Pandan Leaf Thai Kitchen

Pandan Leaf is our new favourite! The dumplings and the prawn spring rolls are divine.
Mains were superb - I had a spicy version of Pad Thai with crab meat. My wife had 'Kang Pa' which is also known as Jungle curry. Starters not quite as good as other venues but still very serviceable.
Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Made my friends birthday really good (singing happy birthday to her). Food could have been a bit more tasty, but was overall good.
Great to have such a good quality restaurant localy, great food served quickly.
Best place in north London for Thai food. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed.
Amazing food, full of flavour, reasonably priced and good portion sizes.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous food!
Will most definitely be returning!
Simply the best thai food in the area - service is great too!
Have eaten at Pandan Leaf on several occasions and the food never fails to impress
Excellent Thai food, speedy service and good value.
Gorgeous restaurant that made our anniversary really special. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic
Love this restaurant and go often my only complaint would be is the seating upstairs its very snug and tight bit impersonal but when the food is good what can I say !!
We arrived early and they were very obliging. Knowledge of food options was superb, staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definately be back
We were sitting in the cat-walk area which gives quite a good experience of being in a Thai restaurant. You can feel the climate of the place, service is good, however the food was not outstanding. Overall, good/above average.
I have been twice now, first time in a group of about 13.
Enjoyed the food on that occasion however there is an issue of limited space all the tables and chairs are very close together
Staff serving us initially said we couldn't make separate card payments causing upset this was rectified and accepted in the end.
Second visit was with my husband we were shown a corner table for two which I clearly couldn't get around to sit(and I'm a slim person)
The lady who showed us to our seats stood there offering no solution to the cramped space my options were to exit one door to outside the restaurant and back in through the other to get to the seat or to move the table closer inches away from the other seated
So I moved the table myself
Food was medioka on this occasion and we were sat so close to the couple next to us it was like we were on a double date.
The staff is friendly and efficient. Food is delivered quickly and is very well prepared and presented. Tastes great too. My only gripe, and it is a very minor issue, is that the tables are a bit small to accommodate all the dishes we, as a party of four, ordered to share; we struggled through though. Recommended.
Our first visit and we shall definitely return. Welcoming and smiling service and delicious food.
Tasty food. Warm, nice environment, relaxed ambience. Will go again!
I went to this restaurant on Sunday based on the Google reviews and trip advisor, I was sorely disappointed. And really confused at what the previous customers classed as good Thai ...
For 2 x starters and mains with 1 side and two soft drinks we paid 48 pounds ... The drinks where in tiny glass, and where store bought considering it's not in the west end and the "freshly squeezed juice" was over 2.50 I would have expected for that price to have a real guava
Everything was of extremely basic quality the I ordered a seafood noodle dish which came with a spoonful of tinned crab meat ...
I would not recommend this place at all
I really enjoyed our meal here and would go again as it's very local. The staff were friendly, although they could have been more attentive. My partner and I enjoyed a great pre-dinner cocktail but had to try hard to get a drink with our meal.
The food is very much what you'd expect, but it's cooked to a decent standard. As Thai restaurants go I'd recommend it if you're local to the area, but perhaps not worth travelling a long distance for.
The food was very good. Service is attentive though the waiters look a big lost they do everything they can. Smiley and friendly. They should not prepare take away next to diners though.
Good food , service was a bit erratic ,not all dishes arrived at the same time .
Apart from this I enjoyed the meal and will return .
We had a last minute Mothering Sunday booking and thoroughly enjoyed it. Menu is varied and offers as many attractive choices to adults as well as to children. Clearly labelled where it spicy versus "normal" and certainly when it says spicy it is so. Wonderful flavours, very good ambience and happy attentive waiters.
The restaurant had been set up for tables of two which were a little too close to those next door to us for any privacy however the place was buzzing and the food was very good. I went for the special Pad Thai and it was pretty hot but very good. My partner's was supposed to be hot and it was very hot!
First time for us and we would go again but would like to be seated in a larger space so would enquire first.
We booked a table for two at the Pandan Leaf for a Friday night. The staff were friendly and the service was very good, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the portions were very generous...all of this at a great price! The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 for ambience is because there were no candles and I think they would have made it just that little bit more perfect! <3
Fast becoming our favourite restaurant, 3rd time there. Staff are brilliant, friendly and warm. Strawberry mojito is worth the trip alone and the food is outstanding. Fresh, tasy and generous. We shared a starter, had two mains we struggled to finish and cocktails, which came to just over £34 with service. Not bad for Crouch-end as a nice mid-day week treat.
Pandan Leaf Thai Kitchen is a great place to eat.
A group of eight of us went for lunch, enjoying a mixture of Set Lunch, Quick Sets and a la carte. The Set lunches are perfect for lunch; the right amount of food, with the fun of the starter included. I really enjoyed my fishcake and pad bai kha praw kai. The service was impeccable. Very attentive and very obliging. My colleague likes his food very hot, and on tasting it and fancying it hotter, he requested a bit of chilli sauce or something, and the chef took it back and cooked it hotter for him. The extra mile. The green curries also went down well. We'll definitely be going back again, and there are so many set lunches left to try, I can't wait!
I had not eaten at Pandan Leaf before but am a great fan of Thai food and have tried most Thai restaurants in and around North London and beyond. I know good Thai food and this was excellent. I also liked the fact that the decor is modern (brick and pine) rather than traditional Thai. I will definitely go there again and don't hesitate to recommend it. And if you do go, you have to try the litchi, lime and lemongrass cocktail.
We celebrated a family birthday at Pandan Leaf last week and it was just perfect. It was a little quiet but this doesn't bother us. (It's busier at the weekend). The staff are so lovely and friendly and the cocktails were well made and good value. Everything we ate was delicious - the classic curries are fresh and full of flavour but the dish of the night was the duck in tamarind sauce. It was perfectly cooked with crisp skin and the tangy sauce was excellent. If you are at all local we would highly recommend a visit. It's great value too - we ate like kings for about £25 a head, including wine and service!
