Working in the industry I thought the service was a bit slower with the staff that where on but where friendly and attentive, food was great
The food was ok The service was a little slow, would have been nice to have had the same waiter/waitress for the whole meal but 5 or 6 different ones came each time!
Nice quiet village pub. Service was impeccable throughout, food arrived in a timely manner and was absolutely stunning. I would definitely recommend.
Good food and great service. Booked online for outdoor area, was seated in our own cabin at the rear of the premises. 👍
Much improved from July 2020. Good food good value and a friendly team
We'll be back in 2022
excellent food and service, look forward to going back
Great find. Lovely Sunday lunch. Best pub Yorkshire Puddings I have had for a long time. Every thing was cooked well and full of flavour.
Very good food in pleasant surroundings. Service very slow.
Excellent food, great service, fair price. Very boring having to generate 50 characters of text when fewer will do...
Good food in great surroundings, food was generous and tasty. Theyve made a benefit of the coid requirments - the outdoor dining sheds are a great idea.
The food was excellent and served really quickly. We were sat in an outside hut and found it very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. We had a lovely meal so thanks to everyone at the Percy Arms
Dinner was ok, fish and chips were very nice, chips were excellent. Burger and chips were also good. Disappointed with the limited menu and staff were poor. Very pleasant but no sense of service and no idea when asked about recommendations for wine.
Breakfast was terrible. 3 rashers
Of bacon literally welded together.
We did have to wait an hour and a half for our food, however staff were really apologetic, took a round of drinks off our bill and the food was so incredible that it was worth the wait! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Staff were very friendly, lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend
Good food and good service, food arrived promptly.
Lovely country pub, nice decor, friendly service, great local beers, food was FABULOUS!! Will deffo be returning, just go
Thank you. We had a lovely visit and will be back.
Hadn’t been since November 2019 but was very pleased that the food was as good as ever.
Food very good
Table service excellent. Could not have done more.
A touch pricey especially deserts.
Lovely outdoor area with private outdoor huts and a lawned area with parasols and tables. Friendly, attentive staff and lovely food
Food was overall good, quite few staff working, service attentive, no covid issues. Would return.
We visited at the end of a lunch time session & as such the venue was very quiet.
However the quality of the food was excellent & presented with care.
Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Superb food. Generous portions. Friendly staff & a cozy atmosphere. Delightful experience & will definitely return.
We had a wonderful meal with a great atmosphere the service was excellent we ate in one of the small dining rooms there were 4 tables in this area the food was excellent we had a lovely evening
Lovely country inn offering inside or outside dining.
Food choice good and is well presented.
Only downside was there was some confusion which led to 1 meal being delivered late then staff started to clear whilst person still eating
We haven't previously been to the Percy Arms as we were on a weekend break in the area. The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. The service was a little slow but as we were not in any rush this wasn't a problem
We returned on Sunday to have a drink and sat in the sunshine on the deck which was very pleasant.
We were made to feel instantly welcome at the Percy Arms. The table was in the main bar but it was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were really helpful and attentive. We really enjoyed our food and there was a great drinks selection. We will definitely be returning.
We were staying here and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Obviously a popular place to eat locally, and understandably why! Totally recommend, staff are so welcoming, very friendly and attentive service and the food was delicious.
Service very fast, food excellent, staff very friendly and helpful
Delicious food especially the sharing platter. Friendly helpful staff in these trying times. We felt safe and very well fed thank you
Our meal was very good but let down by long wait for dessert.
Such a disappointment. Having been here for a mid week lunch ages ago, I suggested to come here for Fathers Day and booked online with plenty of notice. I was shocked when I arrived to the pub that the prices were significantly different to what they were advertising on their website, and I understand that this was a sample menu but we booked having noticed that Sunday dinners were priced around £14, which we thought was a standard price and were shocked when we arrived that a pork dinner was £16 and a beef dinner was £18! We're not sure if this was because it was Fathers day, but please update online prices if not! We all ordered a starter and a main course each. 3 out the 5 starters arrived, and we had to wait and chase the other two starters after 20 minutes of waiting. We had to reorder the starters, and luckily they came within 5 minutes and they were taken off the bill, and we're thinking these things happen. We then waited a further 45 mins for our main courses, which i think is long time between courses! 2 of us ordered the beef dinner, and we were appalled at the portion size for £18! The size of the beef slice was no bigger than the palm of my hand with lots of gristle and fat. Understandable, we complained because when you're paying £18 for a plate of food you are expecting £18 worth and we didn't. We were then told that they had ran out of beef, and could offer us more mash potato instead...um NO! I wish they had come and told us, and explained the situation prior to serving our dinner. The service on a whole was shocking, and like I said such a disappointment. The manager took the two beef dinners off the bill, which we appreciated but I wish they had been honest about it in the first place and we would have understood, but I think it's rude to try get away with charging someone this money and think they can get away with. We didn't order desserts and paid up. Will I return? No and unfortunately I won't be recommending this pub.
On holiday in Northumberland this was a recommendation. The food was very good, although the desserts were slightly disappointing. The service slipped and we had a wait of nearly 40 minutes between the soup and the main course. This was explained during the wait, although the precise reason was not clear. It seems as though the order might have been misplaced, following an order for a table of six.
The ambience was a little disappointing as we were the only table occupied in our room for most of our meal and there was no real atmosphere.
We enjoyed the food and the surroundings of the venue and the village are excellent. Probably won't return.
Long wait for food, inedible undercooked vegetables.
Great steak, chips that came with it looked very overcooked so did not look attractive. The chicken supreme tasted delicious but the accompanying mash potato had no seasoning and it did say it came with leeks but I presume they must have been in the sauce.
The service was very slow we put this down to inexperience staffing.
We had a lovely Evening. There was a bit of a mess up with the food but the staff were lovely and tried their best to rectify the situation. We would definitely recommend the Percy Arms!
Nice food but waited a long time. Also forgot dessert menus. Could be really nice if table service was better.
What a find. Had a lovely meal here on our way to Alnwick. Book an outside room, they are so lovely. Food was delicious
Great, family pub with indoor and outdoor seating. Nice background music and football contained to the bar fortunately. Initial service prompt but main course took a while and 1 drink never arrived but it was on the bill.
Nice evening. Good staff vibes. All them supporting one another - especially one whose first shift it was. Very smiley.
Nice Smoked Salmon pate to start followed by Fish & Chips. The chips were very chunky, which is fine. However, they were pretty soggy, which isn’t all that appealing.
Delicious food with good service and I look forward to coming again.
