Paulette's Restaurant at the River Inn of Harbor Town
Paulette's, which has been operating successfully in Memphis for 42 years, recently moved its popular, award winning operation to the River Inn. It has been described by one reviewer as "A Memphis institution and for a very good reason". Paulette's is serving the same soups, salads, and entrees that have made it so well known throughout the mid-south for many years. The restaurant has always been famous for its desserts and hot popovers with strawberry butter. Paulette's has a distinct warmth, charm and ambiance that is unsurpassed in the city. Restaurant polls have annually recognized Paulette's as Memphis" "Most Romantic" and for it's cuisine - "Best Continental".

Sunday breakfast - always a pleasant treat at Paulette’s. Excellent service and food.
Food and service were delicious. Staff were wearing masks and gloves and took care to seat tables at safe distances. It was our first outing since the pandemic and it’s nice to know that we can go out for a special occasion and feel that restaurants are being careful to follow the rules.
The customer service and food was superb! The atmosphere was fantastic! We had dinner on Friday night and breakfast the following morning and the dining experience was wonderful each time.
My husband and I split the lump crabmeat appetizer. It was exceptional and true lump crabmeat.
We also split the Bel-Air Salad: mixed greens, sun-dried cherries, oranges, Walnuts, Goat Cheese, Orange Balsamic Vinaigrette.
And last, but not least, we both ordered the Redfish, with mushrooms, crabmeat topping and Lemon Beurre Blanc sauce. We order the Redfish every time we go to Paulette’s. One reason because it is delicious. And the other reason because you hardly ever see Redfish on menus in Memphis.
Very good Service. The ambiance is upscale.
We could not have asked for more to make this a first-class dining experience.
Great time , Great service. Glad to be able to go inside and enjoy a meal.
The beef tips were awesome!

If you want a good, quiet meal I recommend Paulette's in Harbor town. The food is very good and the service is wonderful.
Paulette's has been our go-to for special occasions for over 35 years. The ambiance is elegant, the service is professional and respectfully friendly, and the food is unmatched! Their attentiveness to health & safety as they reopened following quarantine was impressive. They were discrete but thorough and very professional. HIGHLY recommend!
Absolutely amazing from the minute we walked in the door. Short ribs to die for. I need to know how you made that sauce.
Went for my wife's birthday lunch. Everything was set up on time and we went directly to our table. I had requested a window table and we had a beautiful corner table beside two windows, the view was great. The young lady that served us was very efficient and got all our drinks very quickly. The food was very good and the desserts were great. Will go again.
Paulette’s has been our favorite for 39 years. No other food tastes as good. Part of that is the recipes or the ancient pans used for the incredible popovers, but it is also the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Nobody should leave Paulette’s disappointed. It’s still an incredible experience.
We enjoyed the delicious lobster tail special with a strawberry crepe for dessert. Great date night!
We were greeted when we arrived and immediately shown to our table. Two in my party had never been there before and were impressed with the beautiful roses on the tables and in the room. Soft music was playing to add to the atmosphere. We all ordered something different and each plate was presented beautifully and was delicious. The waiter was attentive, but not worrisome. We each had a dessert and enjoyed each bite. I got the lunch special that had a cup of soup, a small salad, a slider and a crepe dessert. It was fantastic. We will be back.
Wonderful food and service. Head upstairs to the terrace at sunset for a drink looking over the river before your dinner reservations.
While it looked great in regards to its location and menu, the food was okay but in relation to the price tag, the food did not meet the mark. We were sat at a very small table in the bar, there were 5 of us and we were sitting on top of one another. And the service was so slow and inattentive.
We were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary and had told them but we were seated with a wine tasting group so had to ask to be moved the service was very slow. The food was sub par.
Seafood crepe was very good. However, spinach crepe had a chlorophyll after taste. Could it have been undercooked?
They need to update the menu and add healthier options, service could be better
Small and intimate restaurant. Ensure you have a reservation. Foods are bit salty, but the presentation is very good. Price of drinks and wines are very reasonable.
Friends from out of town for Grizzlies game, went for brunch and perfect choice
Food was bland , eggs Benedict had no flavor . No popovers for breakfast even though they were going to offer them in an hour when brunch starts .
Excellent food excellent service, excellent ambiance. All of the staff were professional
Great food and wonderful service. At lunch time the view of riverfront is an added bonus!
Excellent as always. Go-To for Anniversary. Enjoyed the entire meal and fantastic service.
The staff was extremely accommodating to my mother, who wanted steak for lunch for her 81st birthday. They provided it with a smile!
Exactly what we expected
The service was good but the food was very bland. I had the chicken and it did not have much flavor. The noodles that came with it were hard. My husband got the filet and it was ok, not great. The quality of the food is not the same as it use to be.
Yes it's an institution and always good!!! From Popovers to the K pie it never disappoints!
The table we were seated out was a little in the way of other tables. The meal was wonderful and the popovers were to die for. The server was wonderful and is a real asset to Paulette's. She was attentive to any needs we had and was quick to refill our drinks. The strawberry crepe was exceptional and the overall impression of the food/service was great. We will be back.
Some people complained for the delay of food. We arrived at 11:30, visited , had drinks, a superb meal, dessert, coffee and gone by 1 pm. That is NOT slow!! A meal at Paulettes is to be savored and enjoyed with those you love. WE WERE NOT CHARGED FOR DESSERT!! Our waiter, Richard, was professional and attentive. Thanks for the great experience!!
Beautiful location. Great brunch! Drinks are a little pricey, but the food made up for it. Muffins were overrated. No taste. Just air.
We made a reservation for the Valentine's weekend. We were surprised that they have a three course menu that you must choose from. They did not offer their usual menu that they have on their website which we looked at online and decided to make the reservation based on it. The manager was super rude and insisted that they their ' special ' menu ws advertised on their website even after we showed him the website on our phones. He simply said it is there but it does not show on your phones..!!!! They take your credit card info when you make the reservation to make sure that you will come for your reservation, otherwise they will charge $25 for each person if you don't show. This manager was going to do that when we decided to leave after we found out about their obligatory menu that does not have the food that we came for... He o said that he will not charge us ONLY after we raised the tone of our voice in front of a waiting customer.. I still need to check my bank account to make sure that he did not.. He did not look trustworthy..Even the waitress was very sarcastic and trying to make fun of us that we didn't know their special!!! They ruined our Valentine's celebration .. just FYI , their course was between $ 75 to $80 per person.. This was our second and LAST time their..STAY AWAY if you want to eat good food, not overpriced ,and dealt with in a respectful way...
Went for the valentine's special and was the best meal I have ever had. The service was exceptional
It was Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious, as always. One of our favorite restaurants. We love Paulette’s and The River inn at Harbortown.
Paulette must do better. When you pay over $80 for a three course meal you expect good food. Some oysters were spoiled & not flavorful. With the exception of rolls and lamb chops food seemed as if it was made at 9am. Then sat under a warmer until 9pm then served to customers.
Staff seemed to busy to make a connection. Yes it’s Valentine’s Day and they were busy right? Not when staff is prepared. Restaurant did not appear to be overly crowded.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Paulette's Restaurant for Valentine's Day - great food and service
My daughter-in-law and I had a wonderful lunch on Valentine’s Day! Delicious food, great service, beautiful setting. Will definitely plan on going back!
Food was just ok. Small portions and no flavor
Best Cosmo ever. Service and food impeccable. Ambiance delightful. Plan to make it a Valentine Day tradition.
The food and wait staff were absolutely fantastic.
