2nd time here , 2nd fantastic food experience Had the middle tasting menu , wow , was so pleased to get to the end otherwise might have had to actually stop Just the right amount of sweet delights at the end . Each course was mouthwatering . Fantastic experience again Even popped to the Pie hatch for takeaway pie for today . What a very pleasant young man , can’t wait to try
Amazing food with attentive service. It is a unique dining experience.
Very good food. Obviously an expensive option for an evening out, but the portion sizes are good compared to other tasting menus that are out there. We had the 15 course menu and were truly stuffed by the end! Money well spent for a special occasion.
Exceptional lunch, can't praise the food and staff enough.
Amazing! What a great experience. Food was fantastic and such great service. Would highly recommend!
Great meal with friends. As always excellent food, beautifully presented.
Well spaced out and felt very safe
A wonderful experience as per usual. Staff are so tentative and down to earth. We love it here, for the food and great atmosphere and will always return for special occasions.
Fantastic mix of foods creative menu.
We had the pescatarian menu
Dave and the team at Peace & Loaf make one of the best dining experiences I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. The front of house team are friendly and attentive while the quality and ingenuity of the food is exceptional. Always something new but always some beloved favourites.
We look forward to our next evening at Peace & Loaf.
As always fantastic meal. David and his team are fantastic, great service, outstanding food. Which was the best course on Menu B....we are still debating, for me it was scallops with chicken pie gravy......for wine we always have the Alberino.
Absolutely amazing food. Probably beat kn the 5 times i’ve been there. Waiter was only two weeks into the job, a tad nervous, but still delightful
Not as good as the reviews very mixed presentation was poor the portions were to small to enjoy
Less number of courses would have been better and slightly larger portions
Yes I know it was a tasting menu but still one month full and it was gone there was no second chance to enjoy the food
The pairing wines were great
Maybe just not my cup of tea
So much work has gone into the preparation of the food. And takeing the time to collect fliwers from the allotment The skill that’s involved in this type of menu is hard to find this this day and age. Also the wine pairing which we didn’t have looked fantastic value I opted for the Malbec which was beautiful The prices aren’t your everyday eating out prices. But the effort and time that has gone into everything on the menu speek a volumes.
My only criticism is the downstairs toilet needs a bright bulb and painted in a lighter colour with a plant or flowers. But it wasn’t doing any harm.
Peace and loaf has been my favourite restaurant for a long long time. Unfortunately the move a taster menu seems like a step in the wrong direction. I went to peace and loaf for the dining experience and the extremely good food. Now it's a number of course's chucked at you most I didn't enjoy some you may like some you may not.....where is the tripple cooked chips and beef tartre ....I'm very sad
Even for a tasting menu the portions were tiny. Having said that, the bahn mi, the Gordal, the salmon and the rhubarb tart were delicious. The meat based courses were a little too greasy for our taste. Overall we didn’t think it represented value for the price tag of £84 for two.
Fabulous food in a relaxed and friendly place
Sampled menu 2, which was more than adequate for overall quantity of courses. Staff were attentive is explaining content of each course.
A new experience. Tasting menu was excellent. Lunchtime booking, so unfortunately unable to participate in drinks pairing. This was our first visit to P & L. From entering the restaurant we were impressed. Everything was smooth organised and controlled. The staff was amazing. They were friendly, welcoming and really knowledgeable when it came to advising the ingredients of each course. The food was superb. For the first time ever the various flavours of dishes came through to excite the palate. Small is beautiful. When the full menu returns, so will we. Thank you P & L for an unbelievable experience.
Incredible attention and love poured into every dish. The detail was astounding and the tastes were amazing. Vegetarian menu was imaginative and beautifully presented such thoughtful tasty food!
Visited on a midweek lunchtime. The restaurant was busy but not full.
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The food, as ever, was excellent.
The menu is the best one so far we had the banquet taster The service was really good as it always has been
Thoroughly enjoyed it
Lovely taster menu for birthday celebration
Superb food, faultless service. Complete delight from start to end.
A great night out with wonderful innovative food and attentive staff
Our table was right by the door - not a great seating position and on another occasion I would ask for a table up stairs. Staff very good and friendly.
The chef's character is felt in every dish. Absolutely fantastic quality. Even though it may seem pricey for the area, it's definitely worth every penny.
Went there for girlfriends Birthday dinner
Good an service were fantastic. Really loved up to our high expectations
Fantastic food, fantastic wine fantastic service, best meal out in years.
How wonderful to be back at our most favourite restaurant. The food is as exceptionally delicious and as exquisitely beautiful as ever. A true treat. Thank you. Thank you.

A brilliant dining experience. Delicious food and drinks combined with excellent service.
Slightly different dining format now - only taster menus available - but quality and service remain the same ... excellent !
excellent food and service the wine pairing was perfect our waitress was took great care in explaining every course and wine pairing to us overall loved it
We ate here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was simply gorgeous, so many different flavours to try and the staff explained each course perfectly. The service really was fantastic, the staff were really friendly and we were made to feel welcome the moment we walked through the door.
Fantastic taster menu, amazing ingredients, well presented dishes. Friendly efficient staff
We enjoyed very much with awesome food and drink !
