Great food and tremendous service by Alberto and his team! Grazie mille!
The room we were in had very bright lights, didn’t feel like the ambiance I was expecting from this restaurant. I also ordered a pizza and it was cold. The veal on the other hand was spectacular.
Always good, always attentive. A happy default when we are making plans with friends and family. And, the hosts are incredibly efficient.
The food and wine were excellent. Our only discomfort came from being close to a busy corridor. The noise level increased with the evening and the amount of wine served.
Still, it was a very good experience and we will certainly return.
Great service started our experience from being seated promptly to getting water quickly to being asked about drinks and finally answering questions and taking the food orders. The menu was varied and unique. Or particular dinners were prepared well and flavorful. They remembered our anniversary by writing this around the plate of the dessert. Just wondering though, what if we didn’t order dessert, how would they have acknowledged it? Regardless, a nice night out despite the cold rainy weather - the valet service helped.
Always a great place to come for really solid old school Italian food.
I come to Chicago 2X a year for a trade show and Piccolo Sogno is always the first reservation that I make. They also have an extensive list of Italian wines by the glass or bottle at reasonable prices.
Server was not tentative or friendly.
Doesn’t happen often here, but our order got lost in the shuffle and took 40 mins for 2 pasta dishes and a brick oven pizza to come out. Oddly, we sat down at 5:30 before the rush, which made it all the more puzzling. No mention of apology or offer to pick up small dessert.
Good service, the staff was friendly and cared about us all the time. Raviolis are awesome
It was a nice experience! Completely worth it!
This was our second time there. We live out of town, and enjoyed our first dinner here (last November) that we made sure to go back on our next visit to Chicago. All of the food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. It’s become one of our favorite restaurants anywhere, and we’ll try to come back whenever we return to the city.
Very nice dinner and service was excellent.
Excellent place, outstanding food and great service. Love it and planning on coming back.
Piccolo Sogno is in my opinion one of the most authentic restaurants in Chicago.
What a great deal for Restaurant Week! I want to come back and can't wait to sit outside when it gets warm. Great attentive staff.
Amazing service and warm and inviting atmosphere. Great for groups and dates. Food was delicious and good size portions.
It was ok. Perhaps we ordered the wrong items.
Good food, fast service, friendly staff. Definitely will return.
This is our favorite restaurant in Chicago. We have never been disappointed here.
Great every time!
Great service, delicious pasta.
Great food, great value and great service.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, service and food is consistently good.
Went for restaurant week. Oxtail was amazing and so was ravioli! Server was wonderful and I highly recommend this restaurant. The tables are quite close to each other so it’s a tight squeeze getting in and out / going to the bathroom and can be a little loud.
Fantastic restaurant week menu
Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. And most definitely, the greatest value for Lunch during Restaurant Week! Great friendly, knowledgeable and comfortable service. Unbelievable balsimic vinegar on the table (with private label olive oil for bread service which is still complementary). Pasta textures are wonderful, mixed grill salad (mixta griglia) has the best grilled octopus you will ever have. Have a glass or two of well priced wine and leave room for dessert.
Beautiful space, impeccable service, food was very tasty. Easy to carry on a conversation. Loved it and will go back. Also appreciated the complimentary valet parking at lunch.
Food was great. Service was good. It’s just very loud in the dining room for conversation
Food was very tasty, service was accommodating and environment was nicely done
Service was amazing, very friendly and helped through any questions of the menu with ease.
Food was phenomenal and very quick
Will be going again!
Absolutely love Piccolo Sogno! The food is amazing. Drinks are fabulous. We even stayed after dinner for another drink at the bar.
Everyone is so friendly and welcoming
Thank you Piccolo Sogno for a wonderful evening!
We will definitely be back
Food and service was so very good - I can't wait to go back!
Went for restaurant week and the menu was fantastic!!!
My favorite place in Chicago
I would recommend Piccolo Sogno to a friend with a caveat: It depends on which room you're in. We visited during Chicago Restaurant Week; the value for that menu, a three-course meal for $36, was incredible. The food was terrific, the portions generous. The service was attentive. The space is lovely, and we will visit again in the summer, as there is a nice courtyard. However, the noise level was excruciating, and detracted from everything else. There are three rooms inside the restaurant and we were seated in one long room where the tables were simply crammed together, only a few inches between them. The room was full so the noise made it impossible to carry on a conversation. I love to dine out and Chicago has so many choices but my personal favorites are limited to those restaurants where my ears aren't ringing from the noise when I leave. If I were to return to Piccolo Sogno, I would ask to be seated in a different room. The first room, where the bar was, seemed the most accommodating in this way. If I could be seated there, or outside, I would be able to remember the great food and service and not the punishing noise level.
First time diner. Really enjoyed all aspects of the experience. Excellent.
The food was excellent and the service outstanding. This was our first visit to PS. Glad I purchased gift certificates for our children's' 2019 Christmas presents.
:45 minute wait despite reservation. Mussels were tiny but delicious. Eat here often - have for years
We went there for Restaurant Week and the menu was fabulous. So many choices. The short ribs with polenta were amazing. And all for $36.00! As always the service was outstanding.
However, it tastes bland and is not clear.
I get tired of the amount.
