Felt neglected by staff, never offered refill on tea or the food. Staff didn't clear our plates and afternoon tea stand was mainly used for us to put our dirty plates on. Didn't feel like a festive afternoon tea especially one for £78 per person no 5 star service
The portion sizes were a lot smaller than previous years and i felt the cake quality and imagination behind the presentation had dipped. It was all quite alot more rushed than normal with everything coming out very quickly so you didn’t have as much time to just relax as previously. Still overall a great afternoon tea but not quite a good as it once was!
Everything was amazing: the atmosphere and decor, the pianist, the service, the food...The Christmas-themed afternoon tea was so yummy
Great experience for special occasion.
I wasn’t very impressed by the Christmas afternoon tea! Compared the price was not so good!
The Christmas Afternoon Tea was the perfect way to start feeling really festive this year! From the decor, to the food, to the attentive service, it had just the right amount of sparkle - thank you to all of The Langham team.
Lovely afternoon tea. Table are nicely spread apart so you don't hear anyone else's conversation. Waitress was friendly but as it got busier it was harder to get her attention. She didn't offer us any refills of the food as they used to. We had to ask for more sandwiches. Overall it was lovely to go afternoon tea as it made things feel a bit more normal.
Highly recommend this restaurant,
Very nice place, delicious food.
Excellent food wine and felt safe
great and lovely experience and highly recommended. I would use again
Fantastic experience. Lovely food and pianist, even played happy bday to my partner on piano without is even requesting. Thank you palm court.
My wife and daughter attended to celebrate my wife's recent birthday - they had a wonderful time and were very well looked after!
We went for the afternoon tea for my Aunt's birthday. They were really kind to have created a little dessert plate and the pianist played happy birthday. We also required a gluten free menu, and they were able to accommodate that. It's wonderful setting and experience for a celebration. There was a Christmas theme to our afternoon tea which was a nice touch. I found the scones quite crumbly, but the rest of the afternoon tea was spot on. Good selection of tea and drinks. The service could have been a bit more attentive, we sat at the table for at least 15-20 mins without any water or our flutes topped up. When we asked they did it straight away, but it's just a minor point that I feel is worth mentioning for the service you would expect.
Everything was fantastic but £13 for a glass of sparkling wine is too much, especially if one person paying the bill for a group of three. But it’s lovely to have, so we wouldn’t not order it with our tea.
This was an awesome place. The food was original, tasty and fresh. There was a live pianist playing soothing Christmas music in an elegant and styled room. The staff were warm, accepting and extremely pleasant. The Christmas decorations were cheerful and prominent but not overly attention-stealing. The atmosphere was perfect for sitting down with someone to enjoy their company while being immersed in a rejuvenating setting. They were very accommodating of our preferences and attendant to our notes of a birthday and a distaste for mayo. Highly recommended.
Had lunch which was very nice, impeccable service.
Covid 19 not withstanding everyone did everything to make it a special lunch
Such a wonderful afternoon tea! The food and environment are spectacular. The pianist was excellent!
As usual, the service was fantastic and the staff warm and welcoming, making it a wonderful visit.
We booked lunch. Afternoon tea menu for kids , Fries for my daughter ;Ceasar salad and drinks. Food and service was outstanding, except my daughter’s mini sandwiches ... I was not expecting ham and bread only; cheese and bread only....however she quickly forgot about that when the desert was served, she enjoyed it. The pianist played Yann Tiersen..... and that made everything PERFECT!
great afternoon tea experience which we enjoyed a lot
Fabulous, from start to finish. Food and service was impeccable. Just loved to pianist!
Wonderful service from Phillipe and his team and it made the night even more enjoyable.
Service was impeccable. I loved the ambience, and dim lighting settings- it exceeded my expectations.
The venue was excellent and the food tasted great, just a shame the food portions were so small. The small size of the scones and cakes made the experience not good value.
The dress code was not enforced as some customers were dressed in sweat shirts.
For the price we expected more.
The food was excellent and the staff extremely attentive in particular our waitress Nina.
A great dining experience as always, have missed eating since lockdown, it’s unfortunate with the 10pm restrictions you cannot enjoy the ambience of the place as much as before, hopefully that will change with time. Overall great food, great service, understandably prices have gone up to cover costs of loss of business as far less tables due to covid restrictions so something to be aware of, however it’s still is a place I would re visit again and again .....
The Palm Court at Langham never disappoints. One of our favourite places. Great food, great surroundings - we'll be back again and again!
Absolutely loved it, staff were friendly, happy to be back and knowledgeable and kean to show their knowledge of there ingredients or types of teas to try. Even the pianist playing 80s sitcom themes and trying to guess what it was, asking the staff if they knew, they were happy to interact
Throughly enjoyed our later celebrated wedding anniversary
It was FAB experince 10/10! Great service ,outstanding decor❤️ bit dissapointed with cheese savouries but rest of the afternoon tea experience is amazing💖 will defenitely go abck again !
A beautifully designed afternoon tea in fantastic surroundings.
Fabulous afternoon tea, in beautiful surroundings.
There was so much food. It may look delicate, but it was vey filling.
They haven't miss a beat from their Covid pause. Food, staff, smiles all in good order. The wine list was a bit lacking, but the value of the wine was exceptional. Food selection and quality as expected. Cheers to another re-opening success.
Took our mum for birthday lunch, it was lovely, Nina the waitress was lovely and service was outstanding.
The food was well portioned and Devine.
We had a nice and quiet evening, nice food and amazing service.
We had an amazing experience from the service, to the food and even the music played by the pianist. I would highly recommend afternoon tea at the Langham’s. The staff truly go above and beyond to make it a special experience.
My First Afternoon tea experience at age 35 and I was thoroughly impressed staff were top quality the Barman in the cocktail bar was full of knowledge and was very friendly. The only downside to my experience was the drilling during tea but apart from that I enjoyed myself and I will be back!
Excellent service, disappointing afternoon tea....shame! The ambiance is lovely
I went to The Langham about 18 months ago and it was amazing - great food, great atmosphere and great staff. I was disappointed this time. The lady serving us was lovely but there was no ambience (it was half empty) and the food was a bit of a let-down compared to previously. Certainly not worth the price tag. And the champagne by the glass was massively over-priced. Not sure I’d go for afternoon tea there again in the near future.
