Absolute pleasure to come again to Palm Court for a family celebration in London. On Saturday nights, there is a jazz duo playing music.
Service was fabulous, accommodating all of the dietary requirements of our party. Food was brilliant, and the whole experience was extremely pleasant. The special menu is also good value. Thank you!

I have already written a review but to repeat, my partner and I enjoyed the afternoon tea very much. The standard of service was high and nothing was too much for any of the staff in attendance and throughout the hotel.

Two minor issues that I raised previously were that the Tea was not hot enough and had to be constantly replenished and also cooled quickly in the lovely china cups.

Lastly, I always feel that once such an occasion is booked for the rates quoted, to slap a surcharge on top at the time of payment, grates! I, like many others, would prefer to Tip on completion in accordance with the service levels.

Had a great time. The staff were accommodating of a birthday and went out of their way. However I am quite disappointed that having paid £62 plus service charge per person we still got charged extra for still water. At that price I’d expect something as normal as a bottle of water would be included in the price. I was also charged extra for swapping one tea for a coffee. They really should review this charging extra.

I loved the Palm Court as it was nicely decorated, full of flowers, clean and spacious. The service was polite, friendly and was always willing to answer to any questions. The tea was really refreshing and tasty as were the sandwiches, scones (plain and with raisins) and the sweets. The even gave us a cake as a gift on our way out.

I celebrated my birthday by endulging in an Afternoon High Tea at the Palm Court in the Langham Hotel. It was utter bliss. If you have the time and the ducketts, I highly recommend this experience. It is sooo choice.

All the finger sandwiches were amazing but I suggest, nay, insist you have extra cucumber sandwiches. They are tried and true and just plain delicious. The standouts are the scones with heart-stopping clotted cream and hand-crafted jam/jelly and the most tender scallop bathed in Dill Beurre Blanc. (Mmm butter.)

The service was extremely tentative. Never invasive. I enjoyed have my every whim tended to by an observant and eager staff. They were like a hive and I was their Queen Bee. I have never experienced service like it before, but I adjusted to it very...very quickly.

Now, let's talk ambience. Decor, setting - all beautiful. Of course. But the music - that gently settles you into your temporary kingdom. It is provided by a live pianist. It is soft and lively.

It's easy to enjoy what people do when they enjoy it themselves. And this pianist does. Not to date myself but, I knew all the music and found myself quietly humming along with the accompaniment. We could've been the next Captain and Tennille. (If only.)

Overall worth every penny...even if it was a lot of pennies.

Just thought it was a wonderful experience with excellent service and a stunning selection of sandwiches, pastries and cakes! We have had Afternoon Tea at other top London hotels and this was clearly the best!

Excellent choice of sandwiches that were able to be refilled if you wished. Then followed by a lovely plate of four different desserts followed by scones with the traditional cream and strawberry jam and also a fig and cinnamon spread which was lovely to try. We weren't able to finish everything but they offered to bag up the leftovers for my mum to take home with her. Excellent pianist playing a selection of tunes and the room itself is beautiful. Service was excellent for the first half and then the woman who had been looking after us came to the end of her shift and we had the impression that we kind of fell between the cracks as we had to keep signalling for everything after that, rather than staff approaching us actively to see what we needed. But overall, a very nice experience.

Wonderful venue and impeccable service. I'd been here before and was excited to come back, and even more so to see that Palm Court is still doing the set menu plus a cocktail for £35 pp. An amazing price - and the menu looked great. However, when we arrived we found out that the set menu had changed so what is available online is not what you will get. Past menus included lobster bisque, burratina, braised lamb and lovely tatins and tarts for dessert. Sadly I can't say that either I or my partner were as excited about the current menu. The vegetarian options were both a little disappointing, but for the price at this venue of course it was all incredible. I think we were just a little spoilt in the past and excited about a menu that we didn't ultimately get but I recognise this is an error on the OpenTable website that needs updating. Overall, still an amazing and memorable evening and we'll be back.

I booked afternoon tea for my girlfriend and I. Originally we in intended it to be just the two of us but after being let down by childcare I contacted the Langham reception and they very kindly offered us a table for 3 with a kids menu. Very happy that they were able to accommodate this request at such short notice. The food was excellent as was the selection of teas. The kids menu was excellent and fun. We very much enjoyed our time here, and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at Palm Court, the food was very good. My only criticism is that the service was inconsistent. We were either left for long periods of time or had staff come over quite often. But I appreciate that it must be difficult. I think having specified tables to wait on may have worked better.
We had quite a few different waiters/waitresses serve us, although I must say they were all excellent.
I look forward to coming back again.

Had high hopes but was a huge disappointment. Service was deplorable!!! Food was adequate, however, the entire experience was stained. Our "tea sommelier" appeared to know about teas, the service started well but it ended badly. He was more interested in gabbing up the tables around us which was perfectly fine, however, he served the scones and NEVER CAME BACK. We sat down at 4:30 and at 6:30 the lights dimmed, tables were set for dinner crowd.... We had to flag someone to pay (124 GBP). Try as they might, they will not come close to service at the Ritz. This could be an isolated incident but why take the chance?! Go elsewhere for your afternoon tea.

A wonderful afternoon tea. Sandwiches were delicious and the scones are the best I’ve eaten!

Although not busy we were limited to the 2 hours but we couldn’t eat another thing and took the pastries home with us.

Would recommend.

A few elements went very right such as the service and the attention to details however, the food options are getting somewhat slimmer this time, few savory finger sandwiches and limited options for sweets and a very questionable olive and lemon poundcake left us wondering about the option provided by the Palm Court at The Langham.

We have been having afternoon tea here quite a number of times, the last time was only two months ago. Before now this was one of the staple for a nice afternoon with friends and the great services that can be guaranteed. Sadly, those days are gone. On the latest occasion we find the clotted cream were left out for too long so it was too dry by the time the scones arrives. We also get a very rushed service. Some tea were spilled (literally.) However, the most disappointing experience would be when one are told one have ten to fifteen minutes left and then the master of the restaurant(?) continued to rush us out. We understand the conditions in bookings, two hours. But they could have offered us to enjoy the bar or move to another table first BEFORE we start complaining. At the end we did not stay because we do not felt welcomed there any longer. So, no, this was not the five stars experience we are accustomed to from The Langham at all.

We had the 3-course deal to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was lovely food and a great deal. There was confusion about one of the deserts we ordered so we were given the wrong one for free. Cocktails were good but would have liked to see the glass more than half full at the price. The service was immaculate and matching the stunning interior.

Enjoyed afternoon tea here. Good choice of sandwiches which were topped up regularly if we had wanted. The scones were light and fluffy and still warm and we had ample jam and cream, again we were offered more if we had wanted. Had to ask for our tea to be refreshed but that was our issue not theirs and they regularly came to top our cups up. Altogether a lovely afternoon.
