Great dining experience with food and service both excellent. There were 4 of us and each of us had a different dish for each course (not deliberate). Every dish was excellent with interesting combinations of ingredients and presentation - all worked brilliantly. Service attentive and interested but never over bearing. Definitely will return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pease and Loaf. Again the food was amazing - only wish we had had room for dessert. On previous visit we were seated up stairs, which was much better than this time when we sat opposite the bar. I didn't mention it because we were eating early so the place wasn't to busy with other people coming and going and I had left it until last minute to book so was glad they could get us in. Will definitely be back.

Apologies - I know this restaurant is highly rated, and I hate to knock brave cooking, but I think standards have slipped and the deconstructed style may have had its day. Pleasant evening nonetheless but better cooking elsewhere.

This was a good night out. Different way of dining with the hors deuves and between meal sorbets.
It is a bit pricey, however the food was great. There is no info to say the hors deuves weren't billed........ No mention of these and if we had had a starter would not have been able to eat the main course. A nice touch though and a pleasant surprise.
Wine was reasonably priced......
I at times found it difficult to hear my husband as the table behind us was very close and I could hear everything of their conversation but she was loud!
Best thing was the service.... Impeccable, friendly and not too in your face.
Worst thing was probably seeing the chefs floppy hair over the food........ And the flooring was very slippy expecially with 4 inch heels!
All in all though a good experience and we would certainly go back.

Have visited Peace and Loaf many times and have never been disappointed. Service is excellent and the cooking is of a very high order. It’s a style of cooking and presentation that is very rare in the area and scores highly on flavour and texture combinations. Very friendly restaurant

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with my partner and son in celebration of my 50th birthday. We arrived at 7pm and were still able to enjoy the fixed price menu which was good value. We especially enjoyed the "bonus" courses. The food was innovative and every course was delightful. Staff were attentive without being overbearing and a mix up with the bill was remedied promptly. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely return. Would love to try the full tasting menu.

7 tables on top floor and we were asked to sit next to the only other couple there. We asked for a corner table and were refused. The next couple came in a few minutes later and were seated at the table we requested (no tables were reserved). Grouse starter was very nice. 5 minutes after we ordered the mains we were informed that there was no chicken for one of them (this was 6pm and only 3 or 4 tables were occupied) and were offered beetroot as an alternative which my wife accepted, but it made the dish look like a starter and effectivly not value for money. The other chicken main and sweets were tasty. Also the free tasters between courses were very nice. Overall v.f.m not the best but I would not put anyone off going but would not return.

Very impressive (again!). Amazing food, so creative - you could never do this at home.

Service very attentive and professional. We asked to move to a quieter table and were promptly and discreetly moved.

Amuse bouches and special (on the house) anniversaries chocolates were nice touches and delicious .

This is proper restaurant and deserves its success. Resepect.
