First time out after lockdown I couldn't have felt safer and the food was to die for thank you Paris House a very special afternoon I will be back!
This is one of my favorite restaurants the food and service are always excellent and the chefs create an adventure for the pallet.
Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit.
Staff were accommodating, the food was delicious and definitely an experience.
Looking forward to the restaurant re-opening
A great lunch in a great location.
This is a fabulous venue and restaurant. Location gorgeous. The service was top notch, friendly without being overpowering. The sommelier was great, informative, down to earth and not patronising.
My only negative is that some guests believe that just because this a "high end" venue they can be snobbish and conceited. We had an instance over a mobile phone conversation that we needed to take in an emergency. However, the staff handled it perfectly. Definitely recommended.
Service was not good enough for this price bracket.
Welcoming was not on point. It was like the attention was not on us. Jackets were not collected of us on arrival, Tables were to close together and felt like a Gastropub experience. Female waiter was reeling off the the dishes as if it was a generation game, no passion to the food just get through the list of what was on the plate. 3 of the courses tasted wrong. Very bitter taste from a salad garnish that overwhelmed the other delicate flavors, another dish overwhelming with cumin rather than tones and the mint flavor in another dish was like eating raw mint leaves. Grape seeds in the muscatel grape for both of us.
I had to ask for our wine to be topped up. glass was left for 10 mins empty and then after i complained it was kept topped up.
Ironically, the only thing i said wow! to was the bread and mar-mite butter. Everything else was alright. in my opinion for this money, everything should be WOW!
We visited Paris House for a special birthday celebration before the lockdown occurred. We hadn't visited for a number of years but weren't disappointed to find that the quality of food, wine and service was as excellent as we'd previously remembered. Howie, the Sommelier, was so full of knowledge about the wines that were paired with the food, and took time to explain about them and share his passion for wine. If you are looking for a special place to visit for a delicious and unique food then this is the place to go. It isn't cheap, but is very exclusive. We would highly recommend.
In my past experience at other venues this was not the best for the cost and having to pay extra for a second pot of tea leaves me a bit disappointed my wife who loves going to different afternoon teas also was displeased as it was her birthday it was a bit of a let down
We have visited Paris House previously and always been impressed by the service. We were disappointed to see that they have now changed the bar/lounge area to just more tables which means there is now no where for drinks before you are seated at your table or to have coffee afterwards. This really does take away from the experience.
I’ve been to Paris house before, but it’s been quite a while, so I thought it was time to go again. The restaurant had been refurbished since I last went, and has been done very tastefully. The service was prompt, polite and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We didn’t go for the taster menu, but as we plan on going again later this month, we decided we’d have it then. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and the restaurant deserves top marks.
Food was exquisite. A Wonderful fusion of flavours.
Had a 6 course tasting menu for lunch as a birthday celebration. The service, ambience and food were excellent. The food was so tasty and beautifully presented.
Highly recommend, lovely atmosphere staff amazing.
We went to Paris House for our anniversary. The restaurant is a beautiful building in lovely grounds and has a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere. We had the 8 course taster menu and the food was amazing. The way they paired different foods together made each dish a surprise. My favorite was the scallops and the pigeon. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. To top it off my Partner proposed outside in the garden so we'll definitely come back again.
Venue is lively and as ever staff were brilliant. Whilst I excellent food prices match. It’s not a cheap experience! #firstworldproblem
Pretty average for a £400 meal. Service was so, so. Wine sommelier was pretty good, but just didn’t wow me. Food was good but again for £400 it should be. No compliants but was looking for an extra sparkle.
Excellent all round! The setting is gorgeous. A really good quality fine dining experience. Our sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious. The rest of the staff were all very attentive. The food was fabulous. We had the vegan tasting course and were very impressed.
We had a lovely meal and a lovely evening- the food was fantastic - really imaginative and delicious and generally very well cooked - the seasoning was not quite right in a couple of dishes and there was too much dessicated coconut in one of the desserts - but I accept this is a personal preference. It was expensive though!!
You must try the non-alcoholic Gin.
We have ordered our own supply for home.
Excellent food & service.
It is pricey but lots of effort goes into making these dishes.
The only thing disappointing was the lack of atmosphere. All other tables were talking quietly which makes it quite awkward.
5th time, and can confidently say one of the best visits i've done. In particular the sommelier was fantastic.
Its seen a significant price rise and the lack of a 4 glass wine flight. Which definitely pushed the price, also the service at start was bit slow, that saw the rest of the courses rushed to be done for closing at lunch.
The food and service were perfect. I visit Paris House once or twice a year and this was one of if not the best meal I have had there. 8 course tasting menu with good variety of dishes. The Venison with blackberry etc was my favourite but cod with black garlic also superb. Not cheap but worth it for a top notch meal.
What a wonderful place. Set in beautiful grounds and in a stunning building, the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed and the food and wine first class. We made the most of it and had the vegetarian and wine tasting menu (8 courses). We loved every second of the experience and will be back for me before long.
Amazing food and very friendly staff.
Very informative about each dish and accompanying wine selections
Fantastic 6 course meal with wine to match.
The standard of cookery was average and was not representative of the price point.
Amazing meal. Awesome venue and great staff. Would highly recommend Paris House
Delightful experience. Food interesting and beautifully presented. Staff attentive and well informed. Such a treat.
Amazing lunch for my husband's birthday with friends. We were looked after so well from beginning to end and the food was wonderful.
We had a very good time and the food was great.
Everything was amazing from start to finish. Didn’t disappoint. The 6 course tasting menu wasn’t just imaginative and creative, it also tasted fantastic. Wine also top notch. Reassuringly expensive! To top it all off my partner of 7 years proposed to me!! #engaged
We visited two days ago for the first time. The staff and atmosphere was amazing! The food was beautiful presented and tasted so good. Very special and unique place. Would highly recommend! 👌
Lovely food but the 2 male waiters who first served us were so quiet and mumbling we could barely hear them. They livened up throughout the night but it made the first part of the evening really weird and awkward. I also didn’t like that they didn’t serve the cocktails and wine menu together, as I wanted to look at both but they kept taking one away so I had to ask for them all back again so I could choose. Overall the food was amazing and this is what would draw us back.
Paris House is a wonderful dining experience. The staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere of this beautiful setting is relaxed and welcoming. A real gastronomic treat and we will definitely visit again
Lovely building in lovely surroundings, somewhat let down by the interior . Somehow the modern interior doesn’t match up to exterior. Not enough contrast, maybe.
Food was good, flavours excellent as was service, particularly the wine waiter. However, this is not a cheap restaurant and should have come away feeling it was a memorable meal.
2 of us dined. Food, drink and everything else was great. Had 8 course tasting menu with wine flight 1 cocktail each to start and coffee afterwards. Bill was £450!
Prices appear to have gone up recently. I ate here in Nov, and it was less than £800 for 4! It just smarts a little! Not sure if I will be coming back...
Lived up to our expectations. Delicious food and very attentive/friendly/polite staff. Would have liked a wider choice of meat dishes such as beef, lamb or pork instead of all the game dishes! Needless to say we chose the veggie and fish options which were still delicious. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would return again. Thank you.
We have been many times. The food is excellent.
This last visit , we felt we had to wait too long before we got anything to eat ( inc. bread) . Once the food started coming it came at timely intervals.
Well worth the money for a special occasion. Beautiful food served in tranquil surroundings by attentive staff.
Would definitely recommend the vegetarian menu!
Great experience, the food was great and two of us went for the wine pairing as well, which worked brilliantly.
Can’t believe it doesn’t have a Mitchell star!!
