The breakfast food here is lovely, very good location for a business breakfast. However, upon arrival I was sitted on an empty table and told I was the first one to arrive, whilst my clients were already sitting somewhere else. Also, at the end of the meal no one came to collect the payment (nor walked by our table) for 10 mins, and I had to stand up and go to reception to ask for it... maybe they were understaffed that morning but yes service/reception to be improved.
Relaxed yet sophisticated vibe, good bunch menu, helpful staff. Will go back 👍🏼
Great location and lots of space for either large groups or quiet working lunches.
Food is average, but edible.
P&F did a great job of hosting a price fix menu for New Year’s Eve. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was extremely well made and the craft cocktails were spot on
Christmas Day feasting was perfect! Comfortably classy without being stuffy and too formal! Service was exceptional. Dining selections were well chosen & deliciously prepared!! Thank you so much!
Food fantastic as always although service wasn’t so great!
Toilets were atrocious. Dirty sanitary wear on the floor, bins over flowing. Members of the group told staff 3 times and minimal was done.
It's a shame because other than that the food was great! Staff were okay, a little slow and our table was not ready on time. The bar was not over run either so I don't understand what the delay was and there were empty tables.
Overall lovely good food friendly waiter, I would come again but a shame that it was a bit tainted by the dirty toilets.
This has been a regular of mine but it was really disappointing on Friday. We were sat in the bar area rather than restaurant and the service was poor.
Late lunch with business contacts service good and not rushed. Food very good quality pub classics
Just a last minute Christmas Lunch for two. Directed to sit Sat in the bar area, which was a bit noisy.
Venison Wellington was really good.
At Christmas time we expected a lively lunch time. It was fun and not overly noisy. Fab food, just what we needed after a long walk on a cold day.
Wonderful place for Sunday brunch or large booking. Beautiful and quirky interior, great menu!
Went for my husbands birthday and we were impressed with the food. Only recommendation would be to offer more of a variety for starters as predominantly fish starters. Had a lovely time and would highly recommend.
Good all round value. Great ambience, good design and friendly staff.
Mixed bag as table was in the bar area so not great. Starter of salmon was very good and the roast beef was huge. Downside was that all the veg were al dente and cold. Yorkie was good and gravy was proper. Service was poor however. The waitress got a order wrong each time she visited the table and had little or no interest in checking back. No manager touched the table either so a further let down.
Reasonable food. Very good friendly service. Good for relaxed lunch or pre theatre food
Quite a loud venue so I did feel sometimes I was talking loudly to be heard over the other diners.
Staff were good and friendly. My food was ok, perhaps down to choice, but was cooked well and arrived promptly.
Quite noisy background music would of helped. Friendly staff especially the welcome host. Food was lovely.
Percy and Founders feels more like an upmarket bar than a restaurant. We found the wine list rather over priced compared with the menu. The music was also too loud, which sadly stopped the evening from feeling like a treat. All a bit disappointing
Good location, great restaurant and nice bar, great and tasty food. Good service and nice staff.
Very welcoming - lovely crowd by still quiet enough to have great conversation. Good offering of standard fare - scotch eggs are SO GOOD.
Excellent location, food and service excellent. Good selection
Thought it might be busy but wasn’t. Hard interior made it noisy. I prefer a slightly quieter dining experience. However, Server was not well trained. He kept reaching across diners to serve & pick up plates. Also needed to attend to personal hygiene.
Not sure why but gents toilet floor was awash.
Generally roasts were good except pork belly too fatty. Food was hot and staff knew which dish went to each diner. Menu was a bit more limited than I expected.
Overall good nonetheless.
I booked this for Sunday lunch with my husband and our friends and we all had a lovely afternoon, the roasts were fantastic, the wine list is great and the service was incredible. Our waiter was very attentive.
Attended on Sunday for Brunch and the food was incredible. Myself and two others could not stop saying "This tastes so good!". I have the Crushed Avo on Toast with Poached Eggs - the Avo was extremely creamy and seasoned perfectly! Service was of a good standard and the interior decorations were an amazement to see. Would be good for any time of the day by yourself or even up to 1-20 people! Plush and modern surroundings give this a business but comfy feel. Outdoor seating would also be great in the summertime.
Service was really slow, we waited 30min between starter and main course.
Apart from this, nice looking place with good music and good food
The food was great, the staff weren’t very friendly, slightly rude and also didn’t smile which made the experience not as great! Which was a shame.
I've eaten here before and took business clients for a celebratory dinner. When I booked I specifically asked for a quiet table, as I know it can get rowdy. When the restaurant called the day before to confirm the booking I reiterated this request. But when I arrived I found us placed in the n=middle of the action, with speakers just about overhead. Unfortunately my clients were already seated and it would have been possibly embarrassing to ask them to move. But conversation had to be shouted and it was a really bad experience. Early on in the meal I walked around the whole place and in the back there were certainly quieter options. I don't know why my request was ignored but it spoiled the experience. I spent well over £500 and feel quite negatively towards this place.
Very good food. Delicious soup. Unfortunately brunch options( all the dishes with eggs) weren't available at 2.00pm. Excellent atmosphere and service. I will go back.
Been several times and we love it. Already recommended to several friends who also love it.
The place is nice, clean and the service is very attentive. Normal portions and decent food.
Good for group meetings, last minute bookings and in warm days the outside seats are a treat.
Only downside was the acoustics and it being bit loud.
I’ve been to Percy and Founders a few times already and it never disappoints. The setting is so beautiful with all the art around and gorgeous furnishing, and the food and drinks complement a fantastic experience. Each area is so originally unique and grants a superb dining experience. Thanks for the excellent service!
Excellent service and food a reasonabley quiet ambiance.
Excellently placed venue within easy walking distance of tube services!
I was very excited to go for the Sunday Roast. Unfortunately it was horrible. I asked for the beef, medium rare. I got 2 very thin slices, 1 cooked properly and one very overcooked. The meat was horribly tough, I couldn't even eat it. My husband got the pork belly which was acceptable but skimpy. In addition, all the veggies were overcooked to the point of being burnt. The only good things were the yorkshire pudding and gravy. Unbelievingly disappointing. I can't believe that the chef and wait staff would even serve those meals, they were clearly overcooked and unacceptable.
I dine here fairly frequently. This experience was disappointing. Got a table down by the kitchen, which lacked any atmosphere at lunchtime, when the rest of the place wasn't even full. The staff were subsequently infrequent visitors. No top up drinks offered. So, skipped dessert. A shame as I love the venue.
Everything was great - except the chicken pie was VERY salty
Big fan of Percy and Founders, however on the last two occasions of visiting I've been quite disappointed. On two occasions my toast has arrived burnt, with the avocado just covering it up and the service has been incredibly slow. For the breakfast serving everyone seems spread out across a very large restaurant space meaning the servers are spread incredibly thinly, and trying to get attention to order, and receive the bill takes a very long time.
We enjoyed it immensely - partic bec of the superb service with a smile. 50%off was good too, although it was a shame it was just on the Sunday roast menu.
I arrived early so treated myself to a cocktail which then meant I had to have more. Friend was late so people watched and staff were attentive. The meal was fantastic. Still thinking about it now! I will definitely go again and recommend. It has the vibe of a cool luxe hotel so service was impeccable.
