We had our "last meal" at Peppercorn's before all the restaurants were forced to close for indoor eating and move to take-out only. We chose Peppercorn's because it is reliably very good, and it didn't disappoint us this time, either. The Monday night $7 appetizers were a great bargain; we got the loaded potato skins. We also shared a bowl of onion soup gratinee, which was very good, and for our main course we got penne carbonara with chicken, which was excellent. The penne isn't on the current menu, but if you order it, they'll make it for you. It was weird and sad to see so few people eating in the main dining room. I hope the take-out business will keep them going.
Peppercorn’s never disappoints. Always a great meal and the fried cheesecake with cinnamon ice cream is amazing.
A nice Worcester restaurant a little Pricey but delicious food. Wish they had more of a non alcohol drink selection. Would definitely visit again especially when they do half off pizza and appetizers.
ALWAYS LOVE COMING HERE FOR LUNCH OR DINNER AND YOU CAN GO DOWNSTAIRS TO FLYING DREAMS BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR MEAL!
I have special dietary restrictions and the staff was very accommodating. She went and took a picture of the ingredients in one dish so I could see if it contained anything I can’t eat. Great food!
We had a nice little alcove for our party of 8 and it was awesome! Our waiter Zach was great and our food was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful time.
Very pleasant atmosphere and good food for a good price.
Food was amazing. Wish there was more to the fried goat cheese app especially for $14 but the food quality was outstanding.
Friendly reception at hostess station. Immediately seated. Server (Devon) was prompt and pleasant. She was right on top of our orders and drink refills. She was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks menus. Four entrees were generously portioned, flavorful and relatively inexpensive. Desserts from Bean Counter were delicious. It was our first visit but we will cheerfully return and recommend to others.
The atmosphere the food and the service was very good. Chicken with broccoli was delicious.
Was very good
Two of our 9 orders came out late, one was so late most of us were done eating. They never even offered to take it off the bill, that was an expensive 25 dollar mistake, will not be going back
The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our server was polite and knowledgeable.
The service was timely. Our food was yummy
The Chefs special dish was well worth the surprise
I found the table to be very uncomfortable, the leaf angled down and wasn’t even with the table. It felt as though everything was falling forward onto my lap.
Overall a good place and nice experience
Thank you very much for hosting my Mom’s birthday - the food and the service was excellent and the whole party had a great time. Additionally, I have to call out the mushroom appetizer, it was PHENOMENAL, and we would return for that the next time we are in Worcester!
Dinner with friends. The food and service were spectacular!!
Even though the restaurant was so busy our waitress made us feel like we were her only customers. She was top notch!
I can’t wait to go back!
First and foremost our waitress was fantastic. I ordered the new burg and tips and of the three tips all were over seasoned and very salty. One of the three was very fatty and tough to cut as there was a line of grizzle in the middle. The new burg sauce was good and the piece of fish was cooked well, but I was disappointed at the bay scallops, I would have preferred 2 or 3 deep sea scallops to the bay scallops of which there was only a small quantity. The dessert was fantastic and my coffee was very good and hot. I enjoy Kim Crawford and found the price per glass slightly expensive, but just the same I was pleased. The restaurant was clean, staff friendly.
Food came fast, portions were huge, staff was knowledgable and friendly.
Food was absolutely phenomenal. Great quality for a great price.
Peppercorn’s is the best all around restaurant in Worcester.
And, they are completely on top of their ballgame. We Love it!
Breadth of excellent menu choices.
Highest quality service,
Exceptional all around value.
Peppercorn's never disappoints. The food and service are excellent. It's a no-frills operation but you'd never know it. The room can get a little raucous especially if it's crowded. Bread is by "request" only. That is not really made clear by most of the wait staff (although I think it might say so on their menu), which can come as a surprise to newer clients.
I’d never been there before, but I would love to go back. Everything was fantastic!
Split a Pizza with my son. Quite large and flavorful, thin crust,
Food was good. Dangerously understaffed especially during this season. One bartender with a full bar and food side. Need staff bad!
This was our first time dining at Peppercorn's Grille and Tavern so we didn't know what to expect. Sometimes finding a restaurant that makes our family of adults and young kids happy at the same time can be a challenge. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great for a date night or dining with children, and the services was above and beyond. When we are in the area again we will be returning to this great restaurant!
Party of 7, The waitress was great, food was all hot and good, reasonably priced for the large proportions 1st time there, we'll be back
WE had a party of 6 for dinner. Overall the food was good. I think the prices were high, especially since they do not bring bread to the table and you don't get a salad with your dinner. Our waitress was just ok.. She brought over a dessert tray and never described what they were. She also took forever to bring over and then collect our check. I will not be rushing back.
The pistachio haddock was so delicious. The combination is perfect. I’m going back soon to get it agin.
Food and menu have changed and not for the better. This use to be my go to place. Somewhat disappointed these last few visits.
Came here before a formal event as a date with my girlfriend. I’ve come here for years and love the food and ambiance. You can come here for pretty much any occasion and always expect to have a good time.
Both entrees were excellent. I had the special au gratin haddock and my wife had Chicken Fontina. Both were delicious and brought to us piping hot. The service was terrific. The restaurant was very busy but people were moving in and out and there was no wait for service. One issue that may impact whether I return is the parking situation. The lot was full and there was no street parking. I eventually found a spot about a five minute walk away and it was a little sketchy. They used to provide valet parking. It was sorely missed this time.
Food and Service were sublime! Parking was rough.
A nice place to go for an early dinner before our nearby show.
I recommend the seafood dishes. Both the haddock and the salmon are superb. The vegetables are always done just right
Really good Italian food with generous portions and a solid beer list.
Good food and service it’s a little loud but not anything you wouldn’t expect out of a bar
The food was excellent as always but the service was very slow. Our waitress was very unatentive to our party. She really did not deserve the automatic 20% gratuity added for the size of our party.
Great, friendly waitress. Cute decor. Good food.
Gallo (hopefully spelled it right) was just wonderful, he made our night. It was attentive, and great at suggestions and kept us totally happy. We requested him again for our upcoming function.
This is a regular (roughly annually for the past 10 years or so) dining spot for us. The menu is balanced and not to big. This visit was off the hook! (as usual). We enjoyed every aspect of the experience. It looked as though there had been some re-decorating since our last visit which was lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is amazing! For the appetizer we had calamari (very tasty!) We had the "hand of the chef" selection for the entree. I have done this several times and have never been disappointed (it is a creation of the chef that is unpublished in the menu and the diner is not told what it is. I love the adventure of this!). This time it was a stuffed meatloaf using (I think) veal, beef, and Canadian bacon, formed in a roll, with a demi-glaz, and served with green fried tomatoes ala mozzarella. WOW! Incredible! Then we shared an order of the chocolate ganache with vanilla ice cream. Such a good meal. I also enjoy the varying selection of wine and IPA that they carry. Prices are very reasonable considering what the diner is getting. Just an all around great place to dine.
