It is a very nice family type restaurant. I can’t give it a normal review because these are not normal times. Under the circumstances, they made every effort to give me a delicious meal, with prompt service.
I would recommend Papazzio to anyone looking for a good Italian meal.
Amazing as always!
Food was delicious and staff and management was amazing and very friendly!!! Drinks was in point too!!
Great food. Felt a bit rushed due to seating at 25 percent capacity. Being that today is Valentine’s day they are trying to seat everyone. My waiter was outstanding.
Dominick and his staff have done a wonderful job with making you feel safe while you eat out during a pandemic. There are plexiglass dividers between tables, and you see the staff cleaning and making sure that all customers are safe. Papazzio is always such a warm welcoming place to go and it was nice to be able to return and see everyone and enjoy their delicious food.
Absolutely delicious food and impeccable service!!! The outdoor dining was wonderful.Heaters throughout kept seating areas nice and toasty.Appetizers were fresh and delish, entress homemade and unlike anywhere else, drinks were sooo good and they do not skimp on the cocktails you get your money worth!!! Yesss you all did that and made my evening. The servers were so sweet and quick and the owner was super attentive and hands on as well. I will certainly be coming back very soon!!
Excellent dining experience. Fresh food(broccoli rabe and sausage and chicken piccata). Great ambience. Service was excellent, as always.
How dinner was absolutely amazing and as always the staff is superb
Great food and service will definitely be back
Great food for a good value. Service was excellent.
My friends and I went to Papazzio for dinner over the weekend and our experience was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Our waitress was polite and on point. The owner came over a few times to ask how everything was going. One of my friends is gluten free and Papazzio menu has so many gluten free options which was great for her. She said she hasn’t been able to have fried calamari in years. She absolutely loved the restaurant.
Great Service, Amazing food. I highly recommend.
Everything was amazing and service was wonderful. Always a treat to go there. Great neighborhood gem!!!!
This was the first time we ate indoors since the pandemic. Pappas zip is one of our favorite restaurants, so it was the perfect place to celebrate indoor dining. They had everything set up for the safest experience for customers and staff I paper menus, well spaced tables and partitions between the tables. The service is always top notch, really friendly and attentive staff. The food, as always was delicious-we had the stuffed lobster, garlic mashed and fillet mignon. The chocolate lava cake was amazing! Can't wait to go back!
As always everyone & everything was great. Wonderful staff and great place in our neighborhood.
The food was amazing! First timer here and I am already booking my next reservation. Staff was super friendly. Owner was awesome. Quick service and great ambiance.
We missed Dominic’s presence and the regular bar tender. My drink was made 2 times and it was horrible. Clearly, the Manager should not be making drinks. The food was good but again, the regular chef was not there. Oh well :(
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. We had a group of eight people and we all enjoyed it.
I was a little disappointed that they charged a $10 cake cutting fee, when the bill was over $250. But overall, very accommodating.
Service was excellent. Wait staff very attentive. Manager came after our meal and asked us how everything was, told him all was great.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Excellent service and food.
Easily one of the best places for a good meal, doubly so if you suffer from Celiac disease.
They have a full separate kitchen just for gluten free meals. I especially love their dip that they offer with regular bread or gluten free bread sticks. It'll make you break the cardinal rule of filling up on snacks before you even get to appetizers.
Their gluten free calamari is amazing for an appetizer. I personally enjoy the gluten free fettuccine con gamberetti e pollo florentine when I go there.
My only regret is that they finally put the gluten free tiramisu on the formal dessert menu. They used to have a mini secret menu if you knew what to ask for lol.
Went there about a year ago and food was great. This time around, food fair at best. They must have changed to cook or something. Ordered spinach, mushroom, shrimp soup - looked great but was very salty. Main course was a spinach pasta dish. Looked great but was very bland. Putting hot peppers in it did not help. Was very disappointed as I was expecting something really tasty from my last experience.
We were greeted right away, warmly and shown a table. When we preferred another table, there was no issue. There were about 5 different people making sure we were attended to, from the gentleman taking our order, to bread and a lovely dip, constant water refills, and clearing of any dishes that were used. Special kudos to one gentleman, who seemed to always be on the spot, reading my mind, as to what I wanted next. All in all, a very nice dining experience.
