Great service! Will revisit.
Great staff and very enjoyable meal, we look forward to returning soon
We had booked a pre-theatre dinner, were greeted well and served reasonably promptly. However, there was such a very long delay between the starters and the mains that those of us who were attending the theatre (actually, Last Night of the Proms!) had to bolt down what we could and run, without any chance for a third course or enjoying a 'nice eating experience'. This was surprising, given that the menu was carefully limited and the importance of deadlines for a pre-theatre dinner are well known. Which was a real shame, as the quality of the food was great, the waiting staff were all charming and attentive, the atmosphere was really nice and the value exceptionally good. I am quite sure this restaurant does much better usually, and I shall take this experience as an out-of-the-ordinary glitch. You are forgiven, and we will be back, I hope!
Absolutely lovely food and great service. They went out of their way to make sure the birthday celebration were special with a free drink each and happy birthday written in chocolate with a candle as well! I would definitely go back here!
Top marks in every respect; discreet and friendly service, top quality, delicious food imaginatively presented; decently priced wine; wonderful ambience overlooking Kensington Gardens. Their lunch menu/prices is the best value for money in Kensington. A place one can go with either a dear friend or business colleague and be able to have a decent conversation without either being overheard or hurried over one's meal. Fantastic. Only quibble was our waitress who, though an absolute darling and incredibly attentive etc. yet needs to be taught how to pour bubbly wine properly. She almost missed my glass once, nearly pouring on the table-cloth, and a second time over-poured both our glasses. But this is a quibble and easily remedied. Otherwise, just perfect.
The restaurant was a lovely place for a family Sunday lunch. Good variety of food, vegetarian options were interesting.
We could not have been more pleased. Our first visit, it will not be our last. On our way to the Proms, so early dining was essential. We were treated with utmost respect by all the staff.
The food was delicious, especially the steak and the pecan treacle cake.
The wine was excellent, right temperature and beautifully served.
Congratulations to the staff and Marco in particular.
It is rare to find such quiet, efficient "old fashioned" service nowadays.
Great food and service! Lovely views of Kensington Garden. Excellent value for money. Go there often and never been disappointed.
Fantastic food & service as always!
My wife and I dined in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening during the last week of August 2019. We were amongst the few who dined that evening and our table had a wonderful view overlooking Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens. The set menu was multi choice, most of which was tempting to eat and we were not disappointed when it arrived at our table. Overall our three courses were well presented and a pleasure to eat. The service was attentive but not overbearing, although we did enjoy our wines carefully decanted and poured we thought that the wine list was slightly overpriced.
Excellent Sunday roast with superior service
I was entertaining my two granddaughters, so the occasion was very special to me. I have been coming to the Royal Garden Hotel, and particularly to the Park Terrace Restaurant, for very many years now, and this visit to you was as always - excellent. Our server, Gabor, was superb, professionally correct, and friendly, a credit to the Hotel. The food needless to say, was delightful, and the whole experience - perfect. Thank you yet again, Royal Garden Hotel.
Lovely venue overlooking Kensington gardens. Staff were attentive and the food was good value for the Sunday lunch set menu with a good choice. Went for a stroll through gardens after lunch. Highly recommend, will come again
Lovely three course evening meal, thoroughly enjoyed the food. Staff were delightful too. Very good experience.
Excellent pretheatre menu.
Though they rather rushed us thru the meal
as usual he experience was very good. unfortunately one person had their bag stolen whilst in the restaurant by another guest, so this rather altered the enjoyment.
The service was attentive and friendly. There were no issues with regards to catering for vegans which is always a good sign and the food was very good.
My husband and I had travelled from Kent on one of the hottest days of the year! We received a friendly welcome and wonderful service. The quiet, cool ambience of the restaurant was just what we needed!
The pre theatre menu was delicious especially the salmon and the steak. After the meal we felt relaxed and ready to enjoy our Prom concert at the Albert Hall. We will definitely be back next time we are in Kensington!
This was my and my wife's 7th visit to Park Terrace restaurant. The food and service have both been excellent on each occasion. This latest visit certainly won't be our last.
We were unable to get a hot cup of Tea.The menu listed various cakes and tarts however you were given one of each to be shared by two people.
Excellent food, and good value at lunchtime. Pleasant atmosphere and good service
I had a Ssturday dinner and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end.
Service is superb-very attentive but not overbearing. We opted for the 2 course lunch and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The price was fair for the quality of the food and ambiance
Consistently great food and so overly to have so much to choose from on the set menu
Excellent ambience with a superb view of Kensington Gardens. The staff were outstanding. We were celebrating the birthday of the daughter of a friend and they produced a small birthday cake complete with a candle. I had roast beef carved at the table. It was delicious Buccleuch beef and you could if you wish enjoy medium rare. A homely restaurant where you can be both relaxed and smart.
Our go to restaurant when visiting London for birthdays or anniversaries
Perfect service amazing gastronomy
The view of Kensington Gardens was not as good as described. Menu was good but duck was raw. Some other dishes were good
Lovely place where the amazing Chef creates his Creatures which are very simple, on a first glance, but appears to be a real samples of haute cuisine.
I have been in Park Terrace Restaurant for a business dinner with two gentlemen. The ambiance was perfect for conversations. The food was delicious and very well served. The wine was of very good quality. It was a very nice evening.
This restaurant is situated in the hotel right along side Kensington Gardens so with the sun shining on Easter Sunday it was a great place to be
The menu was varied for a Sunday Lunch with two types of fish and vegetarian option along side the obligatory roasts
Desserts were delicious and all served by the most attentive and friendly staff
This must be my favourite London hotel !!
Have been many times. Love the ambience, the view. Good service. The peaceful atmosphere. Food, however, has got steadily worse. We always make the mistake of choosing the menu du jour. This time, my soup was fine. Appreciated the croutons and always enjoy the bread. But the main course was utterly boring and tasteless. A lump of boiled cod on a thin coating of spinach with two potato croquettes which didn't have any flavour. They're miserable servings too. More like hors d'oeuvres than main dishes. Suggest you cancel the special cheap menu because it isn't doing you any favours. In the future we'll choose something from a la carte. It will cost more, of course, but, hopefully, will be better, much better than the awful menu du jour.
We are regulars here, but first time on a Sunday
Without doubt the best value food and service in london
The restaurant was not ready when we arrived so we sat in the bar reviewing the menu choices. We were then forgotten and surprised to see other arrivals being seated in the dining room. We asked if we could be seated and fortunately the bar person led us to a table in the window. The staff were very pleasant but we had to ask what the daily specials were, they did not appear to know much about the menu. When the food arrived it was excellent. I imagine it was a difficult day after a busy week and key experienced staff had the day off.
Had the set lunch, which is good and reasonable value apart from the coffee which is grotesquely overpriced - £5.50 for a double espresso.
Service fantastic, food tasty but fish unseasoned and a little over cooked.
It has to be as good a pl;ace as one would find at this sort of price. Lunch for 3 courses at £22.50 of this quality, with this service, would be hard to find any where else. I will go again for sure..
Take this as a very strong recommendation
Park Terrace always delivers tasty food in a lovely setting with good service.
Very good - nice attentive staff spacious seating excellent food
I have been coming to this restaurant for some 20 years but have to say the food and service gas deteriorated. It is however a good meeting place when attending the Royal Albert Hall.
Excellente cuisine dans un cadre de belle qualité, cette soirée fut très agréable.
