Friendly prompt service. Ideal for a pre theatre meal.
Booked several weeks in advance. We were seated upstairs completely on our own so there was no ambience/atmosphere at all. The table was booked for 6.30, we were told at 7.45 that there was a private party booked in so we needed to pay the bill and vacate the table. If we had been told this in advance we would have booked an earlier slot or booked to go somewhere else rather than feeling rushed to pay and leave. Also being sat upstairs on our own (even though the barman was very pleasant and good service) made the evening feel quite flat.
The service is friendly and fast. You get your meal very fast. This is a good restaurant before you visit a theatre.
Thanks so much for accommodating our group last week. What a lovely place!
The only reason I gave 4/5 is that when I got a takeaway box it was STYROFOAM. I think that it's important to keep abreast to what is happening in the world and environment at the moment and help as much as we can by providing environmentally friendly options for all things.
Would definitely recommend this place though! Great staff and lovely atmosphere.
Also, prices were surprisingly reasonable for Downtown London.
Lovely authentic Italian restaurant. Unassuming and great atmosphere. Loved how cosy and relaxed it felt - make sure you book pre theatre as it is very busy and not a big restaurant.
Good Italian well cooked food with attentive service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. So convenient too, right opposite a tube station.
Good value restaurant opposite Leicester Square tube . Food very good only downside we were seated at the end of the restaurant near the till and back door which when opened was cold draught
We ate here on Thursday evening before going to the theatre. Service was prompt but we did not feel hurried at all. Food good and substantial portions. Feels like home cooking. Only downside was that the restaurant is small and we felt a little cramped. We would certainly visit again for a pre-theatre meal.
very good as usual nice restaurant in great location will be back
Perfect with the family, every body been helpful and kind, and great great food!
Great little find in the heart of the West End, friendly & attentive staff great value food and massive portions, what more could you ask for!
A great find, good food and ambiance close to Leicester Sq tube. Moderate prices for West End
I visited this restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner. It's small and family run with excellent service. The food was delicious and the portions generous. Would highly recommend the fried calamari and the spicy chicken pasta. Altogether a very pleasant dining experience right in the centre of theatre land. Definitely a cut above the surrounding Italian chain restaurants.
a lovely start to a theatre evening. menu looked good. Servings were very good (and big!). service was fast and responsive
Very good authentic Italian service not bad very small restaurant that can get busy.
Dined with my family before the theatre. Good service though waiting staff were a bit thin on the ground.Good food and reasonably priced.Would definitely eat here again .
Went for family dinner before a show. Food was very good and reasonable. We have a family member with food allergies and the waiter was very attentive and made a special dish for us. Food was served quickly as we had a show to catch. Prices are very reasonable and portions are big.
Table for 15 for a family meal for all ages. Food was lovely and service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
This is a lovely little restaurant close to the theatres and the tube station. Food is very good and well presented. Service is good but you do actually pay a service charge for this. The prices are very reasonable for the area. The tiramisu was absolutely gorgeous and was quite a generous piece. The puddings are displayed in a cabinet and all look absolutely lovely. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone except maybe small children.
The food was lovely and the staff and service was brilluant.
The tiramisu was delicious
Great food with wide selection to choose from and and really friendly staff.
Very good pre theatre lunch with our 4 yr old grandson, all generations really enjoyed the food !
One would expect a restaurant close to Leicester Square to be a tourist trap, but Piazza is much better than that. Quality Italian food at a fair price served by friendly staff. We'll be back again.
Great location just off Leicester Square, great menu, food, wine list, prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and would return.
Good food, lovely atmosphere. Staff very attentive.
Popped in after theatre. Good food and house wine at reasonable prices. We'll be back again.
Great little family run Italian right in heart of Leicester Square. Food is excelkent.
We have started to come to Piazza for our evening meal everytime we are in London. We love the food the staff are very attentive and efficient. We will be back again very soon. Julie
Centrally located, reasonably priced and unexpectedly freshly cooked Italian food-a cut above many touristy restaurants. Friendly and efficient service
Great tasty food. The lasagne was amazing!
Child friendly and excellent service.
Lovely freshly cooked Italian food, something for everyone on the menu and service was excellent! A lovely meal before heading to the theatre!
Generally my wife and I had a good experience at The Piazza Restaurant, unfortunately there was a rather large and rather drunk leaving party going on in the upstairs level which was spilling over to the downstairs and outside area of the restaurant. Obviously this cannot be the responsibility of the restaurant but it was a bit unfortunate as those involved were a bit noisy. The food was fresh, good and tasty and for its location was certainly not overpriced. The staff were nice and helpful so all in all we had a good visit, maybe my review would have been 5 stars if we hadn't had to mix with the party goers.
Brilliant find. Quick service and hearty Italian food at a reasonable price.
convenient to theatres and well organized to get food out quickly. family run restaurant with decent food and adequate service.
Visited Piazza Restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. There were four of us meeting up for a pre-theatre lunch. The menu choice was great. We all choose pasta. The Spaghetti Pescatora came loaded with seafood rather than a just a few pieces showing on the top! The other dishes that were chosen were just as delicious.
The two people who attended our table were delightful, nothing was too much trouble. All in all we had a fabulous meal and were looked after very well. We had planned to go back in the afternoon for a pudding, as we were all pretty stuffed with our meal but unfortunately we didn't make it. This restaurant will definitely go on our restaurants to visit list, the next time we are in the area.
Excellent food and service
Clean and tidy.
Bit tight for space.
The food and the service was good but I believe the restaurant could be better decorated and better presented.
As a true Italophile, I always love this place. We were remembered by our waitress from previously and I could speak Italian to her.
Very friendly welcome, efficient service, tasty Italian cuisine, good value.
Authentic, great food, wonderful service. Just great and affordable
