Not sure I like the new location and room, quite industrial and smaller. The terrace is bigger which helps during the current situation! However the food and service were excelent and the covid precautions making it a pleasant experience
Great wine, lovely food and giving circumstances a very well run restaurant
The restaurant may have moved down the road but the food and service is still bang on. Special thanks to Hannah and the team for the great welcome and service.
Its no where as good as the old restaurant and the food was cold
But the cocktails was very nice and still using the old photos of the old restaurant on the web page its lot smaller and first dates don't use this place anymore
Food and service was amazing - Covid regs were really good. Cant fault this place - went with my extended bubble as a single person living alone- most table were in two's, and very very well spaced out. It was my 50th and they made a very odd time extra special. thanks so so much ..
My Sister is a big fan of the tv programme ‘First Dates’ so we chose the restaurant to celebrate her birthday as this is where it is filmed.
Food is very good, fantastic service and they made a real fuss of my Sister.
Delicious food, excellent service
A great place to dine
The restaurant is closing and it really showed! Food was reasonable but unfortunately everything else was a real disappointment. Certainly not like the First Dates restaurant! It was my wife’s 50th birthday and unfortunately it fell well short of expectations!
Didn’t help that we had eaten at the Asia Ivy earlier in the week which was brilliant!
The food was very tasty and very good value. Staff friendly and attentive
Lovely restaurant, perfect for a special occasion given it’s a little more expensive. Complimentary dessert saying “happy anniversary” would a brilliant touch.
Had a birthday dinner celebration here, and what a treat it was, from the delicious snacks all the way through to the desert.
Service was great, and the birthday surprise was fantastic.
Definitely would go back again.
Food was lovely and service pleasant. It was very quiet and there was no real ambience in the restaurant which was a shame!
Relaxed brunch, buzzing atmosphere. Value for money on the unlimited bubbles!
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Managed to get a last minute table and really well accommodated for. Busier than expected for COVID measures but still felt reasonably safe. Food was divine and the staff were lovely.
Took a friend and we had a enjoyable evening . staff were polite and helpful. Had the steak which was excellent. i would defo recommend the house Red too. i will revisit in the spring.
Due to covid the meal is rushed. Book earlier than 8pm.
Staff were lovely
Went for a birthday/date thing. Nice food and atmosphere.
I can’t fault the service, every member of staff was outstanding. I just felt the porterhouse was on the average side, a little cool and slightly tough. Maybe I’m just getting old, but didn’t come away thinking that was outstanding value overall either.
Lunch booking and didn't seem too busy. Sat outside, prompt, friendly service. Starter was great. Then we waited and waited and waited. Server came over after about 30 minutes and said mains were nearly ready, and gave us a glass of complimentary wine by way of apology, but it was still another 10 minutes. Chicken Kiev finally arrived soggy, partly burned, and really disappointing. Poor experience, especially given the cost.
It was a super day so we were able to sit outside and it was glorious. Lovely food and service highly recommended
i guys,
Unfortunately for me I was served a well overdone steak by a moody gentlemen when I requested it medium rare. He took the excitement and the whopping price tag of 95 pounds from me with service charge included I kindly let go.
I work round the corner and thought I was in for a treat but sadly me and my guest were left unsatisfied , drinks etc staff are great. Will attend for usual drinks!
Regards.
Went for Sunday roast. Sides were great. Brilliant Yorkshire puddings. Lamb was very fatty and chewy-not the greatest.
Had a fantastic day in London, followed by the best experience at Paternoster Chop House. Such good food and service.
Excellent service. The right amount of banter to make it fun. An excellent steak and Truffled butter that made Keto manageable. The terrace was lovely in the sun.
Great food and location. They are working quiet slow to ensure there is minimal contact with guests which unfortunately has you waiting a long but the food all arrived hot. Steak was slightly undercooked for medium but the flavours were amazing! Set menu was very poor but ordered from the standard menu for a little but more.
Really great vibrant location attentive and friendly staff but most importantly great tasting steak
I was there with my husband. We, in particular, did not liked the food. I mean it is okay but nothing especial. I also have to precise that it was the ''eat out'' last day and it was very busy, maybe that is why. Even so, it should not be the case.
A part that the service was impeccable, the waitress was very nice and talkative.
But I wont return there, sorry
Food was so so. Honestly, if you're not ordering the steak, don't bother. Steak is tasty, fish cakes, fish n chips was ok, but not worth the money, even with the discount.
Very much enjoyed our family visit to Paternoster Chop House and enjoyed the "Eat out to help out" menu . Great service - thanks.
Came down from Glasgow having booked this restaurant day before. Absolutely loved it from the location to the food , service was excellent even though it was really busy our food arrived quickly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again.
Overpriced even with a discount. Only popular due to filming there of First Dates. We won’t be returning.
Great night would definitely recommend, food and service was all fantastic
Was nothing like what you expect on the tv . Not a place you go as a couple . We was made to felt like our custom was not wanted . Poor service we had to ask for our drinks and ask for our food as tge waitresses walked past . Noise level was so loud we went around 5.30 and it was so dark in there. Weatherspoons is more quite than this restaurant dont waste your time.
All amazing can’t fault it :)
Food service cocktails all amazing.
Arrived when it was quiet. Was seated very quickly our waiter was lovely and made sure we have everything we needed! Would recommend! Will be returning
Poor service but food was good
Very nice food and good service
Good location too
Pleasantly surprised, the food was excellent!
The steak had an amazing chargrilled flavour that we loved, I got the lamb and it was delicious, full of flavour.
We were very impressed by the food, plus lovely service and cute anniversary message that was written on our desert.
Also, the pink lady cocktail is now my favourite cocktail!!
Absolutely excellent, such a great night for my husband’s birthday. Amazing food and great service from all. Thank you
Great steaks, great pork chop, lovely people. All too often a steak can be below par. It most certainly was not the case here. Cooked to perfection - blackened on the outside juicy in the middle.
Chips were great too as was the tomato salad. Mushrooms were the only let down. Eaton Mess for desert was also great. Lastly it felt very clean and safe in these weird times we live in.
