This was my and my wife's 7th visit to Park Terrace restaurant. The food and service have both been excellent on each occasion. This latest visit certainly won't be our last.
We were unable to get a hot cup of Tea.The menu listed various cakes and tarts however you were given one of each to be shared by two people.
Excellent food, and good value at lunchtime. Pleasant atmosphere and good service
I had a Ssturday dinner and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end.
Service is superb-very attentive but not overbearing. We opted for the 2 course lunch and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The price was fair for the quality of the food and ambiance
Consistently great food and so overly to have so much to choose from on the set menu
Excellent ambience with a superb view of Kensington Gardens. The staff were outstanding. We were celebrating the birthday of the daughter of a friend and they produced a small birthday cake complete with a candle. I had roast beef carved at the table. It was delicious Buccleuch beef and you could if you wish enjoy medium rare. A homely restaurant where you can be both relaxed and smart.
Our go to restaurant when visiting London for birthdays or anniversaries
Perfect service amazing gastronomy
The view of Kensington Gardens was not as good as described. Menu was good but duck was raw. Some other dishes were good
Lovely place where the amazing Chef creates his Creatures which are very simple, on a first glance, but appears to be a real samples of haute cuisine.
I have been in Park Terrace Restaurant for a business dinner with two gentlemen. The ambiance was perfect for conversations. The food was delicious and very well served. The wine was of very good quality. It was a very nice evening.
This restaurant is situated in the hotel right along side Kensington Gardens so with the sun shining on Easter Sunday it was a great place to be
The menu was varied for a Sunday Lunch with two types of fish and vegetarian option along side the obligatory roasts
Desserts were delicious and all served by the most attentive and friendly staff
This must be my favourite London hotel !!
Have been many times. Love the ambience, the view. Good service. The peaceful atmosphere. Food, however, has got steadily worse. We always make the mistake of choosing the menu du jour. This time, my soup was fine. Appreciated the croutons and always enjoy the bread. But the main course was utterly boring and tasteless. A lump of boiled cod on a thin coating of spinach with two potato croquettes which didn't have any flavour. They're miserable servings too. More like hors d'oeuvres than main dishes. Suggest you cancel the special cheap menu because it isn't doing you any favours. In the future we'll choose something from a la carte. It will cost more, of course, but, hopefully, will be better, much better than the awful menu du jour.
We are regulars here, but first time on a Sunday
Without doubt the best value food and service in london
The restaurant was not ready when we arrived so we sat in the bar reviewing the menu choices. We were then forgotten and surprised to see other arrivals being seated in the dining room. We asked if we could be seated and fortunately the bar person led us to a table in the window. The staff were very pleasant but we had to ask what the daily specials were, they did not appear to know much about the menu. When the food arrived it was excellent. I imagine it was a difficult day after a busy week and key experienced staff had the day off.
Had the set lunch, which is good and reasonable value apart from the coffee which is grotesquely overpriced - £5.50 for a double espresso.
Service fantastic, food tasty but fish unseasoned and a little over cooked.
It has to be as good a pl;ace as one would find at this sort of price. Lunch for 3 courses at £22.50 of this quality, with this service, would be hard to find any where else. I will go again for sure..
Take this as a very strong recommendation
Park Terrace always delivers tasty food in a lovely setting with good service.
Very good - nice attentive staff spacious seating excellent food
I have been coming to this restaurant for some 20 years but have to say the food and service gas deteriorated. It is however a good meeting place when attending the Royal Albert Hall.
Excellente cuisine dans un cadre de belle qualité, cette soirée fut très agréable.
wonderful time at the restaurant and food was superb.Staff were so attentive, without being pushy. The overall experience was fantastic and in addition , the wonderful young Spanish lady , working at the desk , managed to find my mobile phone, attempted to contact me in the Albert Hall without success. However when collecting the phone , she was so apologetic and tried to help us in everyway.
We will definitely be back. Well Done
Thouroughly enjoyed our afternoon luncheon. Staff were most attentive and nothing was too much trouble. An excellent experience thoroughly recommend this venue
Like most London restaurants, it is quite expensive for what it is and could do with some refurbishment. However, we loved the fact that there was no background music and that the tables were far enough apart to have a comfortable level of conversation without being drowned by the noise from other tables. The food was good, but with the usual minute portions that are currently fashionable.
The Park Terrace is one of the best value for money restaurants in London. It's quiet, will excellent food and good service.
Lunch was well presented and very tasty; we were not disappointed. The chef’s / sommelier’s recommended wine had run out which was a shame. Overall we had a lovely time.
I had a very pleasant lunch at Park Terrace with a friend. The food was of a high quality and the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is comfortable and very relaxing. We both found it to be good value for money. I will certainly return.
Riesling was lovely and the service was ok but don’t go here if you’re a vegetarian or don’t like fish. I found two hairs in my risotto and the server acknowledged that it wasn’t the first time hairs had been reported but there was no offer of another dish or discount even so I filled up on bread and wine! There’s about 6 things on the menu, 4 fish, 1 meat and 1 mushroom - not really acceptable in 2019!!
The menu is varied and a reasonable price. The tables are far enough apart for privacy and the service is always good.
Brilliant lunch. Six friends booked to go for lunch following a tour of Kensington Palace. We were absolutely delighted by the service, menu, staff and surroundings. Would definitely recommend the Park Terrace.
Thank you for an unforgettable experience
We usually go for dinner but this was our first visit for lunch. Not quite on a par with dinner menu for choice and quality of cuisine but nonetheless great value for money and thoroughly enjoyable.
Consistently good food, and very good value. Service slightly spoiled by constant enquiries about whether we were satisfied! Slightly gloomy ambience.
Our son lives in Dubai (and rarely eats at home) but was here on a visit and wanted a traditional Sunday lunch - he and we all thought it was excellent.
A very well planned menu with great flavours with good wine pairings. Service was very good and smooth. Ambience is nice but a bit on the quiet side therefore recommend this restaurant for business meetings, romantic dinners, etc.
Service and ambience was excellent, as was the food.
We booked for a birthday treat for me. The place was nice in a 70s laid back way and the service was good, but had obviously been better in the past. The food was delicious, but unambitious and under generous in portion size for the price.
We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch overlooking the park. The restaurant was relaxed and made for a very enjoyable meal.
Superb food and very attentive serving staff ensured the visit was memorable.
Waiter from Puglia was lovely food great very pleasant evening
I took friends to see Kensington palace and was looking for a place to have. Was pleasantly surprised about the delicious meal and excellent service we had here.
