Peace and Loaf Restaurant
Wonderful Easter Saturday lunch. Food was excellent although maybe slightly expensive. Service was very good but inconsistent, people on table next to ours had same meal but received steak knives and their table was cleaned down between courses. But I am being ‘picky’ the extras were wonderful and meant we only needed a main course. I would recommend to others.
Great food, attentive and helpful staff....an excellent restaurant which is value for money. The a la carte menu which we had uses quality ingredients, cooked to perfection...
Everything was really lovely: staff, atmosphere and amazing delicate flavoured food with fun twists that put a smile to the face! Also enjoyed the canapés between our chosen courses.
Above expectations is the best way to describe our evening at Peace and Loaf.
Four of us had lunch here on 17.4.19 and loved it. The ambience is relaxed, service informative and attentive without dominating. But the food is fabulous, and they seem to pack so much taste into everything they serve. For us it’s a treat lunch, but it would lovely to be able to afford to eat here more often. Such an enjoyable experience.
Good food and good service. Value for the price.
The service was good but the food was very poor because my wife was served a raw lamb chop Pink is one thing but raw not very good at all
Service was great and the food was too. Cant fault it.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Everything was served in great time, appetisers between meals and the meals themselves! As for the food I’ve genuinely never had a meal as good as I had at peace and loaf, and my partner agrees. The best part must have been the Nathan blue dessert! Blew my mind at how the flavours worked together and the incredible cheese! Will definitely be coming back to dine again!
Highly recommended. Second visit and both visits have been exceptional dining experiences. I shall be back!
Fantastic restaurant. My vegetarian options did not disappoint and even my meat loving brother thought they looked good. Service outstanding. definitely recommend
The food was outstanding and the combination of flavours was exquisite.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Peace and Loaf. We had a fantastic evening and the food was incredible. The staff were brilliant too, I can’t wait to go again!
Wonderful! This was for my husband’s birthday so it meant a lot to me and I wasn’t disappointed.
Wonderful food, very attentive staff, lots of surprises thrown in between courses and we’re going to book a taster menu, we were so impressed.
We received a gift voucher to eat at Peace and Loaf. From the time we arrived the service was excellent. Staff are friendly and very efficient. The food was first class, prepared freshly and in a reasonable time.
We particularly enjoyed the desserts.
Would definitely return
Good food, reasonable service, slightly overpriced but worth a visit nonetheless.
Lovely place with excellent food. We did the 10 course tasting menu and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Battered snails were amazing, as were the vietnamese lambs buns.
First time visit. Lunchtime. Pleasant welcome and explanation of the menu. Enjoyed the food and the nibbles between courses. Only issue was the salt & pepper vegetables....expecting a mixture but only parsnip? Possibly our problem for not asking.
Overall very good experience.
This will have been our second visit, and it didn't disappoint. The service is excellent with knowledgeable staff who know about dietary requirements, and excellent chefs who can accommodate with ease.
All courses were brought without long waits in between with little in-between courses to, which were delicious, particularly the little loaves and marmite butter!
Dessert was outstanding and I'm confident we'll be back again at some point. Many thanks to the team!
Nice ambience, with a few kitschy touches, which, however, make it informal and easy-going. The waiter was a young guy, very polite and genuinely nice. We went for the fixed menu, to try out a first time, and the experience has been absolutely delightful. Impressivley balanced cured raimbow trout: tarragon and citrus fruits gave the perfect acidity to it. The butteroasted Savoy was absolutely great, one of the best dishes I've had this year: rich, but still very fresh, thanks to the samphire that added a savoury and marine note to it. Spot on also the dessert, which reminded us a bit of Sicilian flavours.
As always a delicious way to celebrate a special occasion. The flavours especially in the amuse bouche are exceptional. A delight to eat there. Look forward to the next special occasion.
Consistently fabulous food & service. Our favourite restaurant in Newcastle & our go to for special occasions.
Absolutely outstanding in every way, we love coming here the food is always exceptional
Outstanding!! Food was fantastic. Beef dripping butter was to die for.
Tasting menu was a great opportunity to eat “the unusual” that we wouldn’t normally order or eat. All of the food including the extras was superbly tasty and cooked and presented perfectly.
Attention, attitude and professionalism from all the staff was exact and combined with the food to provide a great celebratory night.
My wife and I had the taster menu with wine pairing - Great Food - Great Wine - Great Service - Great Experience - Highly Recommended - Thanks for a night to remember
An all round perfect dining experience, will be back for sure
Brilliant nice little touches getting little plates to try along side your meal will definitely be back
Lovely food and service as always. We'll definitely be back!
Perfect food, lovely staff . Would highly recommend this place for a special occasion. Great music also!
We had the food and drinks tasting menu, it was outstanding. Enjoyed every one of the courses and the drinks matched perfectly.
Very good fine dining experience even for vegetarians. Great service and Ambience relaxed and informal
Really stunning food, great service, menu seasonal and amazing amuse bouche/ pre starters kindly given free
Great food and excellent, friendly service as always. Thanks to all the team for making lunch a magical experience.
Had a lovely evening. Food delicious. Service could not be faulted. Restaurant full and noisy. Difficult to hear conversation. Otherwise wonderful experience.
Myself and my boyfriend had a fabulous night on Friday. We had decided to go with the prix fixe menu and we are so glad that we did. Much to our surprise it was not just the 3 courses, it turned out to be 5! With delicious appetizers and intermediary courses, all fantastic.
Service was attentive and quick, but left a gap between the main course and dessert, I was pleased as I was starting to feel quite full.
A lovely evening.
We will definitely back.
Really lovely good quality food. We loved all of the amuse bouche, very tasty treats! Staff and service were great. Lovely atmosphere, peaceful and relaxing. Will definately be back
Fabulous food service was impeccable. Altogether a wonderful eating out experience
