Paragon Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
I love Paragon for breakfast, lunch, a cocktail or dinner and live music. Kid friendly during the day (one of the waitresses is a nanny and helped calm one of our young ones during a family get together and that was above and beyond!). Later the kiddos can go to bed while the grown ups enjoy live music nightly.
My food has been pretty dang good 89% of the time and I often order my same favorites. The craft beers are pricey for some reason here so opt for one of their delicious speciality cocktails or glass of wine.
You get to know the staff, frequent performers and even some of the regulars for a very homey and neighborhood feel.
Did I say, I love this bar?
Three of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday. We had reserved ahead, and our table was waiting for us, which is always a benefit. The brunch menu choices run the gamut from the traditional 2 eggs, meat and toast or breakfast burrito to crab cakes. We also had an order of beignets, which I highly recommend. Service was quick.
A good choice for brunch.
Needed a last minute reservation for a large group and The Paragon was the only place that had availability. I'd never been there so I was taking my chances since I wasn't sure how appropriate it would be for our party of 11. It was perfect. We had a table in the back area which seemed quieter than the front, allowing for conversation. Outstanding food! The portions were right. The waitress was professional, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. We lingered and chatted for quite a while after paying the bill but they didn't rush us out. This is now on my list of favorite restaurants. Just wish I lived in the neighborhood. :-)
We went to Paragon for a ladies brunch to catch up with friends and hopefully have a nice relaxing morning. The staff at Paragon was fantastic! We were there eating and drinking for over 3 hours, and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. The food was great, and I would absolutely go back!
This is a higher-end restaurant with reasonable prices. Took a date out for drinks, hoping to take advantage of their HH, which comes highly recommended. Unfortunately, the bar portion of the restaurant gets crazy busy. But it worked out better, as we were led to the back of the restaurant which had a really nice/romantic look to it. The layout and ambiance is very nice. Although we couldn't take advantage of their HH menu, we still ordered a few items from the full menu that were very good. My only complaint is that they were out of a very nice wine my date wanted, and they instead suggested a Beringer. And if you know anything about wine, you know that any server who recommends Beringer immediately loses their credibility as a server.
I've dined many times here - with just my husband, with a large group of friends, and with kids. Have also come to just the bar many times to see music, come to Paragon events (New Year's, running of bulls, etc). and those are fun too.
The food is excellent - I'm a big fan of the steak salad and the caesar salad is incredible. I also have ordered the burger without a bun and it's quite tasty. My kids love the calamari, my husband raves about the petit fillet.
Service always prompt and friendly. Friendly bartenders. Bar scene lively but not overbearing. Good tunes in the bar later at night and good shows too.
I am a repeat customer and will keep coming back!
From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a smiling hostess, The menu is great and the martinis are just the way I like them!
If you have to have a quick lunch they are great with getting us served and out in a timely manner!
Love the fact that they can open up the huge front windows when the weather is nice and you can enjoy the outdoors without sitting on the 'sidewalk'
After a previous reservation fell through I needed a place to have a late lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. I live in the neighborhood and had not been here yet, so I figured why not.? Fast, friendly, and great food. Server was attentive and personable, made my mom laugh and brought her a birthday dessert. She was pleased and so were we! Thanks again.
My husband I dined at Paragon on a Sunday evening. We were tired after a day of being tourists; the cozy, casual atmosphere was just right for winding down and talking about our day. The best tables by the windows were filled; we chose a cozy booth. My husband's Moscow Mule was good. My cosmopolitan was so-so. The red wines by the glass were quite good. Our server readily offered me tastes of two reds; both were good. My husband's dinner of chili-lime chicken was very tasty. I had a petite sirloin that was tender and flavorful for the price. I enjoyed the asparagus and roasted potatoes that came with the dish. We agreed that our appetizer of rustic bread was awesome!. Pros: tasty food, good value, friendly service, cozy, and casual yet nice. Just the kind of place where we can relax. Cons: Well, for the occasion, I can't think of any. I noticed that they have live music on quite a few nights of the week. That can be a plus or a minus. I'm glad there was no music when we were there, as we wanted to converse.
This was my first night in Seattle, and I had to find a restaurant to accommodate 17 work colleagues (some of which have specific dietary needs). Not only were Paragon able to fit us in, and keep everyone happy, but the food and atmosphere were perfect for our needs. I wold like to give a special mention to the staff who were especially kind and lovely. Great choice, highly recommended.
At first we were put off by the multiple TVs and very high noise level. We sat in aback, away from the TVs, and after a request for them to turn the music down, things got good. The noise level was then comparable to chatting, the food was delicious and our waitress was delightful.
Paragon is a comfortable neighborhood restaurant/bar with a friendly staff and good, solid food. Our salads were huge and fresh, drinks were creative and plentiful. On another night, friends were overwhelmed by the large portion of the "starters" sliders and fries and deemed them delicious.
We left as the Saturday night band was setting up, but will be back another night for more!
We were a large boisterous party and sat in the middle of the room. In spite of that we could carry on conversations with everyone at the table. Our server tried to encourage us to order quickly perhaps because we were a large group but she didn't explain it that way. She forgot some items (but comp'd a glass of wine for doing so) and one entree came out after the others but overall a great evening.
Paragon has great food, definitely better than typical bar food. I had scallops with mashed sweet potatoes & zucchini strings with a nice, red blend to accompany. Yum!!
I made a reservation for 6 and was hoping for a quieter experience but didn't realize that a big game was happening during that time. We enjoyed our outing though! Service was ok--forgot one meal (comped a drink while she waited) and only half of the guest of honor's meal arrived on time. Server did a good job working around those hiccups.
My first visit to the Paragon was on a Saturday evening. I brought a date; we ate early (6PM) on our way to a dance. We asked to be seated in the back section, where it was a little more quiet. I loved the ambience: lots of wood and brick with white tablecloths. Our service was excellent, the food delicious and pricing reasonable. It was a perfect dinner, and we will be back.
Made reservations at the Paragon for dinner the same day. Happily found a table there. When we entered we where greeted by a friendly but not to much so, hostess. Seated quickly. When the waiter came over explained we had tickets to the theatre that night and he said he would keep it in mind. Service was fast and friendly. Managed to get in 3 course and made it to the show perfectly. The food was very good. Not exceptional. The prime rib dip was mouth watering but the Calamari was a bit on the chewy side. Just a bit. I've had plenty worse. What was missing was the traditional aioli. What we got was like a guacamole dip and some sweet chili. The sweet chili wasn't bad but not better the aioli by any means.
Great time Ina nice comfy Queen Anne restaurant that been around awhile. Not the cool place according to some as it use to be. However, good variety of mid-level Seattle cuisine or a Gastropub that won't break the bank. Very friendly staff and acceptable wine list and craft beers. Definitely I will go back.
