Pint Shop - Cambridge
Great place - loved the atmosphere and the food. Highly recommended
Great service good food great beers, good central meeting place
Nice Sunday roasts. Downstairs Dining room is a bit cramped and dark and stuffy
Great food and fab waitress (red lipstick)!
My husband's fish was not cooked properly, unfortunately, and when he sent it back he waited for ages for a replacement that never came. Eventually he cancelled his order, but it was a very disappointing conclusion to what should have been a special Mother's Day dinner. We were offered free desserts which we refused (my poor husband had not had a main course) & I had to ask to see the manager who apologized rather belatedly and gave us a 25% reduction on the meal and a voucher for a future visit. That was fine, but I wish he had come over much sooner to say sorry & explain the problem - that their chef had just walked out.

We had a lovely meal but had one vegatrian with us choice was poor.
Thank you for leaving feedback, we are currently working on expanding our vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. With changes taking place throughout the year.
Such a great collection of beers with high quality pub classics. Lamb steak was a highlight.
Tasty food and nice quick service (we were going onto the Corn Ex afterwards). The lighting was suddenly lowered at 6.30pm and it became almost ridiculously dim. However must complement the large range of gins.
Good food in a nice and relaxed setting. Impressive choice of beers. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good menu for children. We do like the Pint Shop and we'll be back again 😀
Beautiful food, good service, nice ambiance and choices of many ales
A very pleasant pub with good food at affordable prices. Good service and comfortable surroundings.
The lunch menus are ideal for a shopping expedition.
The halloumi flatbread was a little disappointing. The flavour balance was just a bit off - too salty and tasted burnt rather than chargrilled. And far too much pickled cabbage, which overwhelmed the dish.
But dessert (citrus meringue) was good and the pink grapefruit gin was great!! And nice friendly service.

We were recommended to this buzzing restaurant in the centre of Cambridge and we weren't disappointed. Interesting and unique tasty dishes, good selection of beers and reasonably priced. will definitely go again next time in Cambridge.
Great food, great service from Crofty and great range af beer
Will definitely be back. Our waitress was excellent, one of the best I have ever met actually. She knew every meal on the menu with recommendations and drink knowledge and additional recommendations. I tried a new gin which I loved and even had tips for use at home. Really nice ambience and close to our next venue.
Will be back.
The food at Pint Shop is incredible, really pleased I found this place for our little trip to Cambridge. The drinks, even non-beer are also excellent. We found the service a little slow, for example we were left with our dirty plates for a while, which is one of my pet hates. It was tricky to attract a server because by the time we left the place was heaving, but it was a great place to people watch in the evening and we really enjoyed it. As with all Cambridge, it was filled with young people, in our mid-thirties we were almost the oldest in the room; but that’s a university town for you. I would definitely recommend a visit for the food and drinks, the quality is excellent and the portions not too big.
It was a lovely dinner experience, staff were very energetic and friendly. would definitely visit again
Great food and great quality beers!
Lovely food great choice of beer
The food was average and my husband potatoes were raw, which they very kindly took of the bill.
I would suggest them to improve the clarity of their main menu, as at the top of the food menu has Drinks and they were 2 gin and tonics and a Hard Lemonade that my 14 years old ordered and got served, thinking of course it was lemonade, only when he said it did not taste like lemonade, I did asked the waitress and she confirmed that was an alcoholic drink, which was amusing if not slightly worrying.
The Pint Shop is a great pub for a beer and snack around the bar area but as for the food, we wont hurry back.

Huge choice of beers - food fantastic with exciting options for all - veggie loved the roast celeriac whilst the 2 course roast was superb. particularly impressed with the salmon starter
This is the second time I have dined in the Pint Shop.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the lunch. I ordered a steak that was lacking in flavour and had a chewy texture. The service was disappointing, as our waitress was unfriendly and inattentive. She also swapped our orders, such that I requested for a peppercorn sauce but ended up having the butter sauce and my friend the vice versa.
It also took almost another hour for them to serve us our main dish.
I do not recommend this restaurant, except for their extensive list of beers.
This place has been recommened to us but it was a dissapointment. Staff was way too busy and distracted-but nice. The food was plain and small, starter was soo dry and burned. It was not a good dinner and as I had guests over from other countries I was embarassed because of You. Highly unlikely that I (we) ever go back and that I am going to recommend this place to anyone.
Also toilet is on the 3rd (??!) floor. Huge mistake.

Great service and unusual interesting menu with great choice of Beer
Excellent service by very knowledgable and friendly staff. The food was of very good quality which was surprising and unexpected. It offered very good value for money.
The beer selection again was exceptional and served in perfect condition.
Noisy but with friendly staff, the atmosphere is laid back and basic in a good way. However the food really disappoints, over- salted and over- cooked. Even the basic burger was below average whilst the lamb shank was dry and tasteless. Beer of course was fine but wine is over priced for the offering.
We had a really good evening at the Pint Shop, our burgers were delicious, cooked to perfection, and the service was efficient and friendly. Our only one small issue was that the light above our table kept flickering which was a bit off putting. Our neighbours told us they had mentioned it already to the staff and apparently it’s a problem in the whole building? Apart from that all was excellent and we look forward to going again.
Excellent beer selection. Food tends to over promise and under deliver. Some good elements but not hearty enough for a gastropub and not good enough for fine dining.
Service & food & staff were amazing!
Really nice place, shame about the food. The platter was tiny and not worth £12 that we paid for it. The burger was okay, but nothing to write home about. My main course didn’t have all the components that were listed and was very poor quality. The place was understaffed so I think they were under a lot of pressure. Wouldn’t recommend for food-beer is great though!
I had read about this in a 2017 'The Dish' , it was one of the best 100 places to eat. Sounded very appealing therefore, but actually it was quite mediocre. the starters were ok, the fried fish the best of the selection and the scotch egg somewhat average. My spit roast chicken was probably the better of the mains. the lamb was a little on the tough side, and the liquid in the pork was a bit out of place. The selection of gins was amazing though, lots of wonderful locally brewed beers too. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive.
We came on a day out with the family of 7. The food was excellent, very high end quality pub food with a twist, exactly what we wanted. We had a private room which with kids was a bonus. Very nice leisurely Saturday lunch.
As ever, a great way to eat before an evening event in Cambridge, this time at the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
Great food, great beer.
Great for pre theatre drinks and/or food. Friendly, attentive staff. Only issue on this occasion was an extremely fatty (40%) rump steak.
A lovely waitress explained the new menu. Food was very delicious and arrived quickly. Thanks
Cracking food, great setting
Decent meal at a reasonable price.
The food was not just disappointing it was mediocre. Luckily the service was good and friendly.
The atmosphère is 'non existant' in the restaurant.

Beer and food was very expensive. No privacy as tables very close together. Consequently quite noisy.