I have never been disappointed any time I have come to Papazzio.
Great atmosphere, service and food. Loved it! And the live music was a nice added touch.
From the moment we walked in I felt at home. The staff was very welcoming and greeted us with great smiles. We were seated right away and the waiter was very attentive. The drinks were made perfectly and the food was soooooo DELICIOUS. Will definitely visit again soon.
Always the freshest fish and they have great chicken dishes, service is superb. Love this place
Went here for dinner on New Years Day. Food & service were excellent. I have celiac disease and chose this restaurant for there gluten free choices. I was not disappointed. So many choices for anyone who must eat gluten free and just as many choices for those that don’t require gluten free.
Excellent restaurant. Highly recommend
Nice menu choices, good food and great service. Would recommend to family and friends.
We did enjoy our meal and our server was excellent and accommodated to all our replacements for our meal. The only complaint is the price. It's more then Manhattan price.
Another splendid dining experience..
Our ser er Manny was very energetic and clearly focused on his tasks, however he rushed us at first and never even inquired if we wanted a cocktail or wine.
once he settled down he wasist courteous, competent and professionl and his enthusiasm was refreshing.
Thank you Patricia!
Went to hear Alva Anderson sing like an angel so had dinner as well. The service was top notch. Very attentive staff and the charming manager was gracious arriving and departing. I thought it was a little pricey notably a special appetizer which I didn’t find out until the check came. The Caesar salad was of great flavor but had a couple of near frozen cold spots, something they may want to take note of. Overall a pretty place, friendly staff and generally good food.
Great food, amazing service, good location, nice ambiance. Definitely going back!
I don't think I've ever written a bad review on this website but my dinner here was a disaster. I chose this restaurant because the menu has a lot of gluten free options and because is is well reviewed by other dinners. Our waiter was very nice, the restaurant is small but nice and there was a pretty good singer, too. I explained to the waiter that I was on a gluten free diet and he brought me some prepackaged gluten free bread sticks. We enjoyed our mozzarella and tomato appetizer. So, it was a pretty good start. But our main courses were poorly prepared and was not as represented on the menu. I ordered Shrimp scampi over risotto. They brought me Shrimp over simple white rice, the kind of white rice you might get in your $5.99 Chinese takeout lunch special. I pointed this out the waiter, he said he would ask the chef but he did not come back. The manager came over and made up some excuse. She ended up buying us a desert. It was a nice gesture but I was really in the mood for some risotto! Additionally, the sauce in my dish had very little flavor and a gooey texty, it seemed like just cornstarch and water.
My girlfriend wanted steak so I ordered a 10 oz Filet Mignon for her which was $43. They brought her a steak which did not look like filet mignon. Filet Mignon is normally cut crosswise into medallions. This was a solid chunk of meat that looked more like a sirloin steak. She said the meat was dry.
Everything I ate said GF (gluten free) on the menu, including the free dessert. But the next morning, I got a rash that I only get when I eat wheat or gluten.
I cannot explain how this restaurant has a lot of positive reviews. Maybe they changed the chef? Maybe the real chef was off that night and they had a substitute? Maybe the other diners were swayed by getting a free drink or a free dessert. What ever the reason, I recommend staying away from here, especially if you are gluten free. There are many very good restaurants on the same block.
Too noisy. Had to scream across the table.
Awesome restaurant👍🏽, food was awesome, very friendly staff & great band that played beautifully.. i will be back again👍🏽
Papazzio has a wonderful atmosphere - The ambiance is one that represent an authentic Italian restaurant. The food was extremely disappointing. The sauce tasted as if it was right out of a hunts can -
And the bologense meat sauce resembled and tasted more like taco meat poured over potato dumplings.
Very very disappointing to eat at an Italian restaurant that serves fake Italian - Olive Garden may have made a better sauce.
Papazzio is one of my favorite restaurants. We're always treated like family. Their gluten free offerings make it possible for our whole family to enjoy a delicious night out with each other. The service is impeccable and the food is plentiful and delicious. The entire experience is a treat!
At times the music was too loud and interfered with conversation. When softer with a different song the female she was wonderful.
The vegetable encrusted red snapper was excellent but the pasta with it was inedible. I can’t speak for the other guests with me.
