing food and tea. Just the noise level is very high, we could hardly speak in a normal voice to each other.

This is a traditional and elegant setting and afternoon tea was lovely but the waitresses / waiters kept getting our orders wrong and they’d run out of a few things to drink and eat! But the place is lovely, I’d go back, but you expect it to be perfect for the price...!

I have been coming here for years for afternoon tea but each year you can see the cuts in the way they do afternoon to save money. We were not offered new tea had to ask. When we asked for a few more cakes they were not overly happy although we hadn’t gone crazy on sandwhichea and there used to be little quiches and other items which are no longer so feels they are trying to stretch the profit margin as far as possible. I think if you were new to afternoon tea at the Langham you wouldn’t notice though, us older timers feel the difference!

Went there for a birthday celebration, we had a deal on opentable which worked out to be fairly decent in value. The food was good and presented delicately. Portion wise is a bit on the small end even though we both had veggie sides each.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Palm Court. We all though the dining room and ambiance was superb and the service was exceptional. The food was good, if not outstanding, but as a whole package we all agreed that we could not fault it and it represented good value.
I would certainly recommend it to others.

I took my best friend here for her birthday gift. For £50pp with the deal it seemed reasonable, however I was disappointed to find that the glass of champagne included in the 'deal' was underfilled by at least half an inch compared to the one we subsequently ordered and paid full price for. When tea is this expensive, even with a deal, that just seems a bit tight in my opinion. Also, I had read this was voted best tea service 2018 so had high hopes, but the service was sluggish and we waited a long time for our tea to arrive - it came way after the sandwiches, and then a waiter brought our cakes before our scones which seemed to have gone missing. It's a lovely room and the food was delicious, but the service really let it down so on that basis I'm not sure I would return. A shame.

The Palm Court is a stunning room to have a lunch or afternoon tea. We found the service to be faultless. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The pianist was a nice touch and we enjoyed the music. The selection of teas was extensive. The only areas that could be looked at for improvement was the food. The sandwiches were delicious and fresh. The scones were cold and the sweet selection was disappointing. The dessert part of afternoon tea needs further thought.
