Great all around experience. Hospitality team accommodated a group of 10 on a Saturday...no easy feat. Arrived early for a cocktail on the deck and had a great meal. Wait staff was great.
Great service and great food, perfect evening for a rooftop meal
Had a great waitor who was training to be a somolier.
Great restaurants, badly made cocktails. The worst gin and tonics I ever had! The worst sangria !
Nice ambience great sushi
Open table allows you to specify your dining preference when you create your reservation, so I specified "rooftop terrace" for my 7:30 reservation for a party of two. When we arrived, they asked if we had a reservation and I told them we did. We were told that despite my reservation and specific request, in order to be seated on the terrace we would be put on a separate list behind 6 other parties and the wait would be 45 minutes. We were told to go up to the rooftop to speak to the hostess there - we were not escorted up there and it is quite confusing layout. Again, the hostess on the roof asked if we had a reservation, which they had on screen, only to then say that they would text when a table was ready. At this point I really wonder what the point of making a reservation on open table is, what the point of talking to the first hostess is, just show up 45 minutes before you want to eat and get on the waiting list on the roof. I will caution people that there is one particular bartender who is sour and makes it known he does not want to be there or help you with anything. We were actually comped a drink when we asked to switch bartenders because he was about to ruin our night. The other bartender and the rest of the staff are extremely polite and friendly.
Beautiful outdoor dining experience with great food and very mediocre service (that didn’t detract too much from the meal)
Went for a birthday. Sat on rooftop. It was a really nice spot
Staff was very friendly. Wait time for roof top table was about 30 minutes with reservation. Server check on the us frequently. A little tight between tables, but wasn't a big distraction during date.
It was my girls birthday and the staff made it perfect! They went above and beyond and the food was exceptional! A+++++ wonderful!!! The hosts helped us get a table fast and the Raul made a drink and named it after my girl. The birthday cake was hidden and a total surprise. Just amazing. I was there in July 13
Our server took excellent care of us on the beautiful rooftop. He even brought a birthday dessert, which was extra appreciated. My friend and I had a stellar experience and will definitely return.
Our family celebrated our son 25th year birthday at Perry's rooftop. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was nice. The rooftop has a very pleasant ambiance. I would highly recommend the place.
Sad we didn’t get to dine on the rooftop because of the weather, but enjoyed the ambiance and the sushi with friends! Wish it was slightly quieter as it was fairly loud when we were there and one of the girls had a migraine so that was subpar for her, but other than that it was a good experience :)
The staff was particularly cool and you couldn't beat the roof scene. The price was a little high but that is expected in DC. I really enjoyed myself and will definitely go back. They had a godo HH deal.
My favorite place in dc for years
Perry's is clearly the place to dine on a nice summer evening. The menu is varied, the food is excellent, the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable and the roof-top terrasse is by far one of the best in town.
Request the rooftop! It is great, cushy seats, strung up lights, colorful decorations. As for the food, every bite of sushi was delicious, including the hot food. They also have great cocktails. I will be eating at Perry's again, and I would recommend it to others.
Food was superb, service outstanding, overall this place is one of my favorites. Not sure if I want to dine in on the second floor, the terrace is definitely the place I want to be in.
The sushi is at best subpar, do not go here if you want good sushi. I went for the rooftop experience and enjoyed it; however, next time I will just go for drinks and eat elsewhere.
Incredible sushi and great drinks!
I have never been disappointed by Perry's. They're food is to die for and I find it hard to wait for the food to come out. Service has always been great as well.
Always the best spot in dc. Great roof deck and amazing service. The best sushi in DC.
The service was a joke.
Excellent service, beautiful setting and delicious fresh food. Our waitress was so funny and made everything perfect.
Was excited about al fresco dining on a spring evening, but unfortunately we got rained out. This actually did not ruin the evening, as the staff helpfully brought down drinks and helped us get situated on the couches, which were quite comfortable. The sushi was presented beautifully in a bamboo dish, and the hanger steak skewer and dumplings were both moist and delicious as well. The only downside was that the ramen was spicy but lacked a depth of flavor, so we would not order that again. Overall, Perrys is a great place to get a light meal!
The food is good but the service is so bad it doesn’t make up for it.
The food was great and service was decent, but the purpose of going to Perry's is for the rooftop. It was 60-65 degrees out during my visit and they wouldn't allow us to sit up there.
Excellent sushi/sashimi selections and presentation. Go with saki since cocktails rather small...unusual since prior visit not so. Great people watching plus how can you go wrong with Adams Morgan?
We ❤️ Perrys
The food was pretty good though the service was slow. Enjoyed the pork dumplings, Chinese broccoli, and dragon roll.
Pretty ok all around. Nothing special, especially not for Valentine's day. But we were able to enjoy our food for slightly more than it may have been worth. Enjoyable food, not really a date night
We went to Perry’s for dinner on Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu for the day, including specialty cocktails. We split the heart roll (I assume that’s only available on vday) and then got a total of 5 sushi rolls as our meal and each one was incredible. Super fresh and delicious all the way around. I already can’t wait to come back!
For some reason with plenty of tables available and a reservation my guest and I were put on a couch with a coffee table to eat at. It was ridiculous and I will never go back here. Waited 20 minutes on the check because the female bartender was too busy flirting with a guy on the bar stool.
Perry's is my favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. The Element sushi is my favorite dish, but everything I've ever ordered here is great. I really have no negatives.
Very nice experience overall. Nice servers and nice ambience.
Overall I had a great experience, the sushi was fresh and great presentation. The service was good, it could been better. I wish my server would of cleaned my table more and didn’t take so long but other than that it was good.
The sushi and Tapas we had were good. The cocktails were ok. It was a fun night in any case, and I would go back, but I didn't have that "Dinner was amazing" feeling. It's usually buzzing all year round so it's possible that being New Year's Eve, it was just an off day for me.
Excellent and fresh.
Thank you for the great service, adding one dish and one dessert for my friend, who just celebrated his birthday. Their service was very attentive. I am grateful for the service.
However, I had to confirm my suspicion this time for sure. Perry's had been a great gem as a place for authentic Japanese food. I am Japanese, and was very pleased with the food they used to serve. This was my second time after they changed the menu, and I was very sad that the variety was gone. I see an obvious decline of customers last time (maybe it was a Sunday night?). For example, you cannot serve a deep fried Japanese shiso along with sashimi, because sashimi is raw fish!! Hot dish should be served as hot, while cold dish like sashimi should be served as cold. I am not a chef in any way, but it is a basic principle of Japanese food. There will be a biggest Japanese education conference (with Asian studies) this coming March. I was planning to book a table for the occasion at Perry's. But with the current menu, there is no way for me to invite my important Japanese friends and colleagues. I strongly believe that Perry's was the best in DC. I am really hoping that they will go back to the previous menu with previous Japanese chefs.
Food was perfectly prepared. Service was perfectly delivered. Kinda perfect!
