Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for over a decade, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves tasty omelettes, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

Not been here for a while. It used to be excellent.

This time, we were allowed to off the set menu and then a different waiter came back and told us we had to make a new order off the a la carte but some items were the same but just charged at a higher price.

Our particular waiter ( and he seemed to be the head waiter ) wasn't particularly nice. That fake, insincere, going through the motions, this isn't what I dreamed of doing with my life type waiter. Nearly ripped my debit card out of my hand when it came time to paying. Metaphorical bad taste in the mouth.

Lovely authentic little restaurant. In a very busy area, but at the same time away from all the busyness. Authentic french food, the quality of which we were very impressed with. Keen to try other dishes on the menu so shall definitely be returning for more! Plus good value for money! 10/10 customer service; the guys were very professional and friendly, and we have felt well looked after. Highly recommended!

There were some very very noisy diners in and we could not hear what we were trying to say to each other. As the alcohol flowed so the decibels increased. Ruined our reunion lunch. Food and staff brilliant as ever. Very sad.

Pierre Victoire never fails to be a good experience - staff and service are excellent. Food was excellent - great value and we had a lovely meal at the weekend. It can be noisy (no soft furnishings to absorb sound) but that's the fault of other diners, not the restaurant. Toilets were being refurbished - so will be a big improvement once finished.

We are not local but have now been several times both for pleasure and working lunches, and will definitely be returning again :o) Thanks everyone, front of house and chefs, for a lovely meal once again.

We returned to Pierre Victoire having had a good few meals here over recent years. The area was very busy due to the nearby Pride procession so we only managed a main course on this occasion. We both had a excellent meal, the standards we have always experienced here are being maintained.

We took our daughter there for a Birthday meal with her partner and overall the lunch menu was excellent and the quality of the food good. However, one of the party ordered the paella from the set lunch menu and it was really not good at all. It was very stodgy, some of the mussels were not even open and he sadly had to leave most of it as it was really inedible. On reflection, we should have mentioned it but as it was a Birthday meal, we didn’t want to make a fuss. Don’t let this put you off, the food is usually good. Perhaps it was an off day!

The food is truly delicious. There was an issue with my order bcos waiter made a mistake but they immediately fixed it and prepared and served what I ordered. However when the bill came they charged me for the dish they initially tried to serve me! I didn't complain but yea they need to be a little more vigilant.

I had a fantastic lunch with my 3 friends this Saturday. The set menu is amazing value, and had several choices of starter and main course. All four of us thought the food was delicious, the service wonderful, and we can’t wait to return. We are just sorry that it has taken us so long to discover this brilliant gem.

Quiet location tucked away in Soho. Very friendly staff. When my fellow diner felt unwell and couldn’t eat much of his meal, they didn’t charge for it which we thought was excellent. Definitely recommend. Superb value for money on the set menu with a good choice of dishes and food very well presented.

As always very nice, but the service wasn’t great this time. It took quite long to get anyone’s attention and one particular waiter seemed a bit rude when we finally wanted to order drinks. The rest of the staff were helpful though

Always love the PV. Food, service, atmosphere. And love introducing people to it. Had a small grip about the quality of the lamb shank this time, which I mentioned to the waiter. It had a lot of gristle.

Overall a good experience, there was a problem with our main course, I think the order was misplaced, after about 25 mins the server acknowledged there was a problem and our food would not be long, my wife’s duck was a little chewy, I think this was down to them rushing our order through because of the delay. Apart from that everything was superb, staff ambiance etc. Deserts and coffee given free gratis due to our wait was a welcome surprise, we will definitely go back to Piere Victoire’s again.
PS very very good steak tartar 👍

Friendly and attentive service but the food does not do justice to the “French” heritage that the branding promises. Toulouse sausage was lacking the authentic flavour and any real hint of garlic, could have been bought from the Tesco next door and was served on a pillow of lukewarm sweet potato pureé – nothing French about that. Grilled Bavette steak was crazily overpriced at £16.50 when the actual piece of meat would have cost no more than £2.00 at trade prices, was under-seasoned and the mushroom sauce that covered the steak was thin and flavourless. Great frites, however. Grilled fish of the day was, in contrast, very well cooked and beautifully presented.
