Will definitely be returning - great food, lovely staff, great atmosphere
Another excellent set menu meal at Pierre Victoire. You can’t beat the quality of food at this price in Central London. I can’t find another restaurant anywhere that only charges £3 for a dessert! Will definitely return.
We visited after a theatre trip and we were welcomed as soon as we arrived. We were shown to our table and there was a great atmosphere as it was about half full. I ate off the inclusive menu choosing the chicken liver starter and confit of duck, both were delicious and of generous portions. My wife had sea bass off the a la carte menu and that too was excellent. To round off we had creme brûlée and an apple tarte tartin. The whole meal was excellent value for money and delicious. We will return, what a great find.
We had a very enjoyable meal here, booked at 5pm on a Thursday, prior to a great evening at the theatre. The food from the set menu we chose was excellent and service timely without being intrusive. Although few people were there on our arrival, it was very busy by the time we left at about 6:40.
some of the nicest food around... have been a few times as good as ever
Food and service, as always, is great but it is very noisy.
We had a very nice meal but initially the waitress tried to sit us at an awkward table for 3 facing the wall even though there were only 2 of us. I noticed that she offered the table to other couples who always asked to sit elsewhere.
Excellent food and service and very reasonably priced. I have had a pre theatre meal and a lovely lunch here in the last few weeks and both times the food and service have been spot on! I’ll be visiting again soon, thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Lovely ambiance too.
Fantastic place...really intimate, really authentic French, great food, great atmosphere...will be back.
Tucked away just off Oxford Street, Pierre Victoire offers generous portions of well-prepared and tasty food. We went for the three course set menu; lots of choice, few annoying supplements and all very well cooked and served by friendly and obliging staff. Noise level on Sunday was medium and we spent an unhurried three hours in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Really friendly service, delicious food for a low price.
Really nice meal at this cute little restaurant. We both had steaks, and while the meat wasn't cooked particularly to my idea of medium rare, the beef itself and the sauces were particularly good.
Only two negatives - it's a bit loud, particularly when the pianist is performing, but he was also very talented and lovely to listen to while we ate. Also my glass of house merlot wasn't very good at all, but it's my fault for not tasting it first. I'm sure they would've been happy with replacing it if I had asked.
Excellent French Bistro with friendly and welcoming staff serving good food at a reasonable price. Although a bit noisy, the restaurant has a good ambience and intimate setting. It is always worth a visit and I would certainly recommend it to friends.
Excellent value for money as always and great atmosphere
Great ambience, fantastic food, very attentive service. 10/10
Didn’t have everything on their menu, service was poor, waiter threw the menu onto the table very rudely when asked for the menu, food was shoved on to the table in a very unwelcoming way when being served. Starters were good but sides and mains were overly salted. Constant draft due to their broken door so it was very chilly throughout out the meal. Whole experience was very unsatisfying.
The food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced. Authentic french atmosphere and beautiful pianist playing. Will definitely go back when I’m next in London.
The restaurant is Great !
The food was very tasty, the service great and there was a live piano !
So good we went twice in three days. Pianist on Saturday evening was outstanding.
Loved everything about Pierre Victoire. The food was excellent, as was the Merlot, the service was perfect; very friendly, attentive staff, swift service but not rushed. And it wasn't so noisy that you couldn't hold a conversation with your fellow diner. We loved it so much that we are going back in a couple of months when we are next at the theatre. Oh and good value for money.
Still love it after all these years! It does seem to get noisier every time we go though- not the place for a romantic tete-a-tete!
Food delicious, waiters super (although we miss Matteo), nice new clean shiny loos, excellent value prices, capacious wine list- can't wait to go back!
Service laughably terrible, one of worst I’ve ever seen, items requested 10 times still brought - plus reservation was lost even though it was on the app meaning we ended up with a cramped table. Food was average+, which given your in soho the food capital of uk it’s not exactly what you want. Previous reviews on here and google are a bit of a mystery to me.
This a place not to miss when you are visiting London. Good food, great service. Nice range of meals without being over fussy or pretentious.
We will be back!
Cute French restaurant in the center of it all. Food and service was excellent. Live piano player added to the ambience. It is loud though.
Nice atmosphere, fitted in before theatre. Moules really sweet and not overpowered by other things. Great location clean
Great service, Even when Bailey's had ran out, they made sure they went out to get some
Excellent venue. I haven’t been in about 10 years and although the food wasn’t as outstanding as I remember it being it was very good. No pianist though...I thought he was there all weekend. Lovey time however!
We’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times over the years and it never disappoints. Great atmosphere as well as good food.
A group of six of us had yet another wonderful evening at Pierre Victoire. Always great service and beautiful food. When we get together as a group or when I want to go somewhere with my partner this is often our favourite choice.
Really good ambience and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended for everyone to visit and promise you won’t be disappointed!
Always enjoy PV and look forward to next visit in October. Food, ambience and service always excellent.
A little gem, great food attentive and very efficient service, and really fantastic pre-theatre menu offering. Delicious beautifully presented meal and remarkable value.
Everything is very nice, excellent, brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good food, great value, and a nice environment. Tables are a little squeezed in, but there was more than enough to compensate and we would definitely return.
We had a group of three sitting in the basement area, service was excellent and the food was absolutely beautiful in taste and visuals. One note about the basement is that sound tends to echo so be prepared to speak loudly if the room is full. The extensive wine list is a treat in itself, and the staff are warm and friendly.
Excellent food and value. My only gripe was being at a table next to outside with the windows open we were subjected to the smokers outside. Not a problem created by the restaurant just making other diners aware. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough
Absolutely wonderful experience! Food was brilliant (well cooked, brilliant value)! service was lovely and accommodating and the atmosphere was cosy and warm.
Hard to believe this restaurant is a small chain, it feels entirely independent. Definitely will be back to work our way through the menu!
Great food and great atmosphere, particularly enjoyed the pianist. Staff friendly and helpful with excellent service. Never disappoints.
Lovely french restaurant just a few minutes from Oxford Circus.
We had Calamari and Boeuf Bourguignon which was amazing.
Prices are acceptable.
Don't miss it!
We'll definitely be back soon :)
I have been dining at Pierre Victoire for many years and and have always found the food really good and at a reasonable price. However I have not been there for a while.
My recent visit was rather disappointing. The ambiance was not good; the piano player was playing some very boring and depressing tunes rather than the jazy, up beat tunes I remember from old.
Service was good and my partners roast duck excellent. My roast lamb was good but the dish looked a mess with the red wine jus all mixed with the avocado purée; yuk!
Also not do good value wise, especially the wine which has gone up in price a lot.
