FOOD SERVED WAS COLD AND NOT GOOD AT ALL. WAITERS WERE FRIENDLY. HAD UPSET STOMACH FOR BOTH OF US. DRINK WAS NOT TO THE STANDARD EXPECTED.
Excellent food and service as always the staff can make the moment and they did
We ate early evening (6pm) on a Friday and the restaurant was very quiet. In fact we may have been the only people there and this almost certainly had a positive impact on the service. The staff were attentive and very professional and the food arrived quickly. There were 4 of us eating and all of the dishes we selected were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this venue.
We have eaten at Pappadums several times and had no hesitation in going back in order to introduce friends to the excellent menu. We were not disappointed; indeed we never have been, and would strongly recommend anyone to try this fine restaurant.
One of the best Indian cuisines
The food was delicious and authentic though not cheap. It would be lovely to sit outside in warmer weather.
1.special request for round table-not given, had to ask again given a table that they had to tidy
2.had to wait for chair 10 minutes , served ourselves with cutlery and serviettes
3.had to keep chasing drinks, when they arrived just put notable not served, requested water 4-5 times eventually arrived
4.first courses had to wait 45-60 minutes
5.second course 60-90 minutes some of the food was served tepid not hot
6.obviously not happy at all with the service I had recommended friends to this restaurant, and was very embarrassed
All I can say is the food when served was tasty, and we had to ask for a reduced bill
Will never never go to this restaurant again......
Food was excellent and the ambience was great. One thing I would improve is, starters came really late (even though the restaurant was not full) and were consistently told that beers were run out (surprising) and offered bottled beers which was small, warm and expensive as well. Strange not to stock up beers during christmas time....
The food here is excellent. Great selection, great flavours, highly recommended
We booked a table for a team night out. As the weather was good, we decided to sit outside. While the tables were a bit uneven, they were still set out beautifully. The service was excellent, as we were the only people there (with it being an early dinner), we received excellent service from the 3 waiting staff who looked after us. They were extremely friendly and went the extra mile. The food was excellent as usual. Bigger portions than we were expecting. The dishes were full of flavour. We will definitely be returning.
This was by far the worst restuarant ever. They have waitresses who csnt speak english nor can they take an order.
Took them 30mins to bring drinks and then another 30mins to bring starters. Food is below average, I mean a mix grill in lettuce . Overall would never eat at this place again
Booked Pappadums as I needed a place to eat at 11pm. The staff were very helpful, food was good and tasty. New management meant that hey have new dishes, such masala dosa.
Drinks were very reasonable. 2 course meal for 2 people cost just under £50
I along with my entire family been to this restaurant. Its a very good place to go with entire family, as there is lots of space between tables, and Kids really enjoyed the free space and open place before the restaurant.
Food- overall we Loved starters, main-course is good but for me starters dominated, and main-course didn't live to their expectations.
overall, entire family satisfied.
We waited at least ten minutes for a waiter to take our drinks order. Eventually received some poppadums, with relishes which were on the scarce side for ten diners. We then had to wait another 40 minutes for the food. We arrived at 8.00pm and received our main course at 10.00pm. The table was not cleared of the plates used for the poppadums, we received a bottle of wine with no glasses, the food order was not correct - all in all it was an absolute shambles. This is the second time I have been to this restaurant, the first time was a couple of years ago and again the service was poor. However, at that time the restaurant was really busy so was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.I will certainly not be visiting again!!
